I see what you mean Revan. But the point is that he's right. Who cares if he's jealous. Everyone is jealous of Chelsea. You'd be a liar if you said you arent.
Theres nothing wrong with being jealous. People become jealous because they see others who have something that they dont. And that happens to everyone. I'm sure Chelsea fans were jealous when they saw Gerrard lift up the European Cup for Liverpool.

Well i guess that is true.
I just always see other people talking about Chelsea through a shield of jealousy..

Chelsea target Essien 'on strike'

MICHAEL ESSIEN FACTFILE
Michael Essien
Nationality: Ghanaian
Age: 22
Place of birth Accra, Ghana
Position: Right-footed midfielder
Clubs: Bastia (2000-2003), Lyon (2003- )
Michael Essien has told Lyon he will not play for them again as he continues to push for a move to Chelsea.

Lyon have rejected a £21m Chelsea bid, and Essien has taken drastic action in a bid to force the club's hand before the end of the transfer window.

"From now on I am playing with the junior players and I will not take part in any first-team matches for them," the 22-year-old told the Daily Mirror.

"I feel very let down by Lyon. I cannot understand why they've acted this way."

In one of the summer's longest-running transfer sagas, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has taken an uncomprimising stance in the face of prolonged Chelsea interest.

Lyon stand firm over Essien fee

The French club are holding out for £32m fee as well as a player in exchange for the Ghanaian midfielder who still has three years on his contract.

Essien has missed Lyon's first two matches of the season, and has already voiced his desire to move to Stamford Bridge.

ve no desire to play for anyone else but Chelsea

The continued refusal of Lyon to agree a fee with Chelsea has frustrated Essien, and he made his feelings clear.

"The club know I want to leave and I have kept them informed at every stage - but they are behaving very badly over this," added Essien.

"I have made it clear to them I will not play for them again.

Man Utd and Arsenal 'in for Essien'

"I have heard the Lyon president saying other clubs from the Premiership are interested in buying me - including Arsenal and Manchester United - but I've no desire to play for anyone else but Chelsea.

"I will not go to another club, even Real Madrid. Chelsea want me and I want to play for them, that is why I am so disappointed with the situation.

"They are telling me one thing and doing another and that is not healthy for me, the manager of Lyon or the rest of the squad. The sooner Lyon resolve this, the better."

How dramatic and passionate :p

This is why I was saying eariler when we argued that you cant take his word when he says anything. But you kept believing all the speculation.

Essien and Obi Mikel appear to have gone to the same school of saying what you mean to the media :p

But seriously, Lyon should let him go. He wants it, Chelsea wants it, and he's not going to play well if he's incredibly unhappy in France. Chelsea should raise the bid by 5 mil and call it a day. Its getting boring.

A kinda holding midfielder that can attack at times. A bit like Vieira but probably not as good at defending.

I think Essien staying at Lyon for one more season is best for everyone.

Only for the teams that play Chelsea :)

No point in him staying at Lyon if he wants to leave and refuses to play, I wonder if he still gets wages if he doesnt train/play.

Its better for Chelsea than anyone else. Why risk £35million plus a player so someone who isnt a proven player, doesnt have experience and hasnt played in the Premiership?
If Chelsea let him stay for one more season, they get a chance to how good Essien really is. Who knows, what if his next season at Lyon turns out bad? That could then tell Chelsea that its not worth buying him. And if he plays well then great cuz Lyon have said that they want Essien for atleast one more season next season, they wont be as desperate to hold onn to him. Plus Chelsea might get him for cheaper too cuz another season could help everyone value the player better cuz he's definately not worth £35million.

Even i hope he stays at Lyon for another season, so that other Chelsea men dont lose out on their place, if even for one more season.

yes I did. You probably didn't understand what I meant. :S
Read carefully now. You said that Chelsea have a different price from the rest of the teams. What I said has nothing to do with this issue cuz I'm saying that Chelsea should forget about Essien for one more season.

He is not worth 35M, but everyone that is selling to chelsea will always get more than what he is really worth.

This is what I meant. And you talked about it.
