English Premier League thread

THe funny thing is that I don't really despise them, you could say I was exaggerating a bit which is perfectly normal while under the influence. Anyway, I don't like Liverpool mainly because they are a bit overwhelming which I explained in an earlier post. I understand that's a perfectly good reason to love the club as well.

Anyway, it looks like LFC are going to be champions and that doesn't bother me one bit, it's well deserved.

PS. Funny that I actually realized I was talking jibberish, I was prepared to write on for hours without getting anywhere :)
Luckily I rarely drink and I hope this won't happen again, sorry.

No apology needed Zero.
I love this forum for all it's open mindedness and opinions from it's diverse members. So many dedicated fan forums are desperately biased and I can't discuss anything with these people!
Who am I or any of us to judge an opinion?
I love football first and happen to be a Liverpool fan second.
I appreciate good football from whoever plays it.

Please don't give up alcohol!

It is the beauty and the beast of football. Everybody wants to see the likes of Agüreo, Silva and Sabaleto (or whoever) succeed but the numbers (facts) remain that there are more to football than just plain statistics.

I personally think Chelsea, Man City and the likes are an atrocity in football but I am also perfectly aware of the fact that I would probably be of a different opinion had the situation been different in "my club".

If LFC wins, despite the fact that I despise that club with a passion (for no good reason that I would care to elaborate), it would be a victory for football.

Not because they milk the emotional side with hillsborough because that's just another disgusting side with the club (biased opinion) but the fact remains that they have in fact played some amazing football and learned from other clubs that have played them out of their socks in recent years. There are (at least) two ways to approach an uphill struggle and LFC has done it masterfully. They have bought (fairly) cheap, they've evolved talent and they've reaped the product in a way that everybody in PL would and should envy.

If you can't appreciate that then you're a sorry mother***** that doesn't see football through your fat biased eyes. I'm admittedly biased as hell and despise LFC with a passion for no god reason. That's mostly because the LFC fans I've met are generally dimwitted a-holes that can't tell the differencfe between bacon and smoked chicken but that's beside the point. Being mad because an unlikely club is being good enough and lucky enough to probably win the league is just simply pathetic. Take a breather, sit back and ponder the facts for a moment and realize that that just how it is.

PS. fucks sake I struggle to be even remotely coherent because I'm a bit drunk today... I'll consider editing this post or add somethginf tomorrow if needed. Have good one folsk. Havanna Rum is the shit... I'm just saying... :) EDIt 2: Sorry if I offended anyone... it wasn't on purpose.

wow what a post :P

i will explain my feelings from a fan who supported LFC for reasons of loving players like Owen when he started...so i think i follow the club for more than 15 years now..since my childhood when Liverpool played 1.FC Kosice - town very near where i live and my uncle went to that match, massive follower of reds since late 70´s, well the best era.. he is the reason n.1 i follow Reds since he follows them with so much passion it´s unreal :D i am affraid to watch matches with him especially in Hodgson era it was craaazy...

anyway, This season i feel so good not because we are in title pusch right now, but because my team finally found a way again - right way to play, to perform, we have a plan obviously and a hungry young manager who learns from his misakes... for the first time since Istanbull days i think we are in rise each game, there is a hunger for winning, team work, identity wich we can see..

even if we would struggle to win games and we were now where Everton or even Untied are i wouldn´t be sad...simply because i have faith in the manager and that he needs time + i can see the players play for him, believe in him and so do i.

The fact we achieved our aim of top 4 and will play in CL is amazing, the fact we can win the league is unreal for me but i don´t feel sad if we don´t... because i think if we continue building on this foundation, league will come eventually, giving the fact other teams struggle with spending a lot more and without effect.. Rodgers has a plan obviously and it is team work, the team matters and everyone has to play his best..

I find these forums pull lots of the borderline narcissistic personality then the average bloke. Especially ,when they feel the need to be little everyone else. Tactfulness to them is a virus !

reason why refs are affraid of bad decisions to LFC this season:

If it's that cunt Phil Dowd, and I think it is, then it serves him right!

Young PFA nominees

I think PFA is between Yaya and Suarez and Suarez leads by a country mile.

is Ramsey still considered young player being 23?

i though it´s only younger than 21 category..

Sterling for me. He is one of the reasons why LFC is where they are right now.

He was nominated? annual award given to the player aged 23 or under at the start of the season who is adjudged to have been the best of the season in English football. Ramsey is the reason Arsenal were on top of the league for 128 days. Its a WC year so I`m sure it will go to an Englishmen :P

Ramsey imo has been Arsenal`s best player of the season. I don`t think anyone can take that from him. How strange I use to hate the sight of him on a Arsenal shirt, maybe due to Wenger playing him on wings, fullback and anywhere a player was hurt they`ll throw Ramsey there.

POTY Nominations:
Suarez
Sturridge
Gerrard
Lallana
Toure
Hazard

YPOTY Nominations:
Sturrdige
Hazard
Barkley
Ramsey
Shaw
Sterling

Gerrard and Lallana above Silva is a bit of a joke
Sturrdge in the YPOTY category is another joke. He's 24! Januzaj should be in instead of him.

For me
POTY: Suarez
YPOTY: Hazard (would have been Ramsey if he hadn't missed half a season)

Suarez will win it be a country mile. Sturridge is also in YPOTY and will win that.

Both deserved.

First year in my living memory that United haven't had a player in either list. #TheMoyesiah

well, Raheem can compete for it for next 3 and a half years then :D

Hazard - Matches 33 - 15 goals - 7 assists - 69 shots

Well, is there any better young player stat-wise?

Considering that Ribery won an award, albeit not in the PL, even though he's mainly a bully with good teammates then anyone can win.
