he really is 80% of the team success.. what would current Real be in league table without him? I think below 5th place..
 
that surely is an outstanding record. but I cant agree to your last sentence. an eleven with - benzema, özil, di maria- higuain- at upfront could still score plenty of goals and imo they most probably finish the league as 3rd at least (maybe behind Valencia but that's also quite debatable) considering how most of the other teams have poor squads comparing that team. tell you what, god knows, maybe they could even be a better "team" without CR. but in that case Barcelona's already out there and it's always better to watch teams having their own styles.

as for CR, oh he's truly a machine, he doesn't seem to have the IQ that most of legendary goalscorers had but still he just can't stop scoring and statistically surpassed most of them. recently (and finally) he plays well and scores against Barcelona, too. and his (mostly imaginary) prima donna character seems to be gone as well. he's my fav player and it's really inspirational for me to see him still keep improving day by day.

and fyi it's actually 120 goals, that was an instant tweet sent before that goal. :)

Actually Marca made calculations. They deducted all goals from Messi and Ronaldo from all league games and than adjusted results according to that. That was when difference was 7 points. In that time, without any goal from CR or Messi Barca would be 12 instead of 7 points behind Real Madrid. Real Madrid would only loose win against Valencia which they won 3:2 and without Ronaldo's goal it would be 2:2.
Without Messi's goals Barca would have drawn ahainst Sociedad, Malaga and Betis and would have lost against Bilbao instead of draw.

That is just statistics of course, as those players contribute more than just scoring goals.


Also Casillas has made his 443. appearance in La Liga from kick-of to the end. He is now holding that record together with Manuel Sanchis.

might be, but remember Afonso Alves, he also scored a lot in Eredivision ;)

Certainly a player to watch, City would be crazy not to give him a chance...they also still own slovak player Weiss who is doing ok in espanyol as well.. for a winger..
