FC Barcelona Thread

Bullshit. i bet you was the first one to fully agree on diaby being sent off when he pushed barton against newcastle a few weeks ago. a little push and got sent off. you agree with that? if you agree with that then your a bloody hipocrite. having your hands down someones throat is worse then a slight push on a player.

Players have been sent off for far less contact then that. End of the day. if i was to grab you by the throat, you can easily charge me with assault. simple as that. assaulting a player onfield is not part of the game. you can get done by assault by the police mate so i expect red cards to be handed out for such a thing during the game too.

By your definition it seems someone has to have a bruise, broken nose etc in order for it to be justified as an assault. dont know what fucking world you live in mate.

I bet I wasn't the first to agree about Diaby being sent off so stick your hypocrit comment where the sun doesn't shine!

If somebody grabbed me by the throat I'd stick one on them! Stop being such a whinger. Full of babies in here. Seriously, I'm not a hard knock type of bloke at all (and I'm pretty placid in all honesty) but jeez, stop going overboard with all the assault bullshit. The world I live in is obviously a touch me and I'll sue you one according to you. Bloody baby. Grow a pair Jonney boy me old mate.

does that constitute automatic entry? 1 goal score by Arsenal they would of gone through. That could of been an injustice yeah ,but the fact Barca didn`t receive 1 yellow is a lil` weird . I`m very bias and so I admit what everyone can see , just like some views in here are plain to see. Drekkard is a fan and a die-hard one he is no neutral. He like Arsenal a lot and shows respect to them ,but You can not support 2 clubs w/o denying one.

Barca went through and played better in both legs. Arsenal scored both gol near the end of the match and that was important . Nobody could predict when a team has no choice, but throw the kitchen sink and at 1-1 . The game could of went mental instead more of the same from start to finish.

It is surprising no yellows were shown to them as touching somebody gets one nowadays. I don't think anything really that bad went on to be honest. van Perise running into Alvez wasn't exactly a really hard challenge now was it? Too many players go down way to to easy. Sickens me.

You say 1 goal score by Arsenal and they would have gone through. Another goal by Barca and they wouldn't have. It's all irrelevant.

Ok, it's time to reveal my true identity.

Hi, I'm Patrick Jane. Nice to meet you. :BYE:

Im not sure what post you are referring too, sorry ...Maybe the yank word Die-hard was offensive. It`s not really to me it`s a fan who is devoted to the club as you are a season ticket holder n watch the reserves n such.

You dont like me as much as I like you and I get it! It`s part of my world

i agree the incident which led to rvp's first yellow was complete farce imo. yes rvp reacted a bit but alves wtf he dived and acted like a bitch.

same has messi when he tried to win a penalty in the first half. small touch of legs and the guy falls on the floor like his bene shot. minimal contact.

i know for a fact that when me and my mates play on saturdays amongst us we dont go down like girls. infact. we hardly go down unless it was hard fair tackle. your right. these players diving like pussys have become a joke. all of them are guilty for it. not just barcelona. arsenal too, united, chelsea, everyone.

bunch of girls as you say. i however dont agree with holding someone on the kneck though. i stil think that deserves a red. its assualt!

nah , messi is nothing like that. He stays on his feet from what I see him do he never takes that route . You can see him run through a group of defenders and tries not to fall even when he`s kicked about. Messi doesn`t need to dive

I've always tried to be very fair in my posts and if you think I'm being biased by colours, then you either haven't read any of my posts or you didn't even try.

I think sometimes your natural born hatred against Barcelona gets in your eyes!

Yeah, maybe Crynaldo but not Messi.

Did anyone come across this video? I love the emotion.

YouTube - El Show de Puyol y Piqué en el Palco

That level of passion and complicity can only be achieved when you're raised at your own club and you have a natural bond with it. It can be embarrasing in terms of protocol, but I just love players that still feel the passion for the sport/club.

Sometimes (when a friend tells me to) I seat there in the stadium, that's just at the pitch level, very near to the bench. It's great to be there, you can feel football near and see the bench reactions and the football the same way the players do. And there's always some player or assistant/coach nearby, as in this clip.

Beboq, drekkard is a very fair fan.
About the diving and Messi: you will never hear me saying that Messi never dives, but generally he is a very fair player. I know he once scored a "hand of god goal", but compare him to most offensive players and he is a model a fairness.

Forget about the CL, concentrate on the league...most barcelona fans will wish that Arsenal would winn the premier league since they play the same sort of football as Barcelona...

What makes Arsenal attractive IMO is als otheir weak point: they always want to win beautifully, sometimes you must be able to win ugly. That is why i still consider it more likely that Man Ud will win the premier league...Ferguson has learnt them to win lost matches ugly...Arsenal simply can't do that. Their players just don't have a killer mentality and act suïcidal (Van Persie against Barca is a very good example, if i was an Arsenal fan i would be furious about Van Persie, he acted like a stupid ass hole)

Still yet to come but I believe we can take it in both Copa and CL. It's "easier" (with big commas) to beat them at cup competitions.

YoungGun_UK, well, the FFF realised the guy was joking. Simply as that. The comittee said FFF “could not accept such behaviour”.

