Also, goodluck to our brothers Argentina, hope this will be a great WC final !!! 🇪🇸

If anything, it's making me angrier.

Look what happens when we play positive football. Look what could have been if France beat Spain, and we hadn't (I have to use the phrase again) shat the bed against Argentina from a winning position. (And it's not even our "first XI".)

Instead, it's a meaningless play-off.

I'm just glad Tuchel got booed when he appeared on the jumbo-vision.
Thought the same thing watching, it felt bittersweet, like redemption and finishing on a highnote but also what could've been if we let the chains off.

Is it soley Tuchel's fault against Argentina or is it truly a mentality thing where English players by their nature just aren't confident or couragous enough under pressure of semi's and finals?

After Wednesday I was convinced we just need to be honest with ourselves and our team is decent but just isn't good enough to go all the way at present, however I do agree the strategy was truly sabotaged after the Gordon goal and there was no foresight and no balance, and no confidence in the squad and bench he hand picked, was bizzare.

Argentina getting away cardless again like they did Vs England for 40 minutes.
They should have been booked at least twice by now.

Come on, who doesn't like to see Shakira shaking her booty

Was it for back-chat more than the foul? If so, that's incredibly stupid.

It would be peak Argentina to somehow shitfest a winner having done nothing for 90 minutes.
I dunno but they should be down to 9 men from that foul for the Spain free kick in the last min. He was already booked and it was 100% another booking.
Yeah I wouldn't put it past them to be continued to get battered and then somehow mange to record a single shot at goal and it goes in. If there was ever a team that deserved to win a match in football then Spain absolutely deserve to win this match. Something like 17 shots from Spain and 0 for Argentina. It's quite incredible actually

I completely agree that, subjectively at least, they deserve nothing from the final having made no attempt to win it.

But I'm quite analytically minded, if one team cannot score with 20+ shots but the other manage to score with just one, then they deserve their win. I know that's not a view in line with beautiful game, but you can't batter the opposition's goal and not take your chances when they take theirs.

Btw, that's a shocking call to rule out that goal.

Anybody outside of Argentina think that Spain goal should have been disallowed? In a final, for VAR not to get involved in that is absolutely shocking.
