To me, the most needed player in Barça's squad is Xavi
He is the worker in the dark of this team. What Messi does, he can do. Not in the same "classy" way Messi does, but just as decisive and play-making.
Ronaldinho_23, you proposed to put videos of a dominated-game such as last CL final of barça, but without Xavi, I'd like to see them please.
Messi is incredible, he is as fast, as precise and as technique as Ronaldo (and also as Ronaldinho, when he was seriously doing what he is paid for). He is the one we like to have as an idol (fairy story, modest, or at least tries to be in public, and smily).
But he needs to have perfect passes to start his play. In Argentinian team, for example, nobody does them.
Messi has a 300M liberatory clause if i remember well. This is only safety (Ronaldo has 1B), but he we had to define a reasonable price for him, I guess it'll be around 90M (just as C Ronaldo). Football has become crazy, but do you realize how much is 200M as you said :CONFUSE:

The real joke on the price picture is Valdes's price :P
 
vise words, but Barca would not sell Messi right now for nothing.. he´s a fan magnet and everything turns around him... and he won´t go nowhere either, since as you said, probably his skills could not be used well in any other team than he is now.

This team know each other for years and play a system, even if Messi would do great in other teams, they would need to learn this..

If Argentina coach learns what players and how to play to get the best of Messi, they win the world cup in 2014...
 
Messi would go anywhere neither, he owes to Barça what he is and is not a "modern-football club-player" (understand mercenary)
 
i just forgot to add, that for Argentina , 4 years to prepeare the team would not be enough to Barcelona style - who teach the same system since the players are kids.. no team currently can copy barca style long term, it take´s years to build what Barca did...10 years minimaly.

Yep, 100% agree.
I am used to saying that Barça's play is the same since Cruyff (for 40 years now)
But we were talking about Messi's capacity to be decisive, and best players (Ronaldo is the best example) were in every team they played in, no matter how long they've been playing in it.
And it is even more specific for attackers who "only" have to score (i mean not be totally complementary with there partners in defense or midfield)

he has talent...but for he, is more dificult score..
torres isn't very fast, hasn't good control, no pass, no dribbling...

maybe, in premier with spaces he is better, he is stronger and has good shoot, sometimes he scored a amazing goal.....when he play for spain...:COAT:

in spain few people want Torres in National..here is most valued Villa, Llorente..

I saw best FW in premier, more complete than he

Come on, you can't judge Torres only regarding the poor monthes he is having in Chelsea. Shevenchko had the same and he is an awesome player.
Torres in Chelsea is just a childish wish from Abramovich, and he got it by proposing money.
Barça only has 30 players. Doesn't mean that every other player on earth deserve to be qualified bad player ...
