Ok this is insane weird wtf is going on with the PS5 version then. Compression can't be that good for a single particular console? Did they botch the release on PS? Or is it downloading a 'PS4' version sold as PS5?

But the PS5 can already do that... no need for separate downloads... It'd download the 30 GB and when you're at 10, let you play and continue with the rest.
 
Ok, it is now downloading another chunk. Weird it didn't show it from the start like any other game does.

Either it's massively unresponsive or there's horrendous performance issues. Possibly both. It plays as if I'm playing against someone who lives on the moon in terms of how delayed it feels (and this is offline). Going to try to tweak some things if it's even possible. No surprise that it looks and feels like a mobile game in terms of UI/menus. I've dabled with a lot of mobile games in my day and I feel like I'm booting one up with the Bluestacks emulator...
 
I just got fouled and in the cutscene all of the ui elements kept floating in place, like the player circle with arrow was just static on the field where I got fouled as the replay happened.

Also, I don't know what they did with those, but they seriously suffer from grave texture load in and stutter for no reason.

Really? FFS this is ridiculous. Biggest shithouse company I ever known. What's the problem with letting us play a 10 minute match, what's the bloody difference. Why do they insist of pissing everybody off at every opportunity.

Agreed, super tired so only played a game (PS5) but my thoughts are near enough the same. This is coming from someone who's found at least something to enjoy from each PES on release day through the entirety of last generation.

Maybe it's the tiredness, but it feels as obviously half baked as everyone suspected. The step down when compared to a modded PES 2021 and FIFA 22 (next gen) is enormous.

Edit: To be honest I feel I'm being quite generous here, the game I played genuinely felt terrible. But I'm keen to give it a couple of games before trashing it
 
I'm not joking replays just do this for no reason - note the position circle laying where the foul happened. This is like an alpha.

One thing I really don't like is that they took away the Pressure button (X on PS/ A on Xbox). So now you can tackle with Square like in Fifa, but there's no way to apply pressure. If you hold L2, instead of jockeying your player homes in on the player with the ball and tackles/fouls them.

They also took away Square to have your teammate pressure. So all this together means it's impossible to press because you can only press with one player at a time.
