Future Winning Eleven: PS3!!! discuss

Does anybody have an idea if there going to show valid news in this magazines (this magazine is meant to be out since lat week anyways)?

Because usually Famitsu magazine handles all the official Winning Eleven news, if i'm right.

Hopefully will get some good shots of WE11 on the 27th at this games event. :)

p.s. - Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but i'm like 14 pages behind!

Well you all know until they stop producing WE/PES on the PS2 the game will be held back.
So for the millionth time you are going to have to wait for WE12 until you get the real deal Sorry.

I ask to my friend Ernestito to contact Konami Germany by mail for informations about the Bundesliga and the Mannschaft.
And i contact Erik who try to contact Konami Sweden for more informations.

According to who? They said last year that the PS3 version would use the same engine as PES6 360

Nothing to suggest that the ps3 is worked on since 2005 and nobody ever said the ps3 version would use the same engine as the Pes6 Xbox 360, at least for now. "It was a natural flow from our development from PS1 to PS2 and it’s a natural flow to understand that it’s going to be PS3. But with the 360 version in development this natural flow might not be the natural flow in the future."

Based on Seabass's interview, it rather suggest ps3 as the leading platform.

We still think that the PC, 360, PS3, and Wii considered as next gen, we will not differentiate or create specifically for those. Our goal is to create something in the center and then spread out where the audience is. Regarding the console wars, there's no one better console than the other although i would say that the Xbox 360 is probably the better choice in terms of the current games market. However, we must be reminded that Xbox 360 is not doing very well in japan compared to Ps3 (exclude hot selling Wii) and for the near future, I don't see why Konami should change ther strategy in developing WE.

After the conflict between Konami and Microsoft about the deadline of PES 6 360 version ( leading to the unfinished version been released ) it wil be perfectly possible that Konami changed their mind and made PES 7 with PS 3 the main console.
This interview with Seabass is from well before that conflict. Add the Microsoft-Sony war ( about 360-PS 3 ) and you have more reasons to make the PS 3 the primary console.

Well Dude:

Which format is leading the development?

Seabass: In the past we focused on the PS2 version of PES first but with the switch to next-gen everything is now led on PC and then moved across onto Xbox 360 and PS3, so the formats are now treated very equally. As for the DS and PSP, we're not attempting to squeeze the full version of the game on handheld because it wouldn't work. Instead the game will have the same simplicity of PES1 and PES2 but we'll add all of the new features to make it play like the latest versions on the other consoles

It wasn't really a conflict but rather a marketing ploy by microsoft leading to some misunderstanding. Either way, Konami's WE target market are the japanese so it's only natural for them to associate themselves to sony. I don't know about you guys but i have my reservations over WE11..

Does not mean much to me, I mean fifa on the 360 is a brand new game so I am sure konami can do the same with the ps2 ps3 version.

Right mate, not gonna argue with you on this one. I can continue and find more info on the jap forums but I don see the point having a dig at each other. What i can say is the playstation controller is definitely the best match. Interviews conducted by the western media and jap media gives very different responses.

Agreed, I also find it weird to play it on the 360.

i think you guys are dwelling on this way too much. i dont think we should be too skeptical about WE11. WE5 on the PS2 was way better than its PS1 counterpart WE2001. the same in the world cup year 2003 where WE6 on PS2 was even better on PS2 and years ahead of the PS1's WE2002. We are hoping for alot from Konami but i know that they will deliver.

As for the lead SKU point, the PS3 is the lead SKU as has been said many times be reliable sources. Programming of any game takes place on a PC for models, graphics, sound etc. which was what seabass was saying in his interview. This does not necessarily mean that the PC is the lead platform as they program with the PS3 in mind. Ports are then made from the game engine designed on the PC.

I expect WE11 to be an excellent game, not a finished product by any means but a great game that will keep me occupied for a year. It will definetly not reach the PS3's potential but with every year the game will get better. Have some faith people.

Unfortuantily Everyone knows Seabass lies more than any of us on the forums.
Look at the Gamespeed differences between WE10 PS2 and PES6 PS2 then suprise suprise the Xbox 360 version also suffers from the same gamespeed issues but dont worry its just a coincidence and nothing to do with it being ported from the PS2.

WE5 PS2 was the worst game Konami ever released and the same versions were better on the PS1, just like the PS2 versions are clearly better than the Xbox 360 and sadly the same will be said for the original PS3 version.

The Xbox 360 version will always be screwed and will never recieve its own development.
The PS3 will be held back until they drop the PS2 versions.

If Konami really create their games using the PC how come the PC version is ported and has the same crappy garphics of the systems when they could have had amazing graphics better than PS3 and Xbox 360 2/3 years ago like most PC games.

The next gen version is focused on the PS3, ask to Adonis and Riot, it's 100% sure.

embraceuk1, i guess we'll just have to wait and see. the good thing for the PS3 this time is that the first next-gen edition of Winning Eleven was released on the Xbox 360. so all the mistakes were hopefully made on that edition and as we all saw that was truly the case because the xbox 360 version of PES6 was terrible.

the reason the PC version is not as good as the next gen versions, i dont know. u'll have to ask the man himself that question

its easy....most PC's cant perform as well as a PS3 or a x360....ppl would need to have a million dollar PC to perform as well as a next gen console and to run those kind of hd games.

ppl would need to upgrade their pc to run those games, and that costs alot.

I agree

yeah but when you look at the number of high-end gaming pc's sold worldwide its not that big a number compared to consoles. Crysis is gonna need a 400 dollar graphics card alone!!!

As Thomas says Ive has very reliable sources say that the PS3 is the lead sku. If you dont wanna believe me we've had our very good journalist friend Riot confirm that also.

I know that interview stated that the 360 will be the next gen engine, but quite honestly that was before the reception PES6 on 360 actually got. The game hardly sold, and was drafted into sales and offers almost straight away. This caused Konami to change their strategy.

They obviously knew they messed up with the 360 version, thats why they started again but this time on Sonys machine. Its quite credible that because of the consoles different architecture they decided to keep the same engine for the X360, and develope a new one for the PS3.

People can chat all they want about sales of the PS3, the fact is PES/WE is a system seller. It will certainly shift consoles in both Japan and Europe. I expect the PS3 version of the game to hit number one in Japan, and stay there for many weeks.

Dont forget Konami are quite close with Sony, MGS4 anyone? ;)

That cancels the "we are working 2 years on PS3"... Isn't it?

well, maybe they already decided to chose a different engine for the PS3 version because they found working on both consoles too different. Other companies are lazy and will port it over, where as we know Konami have a great relationship with Sony and been working with the console as long as anyone.

anybody know off hand how many copies of winning eleven sold in japan for 360?

Winning Eleven X 360 = 22,418
Winning Eleven 10 PS2 = 1,052,066
Winning Eleven 10 PSP = 120,632

I believe WE10 hit a million sales quicker then PES6 hit a million. Might be chattin out of my ass, but I thought I read recently that PES6 recently passed a million.
