I will HOPEFULLY be in this lunchtime if I am in the office when Joe is home from lunch, if not and Joe could leave his PC on when he goes back after lunch then I SHOULD be able to join when I do eventually get back to the office today. Providing someone PMs me with the Hamatchi / League details!
 
I wrote this in the chatbox.... just some tips I'd recommend for a big FM game.

- Make sure you guys set your friendlies on the same days. Usually we do 3 each all on same days
- Set the continue timeout timer to 5, 10 or 20 seconds, so if someone is idle it auto continues, if you move the mouse the timer disappears
- Be patient, with lots of people a day will take ages to finish!

Cheers Stef :)). I think that last one is vital! This isn't gonna be like playing on your own, flying through weeks at a time. It's gonna be slow progress, but will also give us real time to do what we want with our teams :)).
 
Cheers Milan - I sorted it out eventually.

I found a guide on how to install Hamachi. But you have to go through a System a bit like the Dos Mode on PC's and I had to type in lots of shit!!!

I am not very good at computers so It was a bit of a slog.

So Every time I need to log onto hamachi - I need to go through and write a few commands in this 'Dos Type' Thingy.

Hopefully I will get it to work again next time I log in :DD

Anyway - Yesterday I just Quit Football manager - Is this right - Just to press Quit? Will all my stuff be recorded?

Joe said he would save it regularly - but if I press quit before he has saved - will my stuff be recorded? I'm sure it must be - but just checking :))
 
Joe will save it when he leaves the game, as long as he's the last to leave, it's all good.

Surely you can make an easy script to do the commands for you?

If I knew what an 'Easy Script' was - I might be able to :DD

Or post in the PC Help thread? Explain that you need some help from a Mac user and I'm sure someone could make a file up for you. You'd basically just need to click a file, or type one command, and it'll do all of your messing for you.

Ooh - It's ok though, I think I only need to type a couple of things - It shouldn't be too hard :DD It will come as second nature to me - when we play a couple of times.

I just do what I'm told :DD

Apparently just joining a network through Football Manager is a bit Hit and miss. So We Download this Hamachi thing to make sure we can all be connected properly.

Thats the Gist of it - I think? :DD
 
Yep, it's so that Bobby's Mac thinks he's on a LAN with us lot. Makes the connection a bit easier.
 
Speed is the same I imagine, it just makes it easier without having to enter IP's etc. We just load Hamachi and we're on the virtual network, then it's just a case of clicking on the session in FM. VERY VERY easy.
 
Guys, as the game will advance without some of us being there, how about we say that we aren't allowed to buy players off one another unless we know for a fact that player is actually there?

Of course - Otherwise there will be Hell to Pay!!!!

Thats got to be a main rule.
 
But transfers take days/weeks to go through anyway. You can always set your players asking price and not for sale anyway?
 
I'm just thinking that the transfer window isnt huge and it'd be a shame to miss out on it if some people are rarely on.
 
Yeah the AI might sell to other AI, but don't go bidding on our players if we aren't there :-pp.
