Football Manager 2009

You have to enable it in Preferences ---> Display & Sound, Dags. Me and CW have just copied our FM08 graphics folder straight into FM09 folder and it works perfectly. Team Logos, Badges, Kits, Flags, Competition Logos, Stadium Pics, Background Pics, the lot :)).
 
Yep, I know about enabling it in preferences, but I didn't think 08 had any backgrounds shipped out-of-the-box?

You fancy zipping/rarring your graphics folder and sharing it out? ;)
 
Nah it didn't have any shipped out of the box mate, we added them ourselves :)). Our graphics folder is about 900MB, so it ain't really worth it is it? It's gonna take aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages to compress and upload.
 
Yeah Tims graphics folder was a touch glitchy last night so we had to copy the one I had on my machine over. Took an hour for me to put it on a memory stick and about 4 hours for Tim to put it on his machine!
 
It only took 45 mins mate, it was taking 4 hours as we were playing FM while doing it :LOL:. I stopped it and did it later while we weren't playing and it only took 45 :TU:.
 
Dags/Jonney/anyone interested, I don't mind leaving my laptop on overnight tonight to do it? I can compress it and split the files so they are about 90MB each, then I can PM you the links in the morning. How does that sound?

Yeah there are facepacks in there too, not sure how many though. Where will be a good place to upload? CW is going to do it now for you guys. But places like rapidshare will only let you download 50MB every 2 hours or something :LOL:. We need a place with no limits?
 
I think I have found somewhere to upload the parts. Megaupload seems to be the one place with a large free limit unless someone else knows a better place I will start putting it there this afternoon
 
CB when are you uploading your Stadia and Logo pack?

does it contain anything else?
 
I'll upload it shortly, it's only English stadia and logos though, my full graphics pack is over 1gb and if CW & Tim are going to upload theirs then they've got more patience than I have. ;)

That seems to be the way to get around it. I never reject. I only negotiate for a huge transfer fee that they won't pay. if you think about it, that's what the computer does too.

so,is this an exploit of somekind? or u think that happens irl?
i mean a player wont be unhappy if u as for an astonomical value, while he will get upset if u reject the offer?

i play FM/CM since CM97-98 and never noticed that! lmao
cost me Lescott!!!i had to sell him to chelksi for 11m(euro) after i reject an offer and he asked for transfer list. :(
now im trying to buy Dante(DLC) from standart liege..but i cant get him a work permit, i saw he is awating paperwork to become a belgian citezen, anyone knows if that takes long ?

I consider it an exploit, but I'd rather it stays that way. imo its unrealistic how players get unsettled far too easily, even if I'm Milan or Barca.
 
Its not an exploit its just upping the price as the computer does to you

we are forced to pay it and if they reject they get unhappy just like our players

my key players wouldnt last 1 month in the trasfer window cause there are so many teams interested...and seems everton popularity isnt very good in the game since players speak of newcastle or spurs beeing a big club like everton wasnt :(

btw, im doing quite good in my season, im in feburay stand in 5th place only 3 points behind chelsea(beat them 0x1 at stamford and draw 1x1 at goodison) and i stand 9 points ahead of the 6th place astn villa..so im pretty much settle for the UEFA cup and maybe can evan get a CL spot if chelsea start running a poor form. in the cups though ,i was a dissaster, got knoecked out by burnley in the carling cup 1st round(2x1 on overtime) and knocked out in the FA 1st round by blackburn 1x0... In the UEFA cup im in the quarter finals now, will face valencia, so its problaby another elimination coming my way :(

so anyone has anyidea if the second nationality process takes too long? i really want to buy Dante, but he must get the belgian passaport..and since the beginig of the season it says "awaiting paperwork"
 
It takes a random period of time as far as I know. A lot of the time players are eligible and they don't even choose to apply.

I started with Parma last night. Had Reginaldo, didn't look overly good, worth £100k but about 5 clubs interested. So I put an asking price of £500k on him.

Clubs made bids comprising of packages worth £500k!! Not sure what the deal was I accepted but it's something like £100k up front, £400k over 24 months and 20% of his sell-on fee :WOOT: Quality.
 
that was a good deal imo dags...specially cayse reginaldo doenst have a good PA i think.

btw,anyone found a way to edit the bloody shorts and socks colors? or the player apperances?
im still waiting for some solution in this matter, so i can start a proper brazilian division too..there are too many mistakes in the league atm....
 
Yep, cracking deal I thought. Having some problems bringing in new players though. Got a couple of RB's in talks (some Swiss guy named Nef) and signed Andrius Velička on loan from Rangers.

I did bring in Ljungberg for £14k to replace Reginaldo though :D
