eFootball (All Platforms)

Just an odd question in case somebody else if experiencing this issue ever since the 4.5.0 version came out:

When I open efootball from steam, instead of having my usual 120fps (I use Cadi Lillian's FPS limit patcher setting it to my screen 120hz), the game is really choppy, maybe at 30fps. This is for basic menu, movie clips, gameplay etc. But when I click out of the app (still keeping it open, but in the background, using the alt tab and click on the desktop for instance), and then back into the efootball app, it runs at the 120hz as it normally does. Is there any reason for this, ie. something wrong with the new 4.5.0 exe?? Or is this a possible AMD latest Driver issue?? Just wondering if anyone has or is experiencing this.
Ive got a 7900xtx AMD gpu. Never had any issues before. And its weird that when the efootball app starts.. its crappy fps, but once I minimise and then get back into it, its fine. Weird
I use nvidia and never had that issue

I wonder if they are playing it via an emulator. Does the controller they are using work on PS2 ?
Those controllers are DualShock 3 / Sixaxis

Assume all the consoles and controllers are official, and if they are playing with the PAL version
It could only be a PAL-region PS2-backward-compatible PS3 (i.e. CECHCxx)

Lol wasnt it the same guy that got banned few times here ? I bet he's still around here with other aliases but hey if his work is good then good on him.
Correct that's him. I am too far from PES and too much into politics these days, to make any comment about this...

That's life, that's KONAMI...

PES 5 AC Milan, IMHO the most stacked team in any PES.
Oh yes, AC Milan in that period was insane.

I'd choose the AC Milan roster featured in PES 4 over the PES 5 one, though, but it's just personal taste.
Those teams were pretty similar, but the 2004/05 one performed definitely better (even without winning anything). And they had a better home kit (tastes, I know).

Hi all,

I've not played eFootball on the PS5 for ages but last night I thought I'd jump back in to see how it was. I actually enjoyed playing it but the issue I have is how washed out it looked using daytime/sunny conditions. I thought that maybe it was my tv settings, but the replays looked really vibrant and colourful so I’m a bit confused. In the gameplay cam it looked like I was always playing in light fog. Is this the way the game looks now? It’s like they’ve forgotten to add lighting or something.

What gives? Cheers!

PES 2017 was the last game that had that "one more game" feeling. It has it's flaws but was amazing simulation of the sport we love.
PES 19 was still pretty good, though in my opinion not as good as PES 17. But yeah for me PES 17 is the pinnacle of the series.

They could use also PES 2009-2011 for the great team Guardiola had at that period. Or alternatively PES 2015 for the triple.

At least for AC Milan they went back to PES 5 with the great squad they had at that time.

I'd like to believe, but then again something tells me I shouldn't. 🤦‍♂️
Actually, I guess what I mean is that it's nice to have hope, but we've been disappointed so many times before, that having high hopes for a proper offline game feels like setting yourself up for a major letdown.

I think on this forum, in terms of tastes we are like on a stranded island. The majority of us are in their 30s-40s or even more, playing any ISS/PES game and also enjoying some FIFA titles. That means, in general almost all of us can remember a lot about PES and the impact that generated in the past on every trailer's day and mostly on every seasonal release. We loved this franchise so much because of that great hybrid gameplay between unique simulative football fundamentals and arcade refinement, but also because of its flexibility on customization, or those gorgeous modes (even online being credited). Not to mention that playing the game on a long term in the PS2/PS3 era, rewarded players for spending their time and respecting it with great new content and crazy unlockables to just continue playing. Then of course every season we wanted more, then waiting for another year to be surprised with a new version of the game that generally added something different into the mix by striking our brains with a new in depth trailer. I remember a lot this one from 2011, everything shown being part of the game...

I was never too bothered by trailers. What excited me were the previews, gameplay from magazines and articles that had early access to the next game (usually some WE build in the case of PES). The whole thing with screenshots and comments in the magazine, and the video footage on the free DVD were what hyped me up for the upcoming game.

If we take it back to eFootball, even when the game was first announced all those years ago, there was none of that really. We all had that trial thing after PES 2021 (performance test or something it was called?). There wasn't really that "step into the unknown" thing

If the fans around the world, esp these forums gather together, send an open letter to Konami, and do an online petition, you think they would listen and release a proper football game and be relevant once again or that's a pipe dream. But then again I am 40 LOL maybe its time to hang em up.

Don't want to spam the thread but the more I play this game the more I like it. Feels very rewarding and realistic in terms of gameplay and tactics. I hope rumours about Master League are true!
(thinking of ai scripting during ML campaign :D )

I was enjoying it for a while but the lack of depth made me lose interest, back on PES2017 with an option file from the same season, I really hope they do a ML but it doesn't make business sense, they are raking in millions on people buying coins.
