Don`t know why but from all videos I saw on net I am not really impressed from the gameplay. Looks same like Fifa 18 to me. Same player movement, somehow when player recieve the ball something strange happens with the anmation, this pes has nailed 100%, not to talk about game physics, especially ball physic which is not good, ball stops while moving. Maybe people who played beta feel it differently becouse they actually played the game and we saw these videos but idk. To be fair this year have more licences than ever so that will be trigger for most people to buy it.

you got any links to beta gp videos at hand for me?! :)

Hey guys noob question for a first time entrant to this sectuse of the forum. I just wanted to know your opinions as tonwherto sliders really can make the out of the box gameplay (which Im not a fan of) enjoyable to play in career mode and whether I'd get a good few seasons out of the game? I guess the other question is in general how is the AI in FIFA? Last I remember it was pretty samey no matter who you played against? I am not buying Pro Evo due to the serie B debacle and would really like your opinions as to whether it would really be worth trying with FIFA, a game that I generally don't like gameplay wise?

SLIDERS make a huge difference to the gameplay and the effects can really be felt. You can definitely find a setting that you will enjoy playing with. As you probably know there are sliders for both you and the CPU so you can the feel just right whilst getting rid of any CPU annoyances you have.

What is super handy is the fact you can adjust the sliders during a match, so you go about tweaking them as you wish.

The best thing the sliders does for me is increase number of injuries and their severities. I love playing through a season and finding I lose key players or positions I have no depth in.

just search across youtube, there are many of them, even carrer mode.

@robbieryan from my perspective if you are pes player it`s very difficult to switch to fifa. I boycott pes 16 and 18 becouse of some things that I didn`t like from the gameplay (backheels, shooting etc.). fifa does some things good, shooting for example but other stuff is difficult to like if you are pes player. sliders wise, yes they can made difference but keep in mind that once you change one slider you also change other stuff from the gameplay and there are lot of sliders. from my experience only marking and positioning sliders are good to change, other stuff was from the ea and how they want game to be played. this year they promote team tactics and I don`t know how will that look at the end but even if it is great, the flow of the game is fifa-ish. wait for the demo and try it, that was best thing you can do. all this is from my experince :)

@robbieryan I've had a career going for a while now - see the FIFA 18 and video threads - using sliders. Week to week I see a big variation in scores, and a little variation in play. I'm at the point where, as long as 19 isn't a worse game, I'm happy playing the career mode (tactics are important as of 19, according to the beta guys - so you can forgive floaty, slightly strange feeling players at first when you have a level of depth to gameplay, including attributes that matter).

ive always been a pes man but i tried fifa 18 last year because i was sick of the shite konami were dishing out (needing 3 months to fix everything) tweaking the sliders i ended up with pes gameplay on fifa and have had a happy year of gaming with all the bells and whistles included

I hear they've made the Beta faster. This seems to have happened every year for the last few years. Surely EA has got the message by now, that there are two camps — the simulation crowd and the arcade crowd. Neither will be happy with the other style of gameplay. Why can't they just give us the option when the game loads up? Sliders can only do so much.

this is where I am

I am happy to play fifa 19 career with sliders, all the official stadium and the experience as i know i wont get bored.

we need the game to be difficult though because if I am winning 2-0 and 3-0 as west brom every game again, I wont be happy.

Don't believe everything you hear.

what cam settings are you using

played some online seasons last night and i played someone who had man utd and they had their new kit, has this been updated because as soon as i saw this i ended the game and looked to see if i could use this new kit in career modebut it doesn't seem to be there, but i defo saw it.

They have added ultimate difficulty to the career mode this year, if you can win every game on that you must be amazing at the game! After that I suppose you can adjust slider to make it more difficult? Or play on manual etc?

Agree. I hope the new difficulty is a challange. Legandary is too easy in career mode.

I must be terrible at 18, I got up to 5th with Bolton in the Championship but after a tough run of games against the other top teams, I've slid to 10th...

What team(s) do you play with? Is the issue that playing with big clubs (and brilliant teams) is too easy?

Yep! After a time I had Real Madrid and my team was 90 on average. Won every game at least 3-0 without any effort.
In FIFA 19 I want to start with a small team in league one and climb up to a Premier League side like Watford.

Yes hoping it will be harder on ultimate

I deleted BETA because it was annoying me too much game speed

sliders will sort that

WOAH everybody's loving Bielsa now @Marching On Together

Feet firmly on the ground, great start, but history states his teams always start well before collapsing. That combined with the fact my beloved always have a habit of letting me down!!

That being said my hopes are pinned on him doing the job this year, you cant believe how much I long for Elland Road to be in the game!! :P

Have they changed that?
Last year and every other year when promoted/relegated you'd still have your old league badge.
Good news if so.

Bet they won't change the everlasting contract in player career,or the right sets of rules regarding suspensions though.
That's been my biggest issue with FIFA

Yes, seen this confirmed in many videos on YouTube. Also confirmed that should you win the PL you will be given the champions badge the following year.

Might I recommend Tranmere? We've got a stadium that wouldn't look out of place in the Premier League... :D

I liked the speed of the game i just didn't like certain aspects of it but its a shame if EA have totally caved in to a speed ping pong fest rather than middle ground.heres 2 more posts from the forums with two people wrestling with thier opinions

"-This game was waaaaay better before the patch.

Now it just feels like fifa 18 again.

Passing is now to easy again.

Every player is usain bolt.

THE GAME SHOULD BE SLOWER AND MORE CHALLENGING TO UNLOCK DEFENCES AND CREATE SPACE.

i read on someone’s post that the gameplay was more like pro evo on 1st day of release, i might give it a try.

if this super turbo charged buuuuullshiiiiit is what was we can expect then fuuuuuck this game

if some one from ea does actual read these comments please on offical realse make the gameplay like it was first few days."

"-Eh? Why would they go back to pre-patch? There were many people including myself that hated it. Fun and enjoyment is the most important aspects.

I like to come home and bash though my 40 WL games with end to end high energy games. If it had to sit through 12 hours of tight stuffy gameplay with super ai assisted defending I wouldn't make it past 2 games."

The 2nd person here obviously loves his after work /school ping pong, goal then dab gameplay

absolute bullshit post

What I really like is how positioning in FIFA is more crowded in certain areas. If they could reduce the driven passes a bit, it would be ideal. FIFA 18 also suffered an increase in game speed unfortunately. However, the pass speed value ties everything together to make it smooth again. Here is gameplay with 30 pass speed and the operation sports sliders of course:
