Paulinho had a great Confed. cup, and since then gained his trust. He was everywhere, supporting both defense and attack, but that seems like an era ago

Definite red for me. Went over the ball and followed through with his studs. In real time I thought it was harsh, but the replay showed it was pretty nasty.

Hopefully fifa does one good thing now and doesn't allow him to play at least the whole tournament(wasn't the first time he did it+generally isn't a thing you should do).

Not saying that I'm not delighted with the result, but there were many not so successful decisions by the ref in this match. Red for Marchisio was too hard, red for Suarez wasn't given. On the other hand you have to say that Italy didn't do too much to score a goal on their own. From what I've seen (only the 2nd half), they preferred to defend their goal until Godin scored and this is too less to advance.
 
Italy would've been through with a draw, so naturally they was just waiting for Uruguay to push men forward so they could get some counters.

The ref completely destroyed Italy in this match, I wish Uruguay the worst of luck the rest of the tournament (because of Suarez). The further they go, the bigger the scandal. If Suarez isn't sent home, then FIFA can burn in the molten seas of hell.

Suarez deserves a ban for this and the next world cup.
I hoped that Uruguay would go through, but not this way.

And if Fifa won't establish professional referee after this world cup they should stop with international tournaments...
 
Italy were too negative imo. And their loss has far more to do with Marchisio's idiocy than Suarez.

I expect to hear that FIFA have no mechanism in place to ban a player from video evidence in a World Cup. So Suarez will keep playing.

I mean, he bit someone, and then has literally gone down with injured teeth. I just...I can't...I...

If a player that repeatedly bites opponents isn't banned from professional football, there is something wrong with the world. Anyone who enters the pitch on the opposite side of Suarez knows they could potentially be bitten by this maniac and a human bite is among the most dangerous there is in terms of nasty infections.
 
this world cup is cursed by the refs (bosnia, croatia, two mexico's regualr goals against cameroon, now italy red card).

world cup tournaments should have only european refs and only few well proven "other countries" refs.

this is unbearable.
