eFootball (All Platforms)

I just love all of the "*Available post-launch" content...
this is truly terrible, changing the key mechanics of the game AFTER people have already started playing.

if people play it at the beginning and it's a shell of a game controls wise, they wont come back to it when these things have been added, they're already gone.

What to say?

Well... My expectations 3 months ago were: "Konami is working to this game from 2 years, they are using UE so they are rewriting almost everything to give us the most beautiful football experience ever... They can't fail"

Me now: 🙂 the fool's smile

Well, now actually looks like a Ps4 game.

There are some parts of the trailer where it looks worse but i think this is better than what i played with the beta.

Animations are smooth though and nothing like a Ps3 game like someone said. I'm more interested now, but the fact that this is a free to play game kills it for me.

When are we going to have single player modes, that i want to know. Only then i will be interested.
People are exagerating here as always. It's like PES 2021, not in worst, to me perhaps in better, i don't know from that angle. And seems better than what i saw in the other "Beta".
So well, it's not at all an outshining game, but not mobile. Don't push the brainless trolling button too much for some because of disappointement.
I personnally didn't waited more than a PS4 game. Fifa 22 except graphically looks like a PS4 game. Or should i said PS3 to be even more dramatic?

Come on.

This will be bad for PES2014 ... that game had better trailer and better looking gameplay before release.

This is beyond catastrophy, they didnt even make new trailer, they reused some footage from previous.

Guess all development time went to online gambling mechanics, you can expect those to work perfectly.

In some of those moments it actually looks ok... yeah, not ps5 standard, but an improved, smoother, more free version of pes 21.

And the midfield and defensive cpu AI looks promising.

May be a worthwhile demo after all...

I want AMAZING graphics, otherwise whats the point in spending big amounts of money on a new console just to be trolled by developers like Konami

It says at the end that the game will continue to be updated based upon community feedback.. which community is this and where can I provide my feedback? I take it, it isn't this forum?

All the gameplay stuff aside, the presentation of the trailer was just awful. Colours, fonts, music, boring subtitled interviews. Why? Most amateur fans would put something better together. Why use bright blue and yellow it doesn't look nice at all, when they use it in the menus it will be horrible to read

The only game that has amazing graphics on Ps5 is Ratchet and that was developed exclusively for Ps5. This game, being multiplatform, will never look as good as that. At least now it's a Ps4 looking game, the beta was truly awful.

You never buy consoles for Pes, not anymore, you buy PC to mod it and have the best possible graphics.

There's others games, didn't personnally buy a PS5 for that. Well the shadows are pretty wtf it's bugging me. Looks like the conversion is not totally done from Unreal graphics to fox lighting or i don't know.

Another "face" to add to the collection.... look at Sule.

Look at Aubameyang's face.

And Demon's Souls, i got both. Wait for Black Myth Wukong... If our PS5 could handle that monster.

Press Release

Seitaro Kimura, eFootball™ series Producer at Konami Digital Entertainment commented: “With so much change this year, we believe it is important that people first understand the feel of our football game on the pitch – highly realistic and grounded in a clear passion for real-world football. Decades of experience developing PES and Winning Eleven titles have been poured into eFootball with the aim of reaching a massive audience of football fans around the world. This is the start of a unique journey and we have big plans for the future.

Controlling the ball touch

Players will be able to control the strength of kicking the ball as well as determining dribbling speed; from a knock-on all the way to a full dash, just as in real football. In addition, on PlayStation®5, eFootball™ will make use of the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to feel the difference of player movements*.

*This feature will be added in an update after launch. Please wait for further information.

Tricking the defender

With greater freedom to control how the player will trap the ball, each play becomes a mind game*. A wide array of dribbles and body feints are also available with intuitive commands. In combination, these ensure that every single duel offers an exciting moment for both attacker and defender.

*This feature will be added in an update after launch. Please wait for further information.

Steal the ball and create chances

Players can block their opponent's shot by throwing their body or by reading the kick and cutting the pass. Naturally, stealing the ball close to the opponent’s goal creates an excellent scoring opportunity.

Physical battles

eFootball™ recreates the "physical defence", which is so important in real-life football, with a charging command when defending. In addition, the offensive team can also use their bodies to keep the ball in play, making both offensive and defensive play more dynamic.

Perform a Sharp Kick*

An option to charge a “sharp kick”, complete with new animations, will make the game even more technical and exciting. Players will be able to perform special kicks, such as sharp crosses, fast lofted passes and rising shots. These new actions take more time to execute, so players will need to choose the right opportunities during a match.

*This feature will be added in an update after launch. Please wait for further information.

Focus on 1vs1 duels

The eFootball™development team has analysed real-life football tactics to create a new set of "1vs1" win/lose rules. With Motion Matching technology, the game evaluates the ball, movement speed, body direction, physical ability and more in real-time to affect the movement of every player. These win/lose rules work in tandem with player movement to make the game more convincing, including foul decisions, which have been reworked.

Enhanced team playstyles and new controls

Team playstyles are a vital part of football, so the AI controlling the off-the-ball players has been revamped. Combining this with the new attacking and defending controls, players will have much greater freedom to play the way they want.

A new camera: Duel

The new “Duel” camera zooms in when the player is in a 1vs1 situation, allowing the player to enjoy the 1vs1 scene from a closer distance. When the player is in a free situation, the field of view expands, allowing the player to send a long pass at the right moment.

General improvements

The new Motion Matching animation system creates much more natural and fluid player movements. In addition, ball movement has seen further enhancements due to a partnership with a research institute. Finally, the action never stops during a match, due to the Seamless Restart system.

Further information about game modes, licenses, mobile, release date and more will be announced during September, so please stay tuned.

eFootball™ will launch as a free-to-play platform, worldwide first on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows® 10 and PC Steam® this Autumn, with iOS and Android to follow soon after.

HA HA HA HA.

Exactly what i was expecting PES 2020 Season update vol 2. At least they have the honor not asking for money anymore.

Tell you up front even if the gameplay is remotely as decent as 2021( if u can call that decent) ML paid DLC will be the same too as last year. They just stopped caring at all.

That is PES 2013 on PS3 :
Well physics were shitty in the others part. And that pics is from a PC high very high resolution. Gomez looks pretty bad btw.
But i said that shadows are wtf and bugging me, what do you want more?

Isn't a normal shadow here? I don't kno i'm asking... But it seems to me:

But there are plenty of other screens where the shadows are good looking and a lot more defined, so that is not how the game will look on Ps5 or Ps4.
Maybe you are right but most of the shots are with bad LOD and shadows ! " Good " looks just s cutscenes in the beginning, and I believe that Konami is showing the best what they have.

I remember times were gameplay comes first and gfx on 2 or 3 rows.... that were good times !

the game will look really good on PS5 and people who think the game will have low res, low details and no grass on PS5 are trolling...

of course, the trailer was crap and we know it before release... never than less, i think until the end of 2021 we will get a game that will look better and make more fun thanPES2021 on NG (and hopefully PC)

if that game gets a shitstorm after release and everybody got the hands-on it - iam in bashing the hell out of it, but now I am happy that something change
and is in progress... better than a PES 2022 with just new kits!

The shaws are just, on one hand, the grass looks bad, the player's animations look bad, the kits look from wood, that why we say its looks like a PS3 game, I can take that as a proper PS5 title... sorry! You say that we are "overreacting " and trolling but here that is not the case. It looks bad.
