FIFA 17 News & Discussion Thread

Fifa 17 came out in 2016 when there was no frosty tool available. When I remember right the first Frosty Editor came out in 2017 close to the release for FIFA 18. That´s the easy explanation why really less mods for the game are available. And with the new FIFA 18 close to release the modders focused on the new FIFA game. So FIFA 17 gets abandonend quick.
I agree with you, by default the gameplay is one of the best if not the best from all frostbite gp´s. Search at fifainfinity and you find a hand full of mods. Idk which download links are still available. So you need to check.
I checked I downloaded a few from the working links , I checked here and also some other forums but the mods are so so few and they're not really recent, I saw also while searching here and there people saying that's impossible to add new faces in the game ( I mostly mean replacing the generic ones) I found a fifa19 face pack mod which updates some faces for players whol already have , my question is it's hard or really not possible to add content like boots, balls, and faces in that game? If it's impossible I'll enjoy what I already have but if it's possible I'm willing to learn how.

NOT POSSIBLE!

FIFA 19 is the first frostbite FIFA Game where you can replace generic faces with custom face mods. It´s possible because there is a new "Feature/column" inside the Players Table in the DB called "headassetid". This column is not available in FIFA 17 and FIFA 18. With that column in the DB you can change the face of a generic Player and replace it with a custom face mod by changing the ID to the made custom Face mod.
So no, you can´t replace any generic head/Face in FIFA 17.
That said, other Graphics related stuff like kits, boots, balls can be access via Frosty Editor and can be replaced with new ones from new season a.e. But not "ADD". Only replacing the existing graphics is possible. Just one by one. So much to do. Btw, from what I know there is never made an up to date Squad or DB, if you already searched at least for a fresh squad.
But of course it´s makable except the Faces. So you have to deal with the generic Faces.
 
Ok I get it , so the procedure of replacing existing boots , balls , kits are more or less the same as the later games like Fc24, 25 with the frosty editor?

Guys, after struggling for a long, long time, I was finally able to find a solution!

Get Ready for FIFA 17: a Millossobek Odyssey. 😅
I wanted to play with FIP patch 3.0 (which has the team I want to play my custom Cup with), and also created a "no fatigue" mod which @DevPlays and @Byronic suggested with his step-by-step directions!
But here was the problem, which was splitting me hairs:
The latest version of the Frosty Mod Manager loaded up the "no fatigue" mod , but didn't load the FIP patch!
And an older version of the Manager loaded up the FIP patch, but didn't load the "no fatigue" mod! 😡
After much struggling, I followed @Chris Davies' suggestion of creating a Cheat Engine table using an Ini Converter, which created the same effect.
At first it didn't work (damn converter!), but then I had to manually change some values inside of Cheat Engine, saved changes, and voila..
I loaded up FIP 3.0 with the old Mod Manager, then applied the Cheat Engine Table (whose values I changed inside CE) and it worked.
It was a long, long, painful process, but one where I can (hopefully) truly say that I was able to get around.
Man, that was tough. :LMAO:but worth it :TU:

Correct! If you already have experience with FC Frosty Editor than this helps you a lot. The old Editors have not the editing range of the new ones. A.e. the nice bulk export and import function of the new tools. Anyway, I guess you know now what you can do with FIFA 17. :-)

Well im just a rookie in terms of modding but I successfully put some balls on Fc24 Fc25 , the problem that I experience now on fifa17 is when i import the mesh file of the ball I want to add it crashes when I open the game but when I import only the textures the ball is showing like that in the game as you see in the picture but it's playable and it's not crashing ( the ball I want to add is the Nike aerow total90), so the question is we can't import mesh files ?1000003765.jpg

Haha Mate, hold on. You can´t mix and throw any Games Textures inside every FIFA or FC Game which are not by 3 on the tree. 😆
The Games have different Textures and assets and of course different meshes. Without a proper conversion not every texture will work in other FIFA´s. I assume you have taken the ball textures from?? FC Game?? You should start watching Frosty Editor Video Tutorials, Mate. Otherwise you always run against a wall when you think you can easily put everything together and it will work by magic in different Games. I am no mesh expert but the reason why the game crash is 100% because the mesh needs conversion.
Don´t get me wrong, but this is not a Frosty Tutorial thread, so we can´t handle your first steps with Frosty further. Check YT, it´s full of good Tuts for Frosty editing. If you still have a question PM me and I try to help you with the things I know. But there are better skilled People around when you wanna have support about mesh conversion and stuff. I leave you in PM soon a link or 2 from tools which would help you when you are willing to do things by your own.
