FIFA 17 News & Discussion Thread

I've played every single FIFA since 07. I dislike FIFA 19 & 20, but I find them way more playable than any FIFA that came out after that. I was wondering if, with some tweaks, we could somehow make them more similar to FIFA 17 or 18. As we're unable to fully mod FIFAs 17/18 and (to my liking) FIFA 16 is too old, I think FIFA 19/20 will end up being my "go-to" FIFA for recreating the 05/06 season.

To me FIFA 19 is the last playable FIFA.
And by playable I mean it's playable, nothing more than that, CPU just goes fw no sideways build up to exploit you, just forward constantly.
I enjoyed a bit of FIFA 20, quite a lot actually but since it's the first 1v1 it gets quite boring after a while to.
For me those two games doesn't even come close to FIFA 17-18 at all.
You can mod the ahit out of them but if the OG product is bad it will only put a bandais on a big wound.
My personal opinion obviously, but sticking to it

I'd say that my favorite FIFAs (personal Golden Era) are 15-19!
To me these FIFAs, while all very different from each other, capture the game in a really nice balance between fun factor and realism.
Haven't played a long Career in 18, but I can honestly say that I've enjoyed 15, 16, 17, and 19 a great deal.
Also I think sliders make a good difference in all of these editions.
Operation Sports sliders are great IMO, and can also be tweaked for personal enjoyment.

I made an 06 Squad file for FIFA 18 converted from FIFA 16. It works fairly well but some of the faces are messed up. I spent some time trying to convert to FIFA 17 but even fewer actual faces are present. The players and commentary call names are all there, so it’s something.
