I think we ( players ) should stand up and as a USERS send open letter to KONAMI
Open letter requesting PES back
We are 4 years gameless USERS

OpenLetter with signed usernames or even KONAMI ID

We have no product to use
Some people even bought PS5 for PES but got eShameball
Nesa no one is going to hear us. PES franchise died in June of 2021 in favour of efootbal and thats gonna stay forever. Its all about how much $ is konami earning since the release of efootball and his main dream team mode. Efootball actually is having much more profit that PES saga. 700 millions of downloads in mobile and one billion of dollars in profit. Impossible to comeback. Also they are aiming to mobile market so I would say in two years efootball in consoles and pc dissapears.

Excuse me, with all due respect, but what does "Bring PES back" mean? We still have access to PES games that can be played even now (we can't say the same for eFootball ), and based on eFootball's in recent years, it's not significantly different or better than PES 2021, it may even be worse.

Perhaps you're suggesting that since there are no live servers, PES is considered dead? So, are you advocating for the return of the MyClub mode because it's the only mode unavailable due to the absence of servers? Well... that is eFootball, there's only the MyClub mode and nothing else.

Or are you implying that the game feels alive only when there's the opportunity to play online with others? If so, then we just need to find a way to persuade Konami to provide tools to support and run the Team Play Lobby online server, which encompasses modes from 1 vs 1 to 11 vs 11.

As for how to make this happen... I don't know, but surely there are people smarter than me in this community who can come up with something.

Honestly? I wouldn't blame KONAMI if they just killed PES, called the new series eFootball and said "hey, it's not PES, now it's online, don't require singleplayer modes, it's not that game, it's not PES" But they promised at least ML and Edit mode twice, then they did not meet the deadlines and pretended that nothing like that happened, they did not announce anything. And so on for 4 years. This is simply a lack of respect for their own customers who have allowed them to earn money for many years.

Not sure why you keep saying 4 years on... I'm sure the Konami devs first came up with the idea 3 years ago at the earliest (this goes for that Nesa lad too)

You know... We were all waiting for PES on Unreal Engine, that's how it started. They never said "it will be online game after rename, no singleplayer as it would be in PES on UE". As the wrote on their official site: "PES" is evolving into "eFootball™". It's "evolving", but they didn't say how it's evolving and that it's the end of offline modes.

Have to say, I don't get the hate for the game pretty much as equally as I don't get the love for it.

Both franchises have mutated into nothing more than 'content'. It's take it or leave it - which is both fine and also rather depressing.

Remember the days in the early 2000's when it was pretty much a guarantee this title was gonna deliver (to some degree) and it was just a wee wait for some geniuses to magic up an option file and we all just got on with it?

Now you turn this on and can have a decent game or two and it does nothing but kill an hour or so and when it starts to wind you up you just hit exit game without feeling like you can, or *have* to, beat it; at least play out a cracking wee defeat that you were thoroughly involved in.

It's just content.

If they add ML/edit/11*11.. it will still be broken product
Bring PES back - well if you dont know what that is i cant show you

We are 4 years in preEarlyAccess
Where is that *ROAD MAP*

I do have my own mind and i use it freely
OpenLetter is the way to point to the gaming media to rise insight that WE are alive and gameless
F2P loot is killing games
P2W is killing games
P2WF2P is killing games

I would more like to have PES2008 level than this

Sure it can be a void shot but Konami did a kill shot far worse then Blizzard/Battlefield/MoH/COD

eShameball is a ruin in gaming history

They flat out lied to our faces about Unreal Engine.
20+ years of a worldwide fanbase. We kept them in the fight against EA/FIFA, even when the game was underwhelming.
We kept getting PES every year, because we knew that year might be the masterpiece we were waiting for.

20+ years of actual EVOLUTION of a game engine, flushed down the shitter.
Sprinkled with lies about UE & that "newfootballgame" is just an online test. MOBILE CASINO , more like it. But the bots here kept telling us to wait.
We should have spoken 3 years ago, not wait. How many red flags do people need?

It's a fkn shambles.. (where art thou Seabass!?)

29 months after launch and its still a demo.

Yet konami play tone deaf that their loyal community hates them from all angles.

Konami need to wake up and realize people will ditch this franchise having to play as Man Blue in a generic stadium with a dull hideous crowd over and over again, or doing the same tired old dream team events. efootball is stale and has no soul anymore right now.

