This is what I'm trying to achieve, albeit in a very limited way (I'd be OK with kits only).
First, license all the 32 finalists (and I only miss Honduras GK).
Then, apply some fixes (such as Uruguay having black numbers and names on their home jerseys instead of red, Spain away having navy socks and yellow typing instead of red).
Once that is done, add licensed GK kits to the teams that have 2010 home and away but no GK (such as Hungary, Ukraine, Austria...)
Optionally, while I'm at it, I'd also love to do the same for 2008 sets (adding 2008 GKs to teams that only had home and away "qualifiers" sets)
This would "allow" me to release a first version of the mod (for Xbox 360, but I think it will easily be adaptable also to PS3).
Then, and this is the hardest part, I'd love to slowli licence also all the other teams in the game. This is going to be hard because:
- I still don't have a way to edit the kit hotspots so many teams would end up with badges/numbers in the wrong position
- The 2010 World Cup UV map for kits is a mess (so drawing them on a flat surface like a .PSD file would take a lot of patience and a lot of trial-and-error)
I tried to import the FIFA 14 body models to the game, converting them via FIFA Converter, but... Well... Something went wrong there. The UV map for shirts changed (I could see that it became the one of FIFA 14) but arms/legs/neck and heads of the players were all over the place.
So, for the moment I'm going to stick with the original 2010 World Cup models.
Meanwhile, enjoy some kits!
