At the FIFA 19 event, what I've seen/experienced so far;

DM holding
Corner animation
Straight red for tackle
Defensive shape is good
Set Piece new animations for corners, in the tactics you can choose how many men to send forward for corners and free kicks.
Skills by computer, seen Sanchez and Cudrado do some nice moves
Slower/heavier

You are an angel. Thank you.

Any noticeable difference in playing the AI other than the fact that they do skills now? Any big differences between one team and the next?

Yes and no, I set up Athletico to drop deep when I was playing against them, and they did. I also told them to play long ball and they didn't.

Edit: I didn't alter the individual player instructions for them though.

There's a good physicality in the game, I play 16 mostly and it feels quite similar to that with a bit more polish. Lots of new faces as well.

With the tactics you get the four game scenarios and you can set everything you want within them, formation, tactic sliders and player instructions. When you press left/right on the d pad I guess that activates them. The d-pad up and down button instructions have also changed.

Goal kicks are still rubbish, CB's don't split or anything like that.

Also I have an issue with the player switching, feels off for some reason, the grey arrow showing who's the next player made things worse.

Hello, thank you for all the informations about fifa19.

Can you tell us something about ball physics ? How does it feel ? How passing and shooting feels ? Can you feel that the game is even more unpredictable because of more "free" ball or it's better physics ?

Thank you in advance, Rafael.

Few more observations

ST hold up play, can actually use them with back to goal
Fatigue? Stamina bar definitely shows a decrease, don't think it mate much difference though, however I played City and they seemed not to press as much 2nd half. They did however play a very noticeable high press from minute one, if anything the press was unrealistic.
Slow on normal speed
Players weight pronounced
Can tell difference between players, much more like Pro used to feel in the glory days.
I guess a lot will depend on if the CPU uses the different styles (Balanced, Attack etc) in game, cause the tactical changes are linked to that, if they don't they'll only play to what the Balanced tactic is set up to.

Still can't see the opposition's line up (as far as I can remember).

I was telling one of the staff I was there to see if the CPU was fixed/ played differently/tactics worked etc, and he responded by telling me to give it to a 5 star player and do some tricks/telling me it was an early build and not having a clue what I was talking about.

Some people saw me change the settings to manual/semi and were commenting about how hard it is on manual. Saw someone pick Juve only to change when he realised Ronaldo wasn't in the team. Most people were playing with Man City, they didn't even look at the tactics, just did some subs and changed to an attacking formation.
There are some guys there who said they just play Pro Clubs and they were moaning that the mode never gets amended cause there's no money in it for EA.
I saw a kid not realise he'd score from 35 yards cause he looked down to scratch his leg and just happened to smash the shoot button, in the other room people were playing for a prize fund using that same assistance level.

The passing, shooting and ball in general feel good. Still does that annoying thing where you (on manual) pass behind the player though. There are some good 50/50 challenges, I saw players get tackled but cause they were solid the ball stayed at their feet instead of passing through their body (think Dembele). Some good contextual stuff, saw Alli nutmeg someone just because.
All the games I played or watched were low scoring with a lot going to penalties.
Skills felt easier to pull off but not in a bad way, usually I struggle with a stepover but it felt more natural on 19.

Any questions I'll try answer.

Any progress for player models? From videos they look same to me (which i don't like). Thanks.

Looked fine to me, but like I say I'm playing 16. I've got 17 & 18 but didn't enjoy them, so if they're the same as those I wouldn't know, but nobody stood out as grotesque or anything.

One thing I did think is that I couldn't really see much difference playing on the PS4 Pro. Nothing to justify (me) buying a new console, think my PC version looks better. Also faces after scoring a goal looked strange in the cut scene, but looked fine on normal cut scenes, I think maybe they were trying to smile or something.

Is the game more like Fifa 16?

How does scoring a goal feel? Similar to scoring a goal in PES 4/5/6?

Thanks fernadez =)

Does it have the problem of FIFA 16 where every team gets 95% passing completion?

Felt satisfying enough, I've never felt the same way scoring a goal as I have on those older games, not sure how much of that is the game and how much is me getting older, but I felt something when I scored, there have been recent games of FIFA and Pro where I've felt nothing.

Sure I saw 80's, and no game felt like the CPU pass competition was too high, talking about passing I saw Ederson start an attack with a long throw which was impressive.

Was watchingthe world cup today, The champion scored 3 kick off goals and 2 corner bug goals and had a passing accuracy of 80 or something....So tedious.

After the 2nd patch they will revert it to FIFA 15 or something awful, With all the new features disappearing..Happened for 3 years running lolz

i find the grey arrow showing who's the next player, distracting. hope it can be turned off.

One other thing I noticed is that the tactic tab on the formation screen has been removed. I guess they feel there's no need for it anymore, but I think they should have kept it.

Since few posts ago there was that post about that guy saying Fifa 19 is a completely new game, do you feel it's like a completely new game or more like usual Fifa with some improvements?

Interesting gameplay I posted there. I see potential but also still plays like basketball

I was waiting for gameplay yesterday - then they show us that four-player shite so I immediately switched off.

I feel like against the AI it could be a decent step forward. But when you've got four human players, it's going to turn to shit isn't it.

hows fifa 19 shaping up for us old school offline players, i really enjoyed fifa 18 for 6 months

Considering that one of FIFA 19's biggest "new" features is an overhauled tactical system, I think us offline players have to be excited - or at least encouraged. The only reason I'm not giddy with the news is EA's history of implementing new features just shy of their potential.

My biggest concern is that we've yet to hear about any improvements to the defensive side of the game. In FIFA 18, it's rare that I score fewer than 3 goals in my CM playing on Legendary, and in my most recent CM, I took a team from the third division and won the Premiere League with them in 3 seasons, annihilating the league with players rated mid to low 70s. I've enjoyed FIFA 18 but it's wickedly imbalanced.

So if the defending - and especially the AI - aren't improved, adding tactical variety won't count for shite. Why would I bother with tactics when I know that on default I can just outscore the opposition?

I am excited for the 50-50 changes and it should cut down a lot on the frustrations with tackling and the ball going right back to the attacker. Hopefully it'll mean teammates are less prone to stand around ballwatching too. And I did message with a dev last week about my concern, and his response was just to hold tight, that more was still to come.

So I'm optimistic, but as usual I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey @fernadez
Thanks for all the info you provided.
One question, do you agree with the claim about FIFA 19 being a whole new game in terms of gameplay?. Not FIFA 17.2 or FIFA 18.2? (don't know if you can understand Spanish but, see below).