Did it ever?

Fair deal for those who enjoy it. I, for one, need a true sense of continuity and meaning in my matches, and online gaming doesn't quite cut it for me. Neither does single League play.

Master League is the beating heart of PES.

Thank goodness there are plenty of PES installments that have stood (and will keep standing) the test of time and shine on their own worth!

Do you know why they don't release ML and other modes?
Because of the Asian players, and given that Konami during the last years of the PES saga never took this side of the world into account, it is very likely that they will not do so now.

Konami doesn't move if the Asians don't bother them, they even give them their shitty reality show, Konami can, it doesn't cost them that much to make a good game but if they make billions making the demo, you already know the answer.

I think the only solution where the players benefit is if Konami is hacked and the source code of Efootball is leaked.

But since that will never happen, I'm left with the memories of PES 2006 and 2013, along with the 2021 mods and looking to the future in games like UFL or EA FC

Konami quit the saga before efootball. Pes 20 and 21 are a step back regarding older pes. They never learnt to use fox engine properly lets be honest the truth is pes 20 and 21 are bad games by default. They never wanted to improve their Game. Sometimes mods can not do everything, when you see for example pes 21 and pes 13 you see how this Game have been falling throught the years. Its sad and sucks how the situation is and efootball is a shit mobile online card videogame just built for cards.

OK, Let's speak plainly, without any detours or sugarcoating, even if it's difficult for some of us to accept. PES is gone because 90% of you primarily engage with MyClub and nothing else. Just look at YouTube and Twitch in the last years of the PES series; almost all the content is focused on MyClub and "Pack Openings" because all the interest in the game revolves around that.

Naturally, Konami, being a corporation driven by data, would have had discussions at the highest levels of management:

"Why invest time and resources into developing a full game when the majority of players are only interested in a fraction of its content?"

It's a valid question from a business perspective. After all, they're seeing significant revenue from the Lite/Mobile/Free version of the game alone. So, why bother with the expense of developing a complete game?

Undoubtedly, there were internal debates and disagreements, perhaps leading to some departures from the company.
Yes, now some of us feel betrayed, lied to, and ignored, but don't forget that, Konami is a massive corporation, driven primarily by profit.
! It has no soul, head, or heart, and its only purpose is making money.

Yes, EA seems to be more.. conservative and "mainstream consumer and gamer minded" but they can afford it!

EA and FC reached 1 billion in revenue in less than 6 months, while Konami needed 2-3 years to do it, I'm not saying it's a bad achievement for eFootball, but the levels are different and EA can afford to spend money and time in developing the whole game, and it works well for them.

Statements like "the game has lost its soul" or "it's just an empty vessel for making money" ...it's always been like that. The PES series, like any other, was ultimately a digital product designed for sale. However, your personal connection to the game is shaped by your individual experiences, whether it be playing with friends or family during a certain period. This personal attachment often leads to idealization.

What has changed significantly is the approach to game development and distribution. In the past, games were expected to be complete and fully featured upon release. Nowadays, the landscape has shifted towards live service gaming, where games are continuously updated and expanded over time. This shift has undoubtedly altered the dynamics of the gaming industry.

The only thing we can hope will happen is that this bubble of "Live Service Gaming" will burst and things will take a better position for the gamers, but when and if it will happen is hard to say.

This is just a card gambling simulator they can make over 100 cards of the same player with a few changes in stats and a new skill sprinkled in wait until they start making iconic moments cards again. Hey look a messi card from his game against bayern he has 1 more dribbling than his signature card and then a few months later its the 19 year old messi card from his hattrick game against madrid he has 2 more speed than the last card. And every time they release those cards people will pull out their credit cards. There's like 10 versions of mbappe, neymar and messi in this game and there will be many more. The special cards are the only time this game's fanbase gives it attention because even though this game is supposed to be online Konami don't know how to make fun events and don't get me started on the blatant cheating that goes unpunished.

Yeah you summarise it well - I still think ML will be released but I don't think it will be before August/September

But what if they release ML? People thinks ML and edit mode will save everything when is not gonna save anything, the whole product and his concept is totally wrong at least for a part of community including me

3 years with almost no offline content + no proper explanation should be red flag. I was optimistic back then but now... Not so much even if they announced it on their official site, it's all BS until i play it.
