Nothing against you or the effort you’re putting into this, but I think I just have to accept that it probably doesn’t matter how many sliders you tweak or which gameplay mods you use — FC 27 is never going to come close to replicating the real sport. Not even remotely.

I said exactly the same thing: what that left-back is doing has nothing to do with football. Even in children’s football, players are marked better than that.
Absolute rubbish.

When I see that, I get as aggressive as the user’s default setting in the YouTube description:

As I said, before deciding what is or isn’t possible based on nothing outside of your feelings, wait and see what can be done. It’s just such confirmation bias to determine something can never be better when you really don’t know.

Haha prove what ‘to my’ community? I didn’t say anything about sliders or a ‘miracle cure’.

Why are you coming with such anger? All I’m saying is let’s just wait and see what mods can do before deciding what isn’t possible.

Of course I know that. I still think, though, that the game needs to be reprogrammed from scratch, regardless of which engine is used. It’s fine to have a different opinion, and that’s where we differ.

I have zero issue with a different opinion, all I said was let’s just wait and see what can be done before we decide what is or isn’t possible. You’re the one having an issue with that simple, fairly logical concept.

‘Game engine’ were your words, not mine.
 
That’s exactly what you should do.

It’s 10 years on from 2017. A new engine would be a start. Or, after five years of inactivity, it might be time to invest some money again and start from scratch to create a game fuelled by passion.

Barcelona has 3 red cards so it was 11 vs 8. So yes there is no defender here at the end of the match, with the stamina empty. Having the context is always important 😉.

I want to tell something to everybody, it will be the last time so listen carefully.

I didn't want to have a full simulation, boring like many footy matchs. I want to have a fun game in 8 minutes half that bring me fun and want to made a more realistic career with my teams.

I'm not a developper, I'm a user like many of us.
The game is now out for the ultimate version.
I can show now some actions with MY FEELING.

When peuple said this game is trash, It's ok, no proof needed because it's a national sport to said EA always maid bad things. Canadian developpers didn't know anything about football...

But if you said, you have fun, there are fouls and the ball is more free. Peuple said you're a fanboy, you lie etc...

That's ok, I take it.
I always explain my feelings with a video to show what I want to explained.
I have read there is no goal from CPU from distance. The CPU scores already twice long ranges against me on legend.

I accept people didn't have the same feeling as me. We have all different taste. But in the other end, you have to accept that people could have different tastes or feeling too.

FIFA is always difficult to judge, so many settings that changed the CPU behaviour.

The career producer said fouls will be tweak at launch so maybe the day one patch will be out the 25th.

I hope you will have a great experience, on FUTO, FUMA, whatever.

I’ve lost you too. I thought my points were perfectly reasonable as well.
We’re going round in circles and we’ve both made our cases, so we might as well leave it at that now.
 
To this day, we have not seen a bug-free, perfectly working football simulator. We all had hopes the industry would be at a different level in 2027, but we need to stick what we have and set indiviual priorities.

For the moment, FC27 and its new possibilities to tweak the mechanics seems to deliver the most promising package to me.
 
I'd say I'm happy that at least the instructions work for fullbacks. If I'm playing 5 ATB and my FBs aren't getting up the pitch, I just change them to wingback or attacking wingback and problem solved. Yes, not great because there are FB positioning sliders, but at least there is a solution that I can control.

I appreciate you sharing your opinions and it is both unproductive and inappropriate for anyone in this forum to say your experience or opinion is wrong or any less valid than those who post about the game’s flaws.
 
Many bugs that were never fixed in the PS5 version of FC26 are inexplicably still present in FC27. For example, gameplay settings that never save; on the fly tactical settings that require multiple presses to register or don’t at all; running jockey not working when using authenticity features; commentary turning off during some matches…

Ive not even subscribed to EA play this year for the trial, I can already tell, itll be 2 passes and a through ball, 1-1 with the keeper for a goal, it has been for the past 5 years.

Not just FC26, this bug goes as far back as FC24. I don't know if this is a PC issue or also happens on console?
 
I'm the biggest critic/moaner when it comes down to football (and basketball) games. Because my kids play the game and I've already paid for this cr*p I'm trying to make it somewhat playable. I think I found a medium while messing with these dribbling sliders and the game looks a bit better. It's not proper football ofc but it is what it is. I'll post the sliders later, everything is based on authentic to custom with tweaks in speed and legacy defending option is required.
 
Holy f'n sliders. Lol. It's going to be fun to play around with them and see how mods will interact with them. The halftime whistle bug is still present as well on PC.

I tired fc 26 thanks to gamepass ultimate and ea play trial period and i think i did the same year before that and on all those occasions i got the feeling of disgust after playing one or two games of football.

Imagine paying money and getting the same feeling of dissatisfaction and having to stick to the game because you payed absurd amount of money for a game which should've been free to play.

There is literally no joy in dribbling or scoring a goal.

Do you know if anyone is making sliders for competitive and not authentic?

Authentic just feels an extreme mess this year, so heavy and unresponsive. The game is just dead. Competitive is the extreme the other way, but much more fluid.

Hoping theres a way to save this game because career mode seems really good to play through.

Default authentic is heavy but you can alter the sliders and find a medium.

I would generally recommend waiting for a month or so while slider creators get their feet under the table with it.

I would always recommend using the base sliders that the Operation Sports team use and making personal tweaks from there.
 


There is a counter-argument to things like this (e.g. skating, vibrating players, jelly legs and balls going through limbs) which I've heard a few times - "it's just the animation system, the wrong animations / stance is being chosen, it doesn't affect gameplay".

But if your player should be falling over and doesn't - or the ball should be deflecting and doesn't (or deflects in a physically impossible manner to magnetise to a player)... They're slightly different things but I'd argue it's reflecting the core gameplay issues.
