The only game not to get updated is WE! Just our luck. Really hope we hear something soon. I mean, it has to be this week surely? Especially if the other 7 have been shown. Im putiing my money on it being shown by Monday 11th June. You heard it here first ;)

I would love Konami released winning 11 in august... but since I can buy my PS3 not until september, I could also live with the 20september.

It looks like you all have ignored this important Seabass interview.

And, upon all, i'm so glad that finally there will be a great improvement, this one:

On the ps2, we had the players only moving in 8 directions, now on the ps3 we have double that, so we expect that the analogue stick will be decesive in gameplay.
 
I was just looking back on the images that were released for Pro Evo 6 on the 360 at pro-g.co.uk, where I first saw the intial shots of what we thought would be the game (the terry adriano shots) and saw the date added was may 10th obviously with E3 downsized this year may is slightly less significant but if you move forward to the next screenshot released it was June 12th, now if Konami were to follow the pattern from last year heres hoping we might seem some screenies next tuesday, unlikely I know but just a thought!
 
thats a fake interview...april fools day...how many time will we need to repeat that!? thats why everyone ignored it
 
I am starting to think that MS's claim of a years exclusive release on next gen may have been true even though KONAMI refuted it. We are so used to a Winning Eleven release (forget PS3 where is the PS2 version!).

If PES7 and Winninng Eleven do get release late September / Early October then it was nearly 12 months....
 
well, i'm following this trhead since a lot, i've heard the arcticle that was an April fool, it has been posted around just 1 april and it was different, i didn't followed this post since two weeks, now i come here and i saw the new arcticle i didn't read before and then you tell me this is an april fool, so i tryed to search the whole post (61 pages).
It's very hard, but i found among pages 51 and 54, what seems to be the first time the new arcticle i mean, was posted, it was a scan from a french magazine.
Nobody said that was an April fool, but in the meantime someone posted the old arcticle that speaks about licenses (Israel etc...) and all the people said this was an April fool, so i think you misunderstanding the two arcticles.
If i'm wrong and both the two arcticles are April's fool, please showme the thread's page where the proof are in.

In a few words: i think the April fool's arcticle was that one speaking about licenses and more championships, instead, that one speaking about more than 8 direction is a different one and i didn't find the proofs it's a fake.

But i think Thomasgoal wrote about that second article that it were all speculations by OPM3...bu what about the interview then???
 
Well, i've been reading all the pages from 53 to 61, i didn't find anything about the arcticle i mean is an April fool, but only about the "13 fully licenced leagues" arcticle.

Please NickSCFC and you all stating this is an April fool, where are the proofs? I think you are misunderstanding the two arcticle.
 
Konami really need to work on their marketing department.

There's been a lot of enthusiasm regarding the next-gen iteration of the game, and none of it has been invested by Konami. Not a single real interview or screenshot. Their loss.

It's a shame we're in year 2007, and a game as great as WE is still spreading mainly by "word of mouth".

And when they release a statement, they sound like fools who know nothing about marketing. I mean, "controversial referee calls"?????? Yeah. Because everytime I play WE, I am thinking "Gee, this game sure does need some controversial referee calls".

I agree it would make the atmosphere much more realistic and is a good addition to the game. But is it the kind of statement (1 out of 4 announced) you want to give to attract ppl to your new game???

Konami really sucks at many things. The only thing they did right, was the gameplay engine. And that was 4 years ago.

I'm now playing PES7 patched with FIFA kits (theend's), FIFA commentary, and user-made faces and stadiums. What drives me mad is that these brilliant stadiums are all USER made. Konami -the professionals- can't even draw grass.

I hope they were saving their money all these years for the development of the PS3 version. I hope so.

NickSCFC was being sarcastic - I was going to follow up his post with "way to confuse everybody for no reason apart from being a tit", but then I would have been the one who was torn to pieces, so...

What you say is true, the 13-league news is the one and only April Fools.
 
Sidenote; (about graphics)

The version that the 360 got is really just a "cleaner" more clearer' game. It has the same textures that the ps2 version has except it's just smoother and more defined, but NOT in the least completely redone or rerendered.


I'm hoping Konami REALLY change the look for the new winning Eleven drastically.
 
Just called the Konami UK office. Spoke to a nice chap and managed to ask some questions and get some answers from him. I have posted them below. Since its a phone conversation i have written it to the best i could remember;

Can you tell us if WE/PES will be released on the PS3 this year?
Konami will be releasing PES7 on all Next-Gen formats during the usual yearly release time-frame. Expect a delayed release for the Nintendo Wii.

For all you doubters out there, here it is. straight from Konami UK that PES7 will be released on all next-gen formats.

When will Konami UK or even Konami Tokyo be releasing details about the next-gen game?
I can't comment on Konami Tokyo. Unfortunately at this time that we don't known when we will be releasing information. This is also handled by our PR Company.

Any idea on commentary for the game and if it still includes Peter Brackley?
That was completed some weeks ago.

Can you provide us with any information regarding licenses?
These have not yet been finalised. That will all be announced closer to release date.

Sorry, but thats all i can disclose at the moment. I haven't personally seen the PS3 version, but Konami UK have been shown demonstrations.

Thats all i could get out of him and the guy seemed to wana get off the phone. So confirmation for all who doubt. Even a Wii version there. Licenses though looks like they havent been finalised (maybe they are trying to get more). But it seems that we should hear something soon.

I feel this whole community is like one huge soap bubble :D when we see first screens and videos, and if they will actually be stunning, the world will end, hehe :D
 
But question remains, why is konami being so confidential about this game? I mean look at other games for example, screenshots, interviews, trailers etc are released way long before their release dates. Dammit..
 
I posted some about this issue before..the thing is, at least I believe so, that Konami had shit their paints cause they know they messed up the game for PS3, and that they cant deliver what we ask..

So if i'm right, if this is not an April fool, the 16 differents directions is a big improvement, i think the biggest the game could get
 
Yes ARIGATO suffdaddy :lmao: , It's clear now :) , But since you talk about PES7 Can somebody please tell me if the PC version will have the NextGen Graphics or just like the ps2 version ,has Konami annouced anything about that or no :roll: ?
