I've just looked up "Japanese calendar" using Wikipedia and it says that all their months start with different characters but always end with the character "月", see the following list (spoilered to save space):

  • January - 一月 (ichigatsu)
  • February - 二月 (nigatsu)
  • March - 三月 (sangatsu)
  • April - 四月 (shigatsu)
  • May - 五月 (gogatsu)
  • June - 六月 (rokugatsu)
  • July - 七月 (shichigatsu)
  • August - 八月 (hachigatsu)
  • September - 九月 (kugatsu)
  • October - 十月 (jūgatsu)
  • November - 十一月 (jūichigatsu)
  • December - 十二月 (jūnigatsu)
So I'm presuming it's either an erroneous fake because there's letters missing (in which case, Thomas, SERIOUSLY, do fakes for some golf game or something), or it simply means "September", which would be odd...

-Much better online game then before; no more lag, and there will be a 2 vs 2 option online with extra options (for
example: 1 player the team; 1 the keeper).

I wish they would have this..

that would be incredible and well worth the wait imo if this means "real" manual keeper control.. the manual keeper option they have currently is half ass crap and not very usueful as it should be

I hope that konami finally lets you take control of the keeper easily and have a button for making a manual save.. this would put the WE/PES series over the top imo... real manual keeper control would make it the most addicting multiplayer sports game EVER.

I really don't understand why they have not done this yet..

EA had this in it's hockey series on the Sega Genesis back in the day which made it still to this day one of the best sports games ever because you could stop anything or any chit goals because you had total control of the goalie if you were good enough.

I think most fans want total control.. give us the ability to control the keeper and make our own saves when on the keeper.. I do NOT want the chitty computer AI attempting to make the save when I'm on the keeper.. I'm smarter than the AI. please

It looks like we are not the only tryng to find out what konami is cooking for dinner.........

FROM EUROGAMER INTERVIEW TO FIFA PRODUCER:

Eurogamer: Moving on to the subject of your competition, do you talk to the Konami guys?

Joe Booth: Yeah, Kaz [Makita - one of the FIFA developers] does when he goes over to Tokyo, so he was over there a couple of weeks ago and he had a name of someone that worked... one of the producers there, so he gave them a call and his counterpart that does the gameplay for Seabass, they went out and had a coffee.

Eurogamer: Did you bug him?

Joe Booth: It was sort of like the KGB versus the CIA, yes. A very caged conversation. But yeah, I think there's a bit of mutual respect there. We have huge respect for Konami.

there is no winning eleven 11 for the ps3 this year, why don't you guys just stop the hype and forget about this game right now, close this thread and open it next year, stop posting in this thread now kthxbye -konami staff

the characters placed before the "month" symbol are just numbers written in characters, so that 9"symbol" would just mean september...

but it seems a fake :°)

It has already been confirmed as a fake - but thanks for that little Japanese lesson! :) I was wondering if it could actually be written like that.

We have already confirmed many times on this thread that Winning Eleven will be released on the PS3 this year.

haha...sarcasm doesn't go THAT well in this thread as we are all very anxious and eager for WE to come and with not much news yet, we are all very very anxious....

so yeah...sorry for not accepting sarcasm well....

and for others, please...not much more fake stuff or sarcastic stuff in this thread (unless u write it at the end or something)...the reactions will just backfire and there's no point in it!

Yes it can be written like that, in truth, I think it's more common nowadays in Japan to use roman numerals for dates and other things to write numbers rather than kanji. They use them for maths as well. :)

it's very simple to learn the japanese months , 月 is the chinese caracter for moon or month and the other caracters are chinese numbers from 1 (一) to 12 (十二) .
edit : it's not a rule to write the months only in chinese caracters , the arabic number are also often used along with the chinese caracter for month .

every one here post that the game is confirmed for this year !! from where did you guys get this thing from !! konami did`nt say any simple word about the game until now and i`ve already said that i guess it will be out next year or maybe will not coz the PS3 doing SHit right now and the future for the console seem to be fogy

Please continue, you are a very good cabaretist better than benny hill or Mr. Bean:lmao:

"Captain's Log", eh Nick? :)

Tell me, guys. If I were to write something that I intended to get as near as possible to Seabass' team, where would I address it to? KCET? Or would I be better off sending it to some of the European HQs in hope that they'd forward it?

I mean, I hear that every year you guys send some stuff over to their team (which is not the same as saying that they actually get it or read it ;) ). But I just wanted to know something from your experience.

No need to bash - I'm not here on a childish "looky-here, I'm gonna be heard" quest :) It's just that, with the advent of the supposed "Fantasista Mode", and me having had lots of hope for that mode since the Player Camera came up in PES4 and having always been frustrated because it is sort of unplayable as it is, I'd like to share some thoughts about it's implementation - control and gameplay-wise only. Even if some of them aren't doable because of timing, architecture, or simply because they have other ideas or they are not interested in mine - which I respect - at least I tried :)

I dabbled in a couple of similar problems while implementing some camera and control styles on a similar game style that I started just for kicks in my own time a couple of years ago, but never got through with it because real life bumped in the way.

Also - and I know I might get some hate over this :) - but I happened to like the control (which is not to say that the gameplay was good) of the infamous LiberoGrande series... Most of it is nostalgia, I reckon, because a couple of weeks ago I went back to it and... well, it just doesn't keep up that well with today's standards. But one thing that I have to face is that controlling the player, passes, and camera in LiberoGrande - either 1 or "International" - feels a lot more natural that the Player camera in PES/WE :(

Mostly because of the 8 directions that we're stuck to in PES up to now, but also because of the camera implementation.

Honest, go try it. But if you do play the Player Camera in PES/WE, at least do it in the Training Ground, since the gameplay is a lot more smooth in that stadium because the surroundings of the field are mostly trees, which are textures in a polygon.

Well, I digress.

Any ideas about an address? :)

Keep up the good work guys.

Paulo Tavares

[EDIT]: Found this in Konami's corporate site... "1. It is Konami policy not to accept any proposals concerning our products and services, unless we have advertised for suggestions or ideas on our website. This is to avoid any possible confusion in future between proposals from third parties and our own. Please click here for further details.". Sigh. Still going through with it, though.

Lets face it "Fantasista Mode" will be shit the only way it could work if you play under normal camera mode but control only one player but it will be a gimmick and get boring real quick.

A behind player camera will never work its not like real life where you can see everything thats going on from the corner of your eye or instinct etc.
It just something else Konami can distract us with while they add no proper improvements to the key elements of the game.
