the tactic isnt the problem. its like saying counter attacking is dated. no. lot of tired legs, minds out there without passion. they wont win their last game aswell like this

This. Both Iniesta and Silva weren't given the ball quick enough. Each time they got the ball they were already surrounded by 2/3 defenders.

Doesn't help either when your GK has lost his head.

Sad way to see arguably the greatest international team of all time come to an end.

The team played the entirety of the match very very slow. Especially against a high motor team like Chile, I cannot go anywhere like that.

In September we will see a lot of new faces, the ones that been dominating the under 21, and Spain with the same possession football will be a top contender. Maybe not so dominant, Xavi is irreplaceable, but they will be very good. A team that leaves, for a reason or another, Llorente, Negredo, Jesus Navas, Isco, Jesé, Thiago Alcantâra, Diego Lopes, among many others, out of the squad and still is have the best depth of the all teams in the WC, they will be fine for sure. Playing the Spanish brand of football.
 
I read some comentaries here, but I don't understand who says Spain are over the rest of the world, spanish people? No...

That are simple, the haters are everywhere and all Spain team bate on WC or Euro are suffered.

I like the football, but YOU ALL not have respect to the others, this is only a game, I say.

Good luck for the rest of national teams on World Cup. ;)

Because we are sick and tired about spain winning all, and winning with that tick-taka boring tactics...
Enjoy the 2 Europe Cups and the World cup from 2010 please.
 
Don't believe this is the end of Spain. Some players perhaps (Xavi, Alonso, Casillas) but the players they have coming through are scary. Jesé, Isco, Deulofeu, Thiago, De Gea, Morata etc.

Good riddance, I was getting sick to death of the lifeless Tiki-Taka and the boring endless passing.

Their domination of international football went on for a lot longer than it should have.

Spot on Damjan. Although I doubt Spain will dominate as they have lately anytime soon, Spain will still be capable of winning major tournaments.

@any Spaniaards in the forum; Be proud of what your team has accomplished in the past and prepare for a future that looks bright. There is no shame in losing against two great football teams.

I'm proud of my national team, they wons 2 Euro and 1 World Cup in 6 years, that are alot of time on the high level. That national team need a changue, that happened to my team Barcelona too, same bored game, passing and passing and no shooting. For lucky we have very nice young players for the future: Isco, Jesé, Deulofeu, Thiago, Koke, and much more. :BYE:

Now we can safely say that this WC is over the top exciting and unpredictable! I initially was furious of the refereeing but the offensive and intensive football being played is nothing short of fantastic. This is why football is the biggest sport on earth, this is why we love football.

I enjoy this so much and my national team isn't even present.
 
Sad to see the likes of Casillas, Xavi and Alonso exit through the back door. They deserved more.
I Guess this is the end for this generation. They've won it all on and on, I'm not really sure the next generation can follow through such high standards.
 
This WC has been the biggest Spanish massacre since Resident Evil 4

PS. Croatia-Cameroon about to start. A tie today pretty much qualifies Brazil & Mexico

May it be, that M'Bia is close to a red card every match? This is the third in a month (friendly vs. us and the two WC games) and in every game he could've been sent off easily.
 
I hope for Cameroon here. Africa needs it. I hope Mexico and Cameroon advances from this group.

The Cameroon defensive routiny is so bad. They give so much space, despite playing so deep in their own half. They don't pressure at all.

M'bia as right back is laughable. Complete lack of defensive awareness on the goal

Boring game so far , great assist by Perisic and great run/finish by Olic, hope Croatia doesn't drop points here.
