The game feels much tighter and more open than Fifa 09. So far so good, but the only the only downer is that after 2 games I've had a terrible keeper error in each (one spillage and Buffon punching into his own net). Also the ball, still seems a little too much on the floaty side but overall this is a clear step up from last year.

Started the download off at half 6 (By finding the demo via search engine in the PSN store) It finished downloading 10 minutes later and I've been playing it since.

The comment I think Chris made about how it's like PES is spot on, where you see nothing new at first and then the more you play the more things appear. In my first game I didn't really notice anything but in my second things started to click.

The best addition by FAR is how you no longer get pushed off the ball and 'auto tackled' when you're jogging or in close control. You can now actually take men on knowing that if they bump into you the ball won't magnetise over to them in some stupid pass the parcel style pass around.

I've found myself in the box loads now not feeling the pressure and panic to quickly kick the ball away via shooting or passing. Now you can play it like PES used to be and just side step past the defender and use your body to shield the ball and move around.

That change for me has made the biggest impact. Hopefully the manager mode improvements will blow me away as well because I'd hate to have this great footie game and then find I have nothing to actually do with it in the game other than online and friendlies.

Man, the new close controls are truly something to behold when utilized right. I absolutely LOVE how it allows you to weave your way past a defender by applying controlled touches to the ball and it also showcases the 360degree dribbling feature really well!! Other stuff like players curving their runs is an yet another example of how untethered or free the ball is in this game (shown below is Anelka curving slightly out after his first touch, followed by a clip of me using Ibrahimovic to maintain possession past three defenders before tucking the ball inside the near post)

that ibra move is amazing, did u just hold LT or LT+RT?

Has to be a disc. Single layer, DVD+R works best but DVD-R will work as well, with awful loading times.

Both triggers...I also noticed that the player is more likely to use the same/dominant foot when he's dribbling this way (as he should in confined situations like this)

Guys, you have to realise that Buffon and Cech have stupidly low ratings (probably will be fixed). This could be why the are positioning themselves badly (lobs) or getting beaten from range.

It's not released in the US until the 17th of September.

If you want it earlier than then you have to make a UK account - Google for instructions on how to do this.

So Tranmere's goalkeeper is going to keep making ridiculous errors that a kid wouldn't make (some of the crosses I've seen go in, in some of these videos, have been hit soft as much and it's as if the keeper has gone blind)? I don't think so.

Besides at least one of the goalkeepers in the game has a decent rating anyway, the Marseille goalkeeper. Have we seen a video of him making the same mistakes? Proof will be in that if it exists.

But Tranmere's keeper would struggle to contain the likes of Drogba and Ribery's shots, right?

I do think they've made distance goals a bit too frequent but the ballsed up keeper stats don't help us think that it could be stat related or if the keepers need tweaking more.

Yes but not a cross next to his face, going at the speed of a granny pushing a shopping trolley around Asda!

There's a few slightly dodgy moments that you can put down to the keeper being in a poor position - I've only experienced these so far - but there are some that the likes of Tim have recorded where the ball is basically passed straight to him and he reacts like he literally can't see anything, like he's got a blindfold on and he has to guess where the ball is.

I haven't had anything like that yet but I can see from the videos going up that it does happen and it shouldn't happen as stupidly as that.

about buffon at 66 ovr,
did any of u check his individual atributes(i forgot to do that)??
maybe its just a glich on the OVR gk logic position in the lineup screen?

Buffon and Cech have 1/99 for GK Positioning.

It's a blatant bug that even hugely affects their overall rating but was still released with the demo.
