They not only killed around 6million Jews but black people, disabled, homosexual people, russians etc etc I think the estimate is around 16 million people around a third were Jewish.

Your view is ridiculous. The salute has no other meaning and if he is stupid to do it he should pay the consequences.

I just get dumbfounded when I hear people with your type of views, I always think it is from a lack of education and In this case I seem to be proven right.

What that Greek player did is utter and utter moronic. Everybody who knows his history will agree. Bobby said that the NAZI's killed 6 millions jews, he's wrong. Recent studies have proved that the Nazi's have killed perhaps four times more jews, between 20 and 24 millions. On top of that they also killed thousands, if not millions of other people like gipsies, homosexuals, black people, sick people,....
A lifelong ban for that guy may be exagerated, the Greeks should have given him an alternative sentence with a visit to Aushwitz and the museum about the holocaust in Israël.

But this has nothing to do with free speech, neither is your pathetic attempt to analyze that conflict between the Palestinian people and the Israëli people (and i'm not talking bout nations here, but about 'people'). I have sympathy for both the Palestinian and the Israëli people. As for the conflict between both countries, i tend to have more sympathy for Plaestina, but i've been reading some books about it and it's far too easy to talk about the good and the bad. One this is certain, in this conflict both sides are clearly the Ugly.

well I'm surprise such a desision coming from a country like greece who is well know for racism , so i doubt that he get lifetime ban for that , there must be something more "personal" with this player ! all tho thats way to much 1-2 years can be more than enough

as for Palestine - Israel , I would say that its most not just thing happening in whole world from many years ! politic its dirty and not just most of times , if there are countrys atacking iraq , afganistan , siria etc etc from they'r OWN dictators why not help a country who is getting ocupated from ONE OTHER country , but I guess we all know why !!! I love palestianian people , im with them , those poor inosent people children , women etc dying everyday and there is no justice for them hope someone help them and god help them and its with them coz they are really brave and great people ... I have been in same situation as them and I hope no one in the world have same luck coz its really bad !

Does it really matter if it was 6million or 1million? It doesn't matter at all on this subject. People were still systematically killed for having religious beliefs, having a different skin colour, political beliefs etc etc

The Salute is still used widely today for people that hold the same beliefs and any sign or action that promotes that belief. People are still being abused and killed because of those beliefs. The salute is a worldwide acceptance that you hold the same beliefs and want to persecute people that are different.

The Greek player has a responsibility and is a role model to lots of young people, who are influenced by what he does. Do you really want them to grow up being intolerant to other races and religions? Is that the right thing to do? Of course not, we have seen over thousands of years that these beliefs lead to blood shed and misery, so why glorify them in public?

The Greek FA have shown balls and in this circumstance and all of the racist things we see from other countries if other FA's acted like this we would see an end to mass showings of intolerance to others and it shows a moral code to the younger generations on how to treat people and respect them, which can only be a good thing in the world today.

Jews get the mickey taken out of them all of the time, have you ever watched Family Guy? :))

I don't watch Family Guy, but I assume they do as many movies and series, they say about Jews that they are avaricious, miserly, eager for money .. this is nothing ,man .. and also Jews can't complain about that ..

anyway, I have no problem with Jews, I just hate their state Israel because it's a terrorist state that stole others' land ..
but I don't mind having an Israeli friend even if I want to see their state vanishing ..

It's a very extreme punishment, but I don't buy the BS that he didn't know what he was doing. It's plain and simple what he did, and now he has to pay for it.

All this has nothing to do with the Greek players salute, which is my point. You used it to go on a rant that has no bearing on what the player did.

You can not agree with the state of Israel and what they are doing, but doing a nazi salute isn't a way of showing that, it is just on a whole different level.

The discussion is pointless in my opinion, what he did was idiotic. Yes, it is freedom of speech but spreading of hatred too.
