eFootball (All Platforms)

I really, really laughed at "please continue giving your support to both PES 2021 and eFootball™ 2022.". Who does that?

I've never seen a statement like that, which actively says "keep playing our old game AND the new game" - have you? That's insane.

"Old game, new game, we don't care, this ship is sinking and we need your money so stop reading and get spending."

I thought it was odd they decided to follow the previous norm – to switch off MTX at this time of year for the older game that's still live – given the new game and its MTX won't be available for a while. And so they just reverted that decision. They're handing out some casino chips and wheeling out some new lootboxes for the loyal fans.

On a side note, we did consider the option of updating the license data of eFootball PES 2021 and continue its service for an extended period. However, unfortunately there were too many technical issues that could not be overcome, so we were forced to discard this option.

ok, thanks for thinking about and not doing it. That's pretty much as good as doing it.

I wonder what the many "technical issues that could not be overcome" were.

Removing mobile crossplatform is the only good news here. Otherwise, I honestly struggle to see how they'll reintroduce PES 2021's physics, tactics, and player traits to eFootball. I also don't know how useful a Spring release would be for a football game, a mere month before the real season ends. We'll see though.

It's console and PC (and the PES modding community) users that have made the game what it is today. Konami continues to ignore this fact.

EDIT: And what kind of technical issues are they talking about? Why is it ok for mobile users to get updates for PES 21 but not ok for PC and consoles users who have been the backbone of this franchise and with this particular game? WTF is up with this company?

And then we announced..............

Then we announced that we were releasing a roster update for mobile only :LMAO:

maybe because of Master League?

Absolute jokers, they seriously cannot update PES 2021 for console & PC?? Then they confirm they are updating the mobile version of PES 2021, what kind of messed up decision is this. Konami just trying to rake the cash in again after dropping a hot turd in eFootball 2022.

They then ask us to support eFootball yet still won't allow the option to change game duration or to have access to more difficulty levels.

What a bunch of morons.

Konami should have just released a PES2022 SEASON UPDATE for the current gen. Then include some of the features (i.e. sharp kick, revamped controls, dribbling, new menu/font design etc) from the next gen into the current gen game, to prepare players for the next gen game. With regards to the gameplay, they don't have to do much besides make a few tweaks to make it different from the previous game e.g. make the pace of the game slightly faster, make it more responsive, make the ball feel lighter, make dribbling looser and so on. Pretty anything much anything that makes it feel like a new game.

I think this would take no more than 4 months to do? The large majority of that would be administration stuff like sorting out licenses and the database.

You're forgetting that Konami does things that should'nt be done
So let's forget about what should happen
Lets just watch this shitshow unfold
I think everyone is going to enjoy it

It was always heading this way its like ever since PES 2008 they have come close the brink of disaster and just about saved themselves by the skin of their teeth

Countless small weird **** bugs and decisions come to mind like 2013 magic boots, 2014 demo leak and broken tech, pes 2016 AI low shots, 2017 breaking ML stadiums then having to fix it a month after release,2019 broke AI where CPU strikers would pass it despite being clear on goal and low cross spam and finally the coup de grace EFarcical 2022..

What a beautiful disaster

they just want money and money. The number of PES Mobile players makes them more concerned with the mobile version than the PC or console versions. Maybe that's one of the reasons why Kojima left Konami IMO.

Unfortunately, the mobile platforms are back on the site homepage. With them stating ''*Fixed some erroneous information. (Updated 26/11/2021)''

The problem is no one is interested in making a simple football game. Everyone asks for simulation and complexity. I'm still longing for a next gen arcade game that strips back to basics and might not be so 'realistic' but fun and rewarding. The fact that Pes in the old days was so good was because it was arcade. Imagine what PS5 could do with an updated PES 6 with better graphics, animations, individuality and 360° movement.

It's really shitty (well i understand that PES 2021 mobile new faces are not reaching 10% of the level detail of PC/Console "technical issues"
But if someone can, at least, extract that mobile file...
I could "restore" to 21-22 update FAR easyly PES 2021 at least on PS4, about stats and transfers.
With ejogc editor, it should be doable. And far easier to update stats and formations regarding that release, for modders too. Copy/paste for them (recopy manually for PS4 editor 😅)
