eFootball (All Platforms)

It is a crazy state. I just played PES 2015 again and remembered how I felt it was graphically interesting, gameplay had great mechanics in defense and even still had my old Master League save that's as fun.

If you would have told me that at one point in the future that EA is the only company that still makes a football game with a single player career mode, I wouldn't have believed you since at that time it always seemed that the people who worked on PES cared deeply about football.

You are missing my point: it is crazy to me that now I have to mod a game to still have the PES feeling of old. Like for me.it was a given every year to have two football games who offer different things but both have a single player experience I can enjoy. And it just seemed that PES was the game for football nerds and hardcore football fans.

And now that is gone from the market and there is only one football game left that delivers a single player, since even the other new games all are doing the card game multiplayer.

konami's multiplayer has always been rubbish since the days of pes6... servers always clogged up... players who don't have pings synchronised with their opponents... online gameplay with scripts that have always sucked compared to single player... I don't know how you manage to enjoy online football matches... you have been complaining for 4 years now that you will no longer have the game... since you are getting a castrated version of the old pes2021 with a graphic engine and animations like figure skating for mobile phones... the point has been clear for a while now... they are giving you a castrated game for free... for 4 years now... do you still want to hope that they will change their ways? Better to have a modded pes2021... which is always updated thanks to the sider tool and and its many additional lua modules (the game gets newer and newer), and then the gameplays mods make the other difference... but if you want the multyplayer, i really don't understand you... multiplayer football has always sucked... you never get to do what you want because the game's netcode has always been woeful and scripted

PS: you don't need to be a nerd at all to apply the mods you find for free on evoweb and play the best football game ever in single player,but the passion that makes you want to recreate immediately and for free what konami used to make us wait for every year, before efootball figure skating engine

You completely misunderstood my post. I am annoyed that there is no Single.player experience anymore. And it is not about being a nerd for mods etc.

I just want to go to my console and play a nice football Singleplayer mode on my TV.
No modding etc.

And Konami doesn't deliver this and PES is dead and that is sad to see
 
Very annoying the display settings aren't available for PS5.Anyone know the best settings from a PS5 display standpoint?

Back to the topic. Started a My League this morning with the update: saw some improvements in animations and looks like also hair animations look better.

Gameplay does feel okay. Still not old PES but on Superstar had a good match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Was a 1-1 in the end and it seems they have improved defending AI.
 
Only changes I've seen in this update are the partner clubs have new kits, BVB is now there (along with the stadium), couple new balls, and transfers up to about last weekend (3rd Aug)
 
I have only played one game but the gameplay for me felt a lot more deliberate and refined. Game slowed a bit, ball physics were better, collisions and tackling better.

Still looks horrible and none of the changes are revolutionary but it's definitely noticeable imo. Certainly for me it's a better game than it was yesterday.
 
In any other industry, if you had this complete lack of features in a major (v5.0.0) release you'd be booted out of the window. Add in the 30th anniversary, and it's taking the piss. They're just so far off the mark, why even market the fact it's been 30 years when you're doing absolutely fuck all about it?!?!?! I don't think their marketing department even has any discussions with the dev team, they're so out of sync

Unfortunately it's worse than that. They absolutely are in sync, they just don't care about what we do.

I've accepted that and the game's free so I'll continue to play the odd exhibition when I need a football fix and not expect anything else from the game. Maybe FC 26 will surprise me (chances <5%).