I love Barca especially when pepe said he is loaded with players like Jack in the reserves ! I wish he didn`t share that publicly . Arsenal needs to have a great relationship with Barca its vital. Whether you like it or not we our Brothers ! :BOP: look at our players that went there. ebony n ivory mate (you wreck him , we build them)

It will be difficult to stablish a great relationship between fans of both clubs if we keep running through each other in the CL every year. Personally I love Arsenal, only Arsenal fans have been lately very aggressive with Barcelona (mainly due to Cesc) and sometimes things are pushed too far.

Pep Guardiola is one of the nicest people you can get in his position, just like Rijkaard was. I think pure envy is what drives a lot of people to criticize him.

very fair fan, eh? c'mon, noone is allowed to criticize any Barça member, noone but trolls and the jealous guys doesn't do that to you anyway. why the hell would any person envy Guardiola? I just laugh at it.

messi is perfect, ronaldo and mou are always shit overrated douchebags. this is called fairness, no?

you're just a biased fan, drekkard, who sometimes hides it and sometimes can't even manage to do it even while your fav team is ruling the whole football world.

@ airjoca

no, this wasn't the point. it is about how a fan keeps talking about the same offensive things everywhere (well, especially in RM thread) but also he's being called as if 'very fair'. after those he expects noone to think different than him or react to those and when someone criticize any Barça member not even similarly the way he does on RM players, he ends up with being tagged as an envious troll or a clown. I'm sure he would even defend Busquets forever about the dive, if anyone had shouted about the blessed Barça player as being a diver as a similar thing that he does kind of them in RM thread.

btw, I'm Turkish and there's many Turkish footballers who I don't like at all, too. what's the matter with the nationality? :S

Agree with The_Special_One.

About Arsenal fans, I think there have been certain reports from several Barcelona players in the summer about Fabregas and a recent one from Pep about Wilshere that I thought were a bit offensive towards Arsenal. Barcelona is certainly the best team in the world right now but let us keep our feet on the ground.

You don't read my posts at all or you don't try to understand them, mate.

I agree with the comments about Fabregas being unfortunate, and it's one of the main reasons why some Arsenal fans are beligerant (and may reasonably be in this case).

But I don't agree with that about Wilshere. What I heard (not read in a newspaper, but heard in the TV) is he said we have lots of potential good players as him in the youth team. And that's true, we have the Alcantara brothers and Oriol Romeu going to play in the first team very soon. That's what I understood and I don't think it's such a bad statement, in my oppinion, because show the total faith we have in the youth team, as Arsenal does. So, if anything, it only shows how good is the treatment to young players that both clubs have been doing in the last 10 years or so.

I don't know if it's me who is understanding badly Pep's word, then.

Kanouté, i don't agree with your assessment of drekkard, he is one of the most fair fans on this forum. I also ask myself if you understand drekkard posts...

About the Wilshere/Guardiola thing.

IMO the Arsenal fans are overrating Wilshere. He is a young ande very promising player, but far from the finished product. He has the potential to become a better player than Gerrard (who imo is also overrated by English fans).

Yeah he may be overrated but he has been doing really well this year and has been one of Arsenal's best players this season and Pep saying he has players like a top Arsenal player in his reserves can be offensive. At least that is how Arsenal's fans took it. Although the media make things a lot bigger than they actually are.

And we tend to overrate young players a lot. Take Bojan for example, a couple of years ago there were rumours that teams were willing to pay his buy-out clause and now Barca fans are saying he is not good enough.

Pepe said jack is lucky to get the opportunity which he can`t give. Wenger doesn`t have the pressure at Arsenal as what he has at Barca. I just get he was trying to show reason why different pressures allow more room to experiment. I really think Wenger has no choice in buying kids....the extend of the stadium seem more than we thought. I think that`s the reason he has NO Pressure from the board imo. There`s a book called "The making of a Super Club" very good. I might read it again

So, the ref disallowed another goal to Messi, and ignored 2 clear penalties (one for each team). Clearly referees are not very accurate this season. That, and 2 posts, and we drew 1-1 at Sevilla.

We should have won that, but lately we're missing so many chances I can't believe it. We can't be favorites to win anything if we continue to waste chances like that. You never win titles if you don't kill your opponents and we clearly lack in this aspect. We may be throwing away all the work done in the pursuit of the "perfect goal" every play. It makes me angry.

Posession is nothing without intention. If you don't want to destroy your opponent everytime you reach the area, then you end up loosing matches like the one at Emirates or drawing like we did today.

What an awesome 2nd half!

Medel saved two goals and was having a fight with Xavi and Iniesta. Heated match up as expected. Sevilla always make sure Barca and Real Madrid know they can't bully them and stand up and fight!

And yeah Barca could've won that game, 2 posts but also Negredo had an AMAZING chance which he hit horrible and Navas should've got a 2nd and win game for Sevilla with that Perotti attack down the left.

Anyway, this is what La Liga is about. Outstanding technical skills, fast play (unlike what many say) and great fighting spirit by both sides.

Awesome game to watch for neutrals like me though Barca and Sevilla fans, neither are that happy and both wanted a win.

Martin Caceres again showing Barca, why he's such a good player and that Barca could definitely use him in their squad.

Medel + Rakitic for combined total of less than $10M!! f'n Crazy! Monchi and Sevilla re the ULTIMATE bargain hunters! Though RAkitic didn't play well in this game.
