I checked reddit for more impressions in their mega release thread and from a sub that is pretty angry about the state of gameplay in 2020 I was expecting lots of opinions on the updates improvements or lack of..

but 99% of the whole thread is who they pulled on MyClub ..no.mentions of gameplay bar 1 or 2 users

It may just be a glorified data pack, but it updates the game where it matters most. On the pitch.
As fall season approaches, gaming sports fans are like little kids at Christmas. That two month period between late August and late October are where almost all of the yearly franchise games drop (the outlier being MLB The Show). This year though is a bit different for Konami. In an effort to put as much time and resource into PES 2022 for next-gen consoles, the team have decided to just provide a ‘season update’ this year at a budget price.

With Konami deciding to make this year's PES an update of last year's game, we thought we'd take a look at what it has to offer.
September is always a special month for sports fans as it usually means the new iteration of their simulation of choice will finally be ready for a new season. However, when it comes to Pro Evolution Soccer fans, this year is slightly different because instead of getting a brand new game, it has been replaced by an update; a decision that was encouraged by the global pandemic but is also part of a long term strategy, according to Konami themselves, which looking forward means a new engine and fresh mechanics for PES 2022.

While I agree that PC parts is more expensive here (even the second handed market price are way beyond logic), Steam, Epic, and other store regional pricing help PC game become more accessible to us with fair price.
About 3rd world country; I'm sorry I just type it out of my ass. Maybe because I'm just disappointed with the way our govt handling this pandemic.

Im on the base 1.00.00..I haven’t tried it or suspect it’s any different once patched..Not yet anyway..But then again I think the gameplays fine..

Props to Konami for having this new kit ready out of the gate. Wasn't really expecting it. Played one game against Finland, was alright, not a huge difference. AI looked maybe a bit better, but still stiff and robotic in their passing, while my manual passes felt as good as 2020. Did have a nice, direct header from a corner go in, instead of the usual floating headers from 2020. Still on basic shooting, and my second goal was an absolute hammer into the top of the net. I will be trying out manual shooting later on.
One thing I noticed, only one match, mind you, that I easily intercepted the majority of the Finnish goalkeeper's throws.
 
3...2...1... and the script begins to work.... 😐

I will not buy it after my experience with Pes 2020!
 
#Super playable...#Response..#individuality..#light years ahead of the other game interms of playability(and reflecting real football)...

Sorry couldnt resist..But there’s definetly a wiff of sour grapes from the fifa fraternity.Its ok boys your still have your game this year with all your presentation and modes(just a shame about the gameplay,which is hollow )🙃😮😮..
 
It nice to see the positives from gameplay.

However, if playing ML the 3rd division team still plays like Barcelona then what's the point... I can't keep playing exhibition because it plays nice. They need to fix the script. Can someone confirm ML is the same?
For now its still a no from me.... holding strong...

I’m happy..Couldn’t be happier😉🦾👊.

Its a day we should be celebrating..Imagine this with a next gen engine..

Saying that it’s not all about tech..it’s execution😉👌I’m sure fifa will be a better game for it(next year).

Quality and competition is good..Wouldn’t you agree!.☺

I dont think the core is rotten,far from it!..😀
