True that. But you're playing very poorly, although Rooney had two great chances. The spark of the Italy game isn't there. Hodgson seemed that he didn't want to play that counter, fast game. So why he didn't put another true midfielder(Milner, Barkley, Whilshere)? The team needed a more thinking, better passing presence on the midfield, IMO.

Give 'im a break. The guy is 36 ffs, he looked knackered about 15 minutes after he came up, I'm surprised he was able to finish the game tbh.

Jsus Rooney, maybe next time the FA should start some kind of contract negotiations with him at the start of the WC, that might get him to play...it usually works.

The ref has been poor imo, half the time Uruguay have been fouling england players and falling and they get a freekick.

The liverpool players have been crap aswell though.....well except Luis.

England's defence can't seem to handle diagonal crosses between the 2 CBs.... similar to how Balotelli scored. Maybe Cahill and Jagielka are just average CBs.

He's been your best player. Had a few great chances. He's been unlucky. But that again English fans always critizing Rooney for no bloody reason.

You are the guy who does not agree with the more balant penalty calls, always contest the ref calling some fouls, don't think that Godín's yellow for a deliberate handball is justified and then you say that Welbeck should've seen a red card for a going for a ball? He did what he suppose to do there, the outcome was inevitable. Is football. Shit happens.

I dont tend to be a rooney basher as I usually think the whole team is crap. But there was a moment earlier when he received a pass from sterling who moved forward in to acres of space as was calling for the ball and instead of playing it simple and creating a dangerous attack he hit it long and wide and lost possesion.


And he finally scores as i am typing this hahaha. He's brilliant! :P

He's a striker. Is normal that in some situation he goes for goal when he should pass it.

Good movement on the goal btw. :P

So, knobs first into a tackle = yellow card. Nothing controversial about it. Getting the ball on your hand from 1 meter is however more questionable.
