This is a bug. For created club it picks the league you have for your favourite team and you can't change it. Change your favourite team to the league you want to create your club on.Sorry, if this has already been discussed, but i have a severe problem:
I wanted to start a new manager career. I created my coach, made my own club and got to the menue where i am asked to choose a league and which club i want to substitute.
BUT: I cannot make ANY decision what league i like to play. There is simply NO options. It's just fixed to one specific club and can't navigate through anything. In my case I'm stuck to German 2nd league. Even when i choose that stuck option and enter the German league i cannot choose a team to substitute - there is only one team displayed that i can substitute. In the next menue i can choose any rivals - this works...
When playing a quick game every team is available. So all the squads are there.
First I thought it has sth to do with some mods.
But after a clean new installation with deleting all data from AppData/Local and /Local/Temp and starting the game without any mods i am still stuck on the page where to choose the country and the league...
I'm out of ideas...
Anyone else facing the problem? Has it sth to do with the latest patch?
Imagine social media and these content creators were around during PES5/6. They'd be screaming and crying just cos they couldn't learn all the intricacies of the game in 5 minutes and demand x, y and z be changed every week. Not realising everything is fine, there's just a learning curve that takes 2-3 weeks to learn and not 5 minutes, that's part of the fun.Just to clarify based on the last three posts (@Bale_86 / @Madmac79) - I very much doubt these changes will apply to Authentic mode. I wouldn't worry about that.
My frustration isn't about the offline gameplay here. My frustration is on behalf of the majority of consumers, the "non-enthusiasts", who buy a football game expecting a football game... who mostly play online, and who have zero "competitive" interest... but who have to put up with the gameplay being, in my view, degraded, for the sake of the "competitive" scene.
It is just so unfair to the consumer. I want to play online again, but I can't, because it's one thousand million lightyears away from a team-based sport. I'm angry on behalf of your average Joe who doesn't even know what a forum is, who is going to wonder why the game keeps getting even twitchier and even dumber in defence.
I really don't believe anyone wants 10-9 scorelines outside of the "hardcore" competitive guys.
Authentic mode won't suffer these changes, I would bet on it. But my one disappointment is that, in the interview - talking about the "fidget spinner" R1 dribbling that was toned down, and the resulting backlash from these "pros" - Bogdan says:
"Let's wait, let's look what happens over the week as people play those Competitive games [...] we don't want to make rash decisions."
Within days of saying that, a patch was released that increased dribble speed again, and now here we are again with some dumbing-down of the AI (to clarify, for online play exclusively, we can safely assume).
I wish I could find it, but I saw a tweet yesterday that was a "pro" saying the quiet part loud - "I'm not winning all my games any more, I'm getting beat and that shows how broken this game is" ... that's the reason the screaming is so loud.
And yet they get their demands, time and time and time again, at the expense of good gameplay. It's not fair.

Then, what Seabass would change things every 2 weeks when these fools moan? I DON'T THINK SO. No, he'd ignore everyone and say you don't like the game, fine, go play something else. This is the game I wanted to create.
Difference being EA will listen to these fools cos the dumbing down of the game = becomes easier for the majority and the masses and they'll keep playing and spending $$$. EA now is literally the polar opposite of Seabass and co. philosophy and values etc.
Imagine releasing a song where the melody is jacked up and the lyrics are dodgy and you release 20 different remixes across the next year with varying degrees of utter fail beore teasing a release of your new song which you promise will be better this timeI
Imagine if after releasing a song, an artist would change it based on fan feedback.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but just take a look at eFootball and you will know, it is not only EA that is chasing after the money. The thing is, eFootball Fans are on a different kind of delusional level. They just take everything, that Konami is giving them (and it is not a lot). No matter how bad it is. And no matter how bad EA FC is, I would even dare to say that it is made with much more vision than anything that Konami put out in the last 6 years.Imagine social media and these content creators were around during PES5/6.
