Eh not really, while older PES game (PES 5 or 6) is good in terms of variation & AI individuality, AI GK & defense are brain fart compare to newer PES (fox engine). no real challenge, no matter how high the difficulty is.

It is true that newer PES games (fox engine) have its problem you can name it from the overpowered freekick (PES 2020/2021), stupid low cross AI (PES 2019), lack of AI dribbling, midfield problem, superhuman GK whatever but it's not overall bad. Surely old PES game aint perfect either.

I just wish we could implement some gameplay from older PES to newer PES, but yeah that's probably not gonna happen
 
Have you ever played pes 21 mobile ?
I surely haven't and this actually i saw pes mobile video. Take a look of how ronaldinho dribbles.. looks interesting at least compared to the PC/console version.

Yes. There are a lot of small things/tweks that implemented in the mobile version (U.Engine) in the last year that IMO all that stuff are for efootball.

The graphics don’t look anything like efootball as far as we’ve seen - they’re surely not stupid enough to use a CGI sequence again (i.e original messi trailer) and none of the cover stars of E football wear those boots.

Spider-Man No Way Home was announced long time ago and we got the trailer 2 days ago.. I guess when they release it on December 17th It wont be called a Premiere by this logic

That's kind of an exaggeration imho ;) , at least for Pes 5. Personally, I also find superhuman keepers and defenses kinda boring. I'm the first one who likes tough AI but the challenge, at least for my tastes, needs to be plausible and varied in some measure. Keepers especially in the last three games are such a turn off for me.
 
The funny thing is earlier this year i played PES 5 for the first time in years. Use cut inside with low driven shoot = goalfest.

Tbf, i'd rather choose AI with *harder defense & GK cause it's more challenging and makes me curious than goalfest, it's no fun playing with many goals.

*Harder not superhuman level.

I think most balance and "human" GK in PES series is on PES 2017. Series below that are brain dead and after 2017 it's GK with super serum.
