Well i'd actually call it 5-4 to Depor, seeing as how Milan thrashed Depor in the first leg.
 
I am real Butatista. These are the games of which clubs must win, if they cannot prepare for them, simply, they are not good enough, due to the fact that they cannot perform well enough in the important games. Just face, it IF and i stress it, IF we win the Champions League, we are simply the best team in Europe, only because we performed when it matters.

Now dont misquote me, i clearly said IF we win. Which I dont think we will anyway. Both ways, I can settle for one of the four best teams in Eurpoe. Butatista you have to settle with Either the 8-4th best teams. Im sorry.
 
Lets just agree to disagree ok? What you definately have wrong though is your insistence on bringing Arsenal into this discussion to score points.

All I said was that I didn't agree with your statements about the team that wins the CL being the best team in Europe. Thats all.
 
What is sure is that, if chelsea won't win the champs lge, they're gonna face a season which sounds like a failure...

PS Chelsea's season has be just fine Beetlebum. We're in the CL last 4 (great just being there), (we kicked out "unbeaten"Arsenal), and we're in the CL next season. Top 3 finish! I think a lot of people wouldn't mind that. Not bad, considering people said we wouldn't gel, and wanted to see us fail miserably. ;)
 
You guys still haven't gelled much. You only play well when most of the starting 11 are the players brought in before the Abramovich era. :)
 
which is considered the greater achivement, winning the CL or the PREM? If chelsea win the CL is that a greater accompishment then arsenal winning the league?

I don't know which is the the greater achievement, although there are no teams like Real, Depor, Porto, AC Milan ,...in the EPL.

What i do know is that Arsenal are dying to win the CL...if Wenger had to choose at this moment, he rather would be Ranieri than Wenger.
 
gerd, that is exactly what i mentioned. I know for a fact Wenger wanted the CL trophy the most. He and Arsenal have won the Premiership recently, that's all fine and dandy, but the kudos a manager gets by winning the CL....unparalleled in club football. If we won (heh heh) and Ranieri still got the boot, i would be so happy for him that he managed to achieve that.

Wenger wouldn't want to be Ranieri right now....
True, Wenger would want to win C.L more than Premiership, but Ranieri hasn't won the C.L yet. If he was Ranieri then there would still be a chance of finishing the season with nothing.

I don't think you get the point mate. What he means to say is that Ranieri still has the opportunity to win the CL, whereas Wenger no longer has. It's not a dig at you or Arsenal =;
 
How comes earlier in the thread all the arsenal fans are sayin oh yeh the CL doesnt choose the best team in europe. I bet if they had won the CL they would say oh we're the best in europe, but now theyre out theyre acting as if the CL means nothin, BOLLOCKS!

We are not acting as if the CL means Bollocks , on-one has said that, its the Premier European competition. I would love us to win the CL and the defeat last week still hurts.

All you did was beat us in the quarters, big deal!! There is a long way to go my friend...
 
Time is on Chelsea's hand,they now have band of good players,and they most importaintly,they have billions barrels of cash,so they will difinitely get a greater results in the coming seasons.meantime does any kind soul out there can tell me how to quote(not the whole reply but a sentence...) :mrgreen: ,i just couldn't make it out.poor me :oops: .

how many of you think Samuel (Roma) will come to Chelsea in the coming season? I think if he come, he can really help on defence. He's classy!!
 
Our defence is the best in the league, 18 clean sheets, we have the highest. So, we dont need another defender. Maybe a backup. Gallas and Terry are ace.

When have i ever once said we will win it? And if or when i have i have only said it as a support for my team showing we , the fans, have confidence in them. (not that players will ever read this forum) i know there is a long way to go, the only reason i was pissed off is the way people are dissing the champs league
 
Yes, obviously, if these teams beat the others, it has to be a better semi final than a for example, Arsenal v Real Madrid, correct? Because if these teams can beat htem WHEN IT MATTERS, then it should be a more intising semi final. Face it the rest of you, the teams that got through, were better over the two legs, so simply, the champions league, keeps gettin better, keeping the best teams in, and the not so good teams out. Simple as that.

FFS Hany many times do I have to say that Chelsea deserved to go through??

Monaco also deserved it, as did Depor. Lyon are shit compared to the other 8 teams that were left so they don't count.

I have never dissed the CL, its the trophy I want us to win most. So good luck in the semis. \:D/
