E3 2008

Wow that game looks amazing. Whens it out/what console?

EDIT: Just read the details on the site...will be out for 360. Will keep an eye out for this to see how it develops!
 
im shocked that ff13 is not an exclusive anymore. square enix fucked up BIG time. now the ps3 version will be a dumbed down version with low res textures as a dvd cannot simply store all the data for this game

I wasn't blown away by MS conference. Nothing really new apart from the avatars and well that is just jumping on what ninty and sony are doing.

The whole Final Fantasy nonsense is lost on me as I have never played one by the way.

Sony really need to get the finger out though. They need to jump over ms and release HOME even in a beta stage NOW. They have enough great games but that would seal the deal.

To be honest, the only console that is original is the Wii. Both the PS3 and 360 are copying each other, going toe to toe so to speak. Live vs PSN. Home vs new 360 dash. Achievements vs Tropheys. Avatars vs Mii's vs Home characters.

The difference is that MS get a bitch slapping for copying stuff, the rest get praised.

It is a sound business strategy as anyone who wants to do this will simply have to get a bigger, over priced HDD. I'd do the same if I was in their position.

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeet out.

Sony got slapped all over E3 for adding motion controls to their pads and for copying Microsoft adding their own achievements, adding a hard drive and the console profiles.

The backlash towards the 360 that I'm seeing now is that most of the stuff they're adding is what people pointed at laughed at the PS3 for.


Installing games was always a 'Who needs to install games for a 1 second increase in loads?

Home? 'Cartoon virtual sims wannabe'


Personally I think the new 360 updates sounds amazing. I'm completely not interested in the avatars... but the rest (the party play modes for one) are very very nice additions.

yea thats what i was saying. its ok for MS to have the ability to install games but not ok for sony? i guess coopz wont be interested in most of these new features then.:lmao:
 
I thought that fallout looked ridiculous.

Pausing the game every time you see an enemy to line up the kill.

Ghostbusters looks ace tho.

Theres way to much fanboy fights of 360 vs PS3 turning up lately :( this faded away but it seems its back with a vengeance.
 
im getting grief because i pointed out why I didn't need a PS3

i have never even said i dislike it and would buy one if it did stuff i needed so i dunno why im being pestered
 
This defending and attacking consoles is so childish. My car is better than yours, as is my tv and my kettle. Who cares who has what? Whats the point in defending your console? As long as youre happy, thats all that counts. Unless you bought it just to fit in and have no interest in the console but just trying to be in the cool gang, i just think its all a load of nonsense even debating it. Coopz has a 360 because its what he wants and it meets his needs, its that simple.
