Im starting to get a bit frustrated with the lack of invention from most people now. It seems as though everyone has to pass the ball forwards. Maybe its just me but I like to play nice atttractive passing football, not chip thru ball down the wings or thru the middle.

is this a download via psn or do you select through the game. im wondering cos a ps3 user said they had it but i cant see it in the store

The game automatically downloads the update when you launch it.

I was having problems finding it yesterday because it wasn't available in the store or through the game options, so I just rebooted the PS3 and relaunched the game. As soon as the PlayStation 3 logo showed up I was asked to update the game.

Anyone having problems getting a connection to the EA servers for a game (on PS3)?

The furthest I've managed to get is the lobby where a list of available games is, but as soon as I try to connect to one, I lose my connection to EA servers.

Half the time, I can't even get a connection to the EA server in the first place.

My internet connection is otherwise fine, no problem whatsoever, so are the EA severs really flakey? Or is my 1mbit connection too slow?

Earlier on tonight:

Portugal 2-4 Argentina

That was a great match :) I was Crespo and scored a beautiful deflected goal in Extra Time in the 100th minute! Hopeful shot from the edge of the area came off a defenders chest and into the far corner, wrong footing the goalie! Looked brilliant.

I hope they add the option to do ranked BAP matches. I also hope they add the option to lock a room to a certain amount of players i.e. 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 etc

Hello lads - I will be on sunday - we should make a time when alot of us are on
- then we can get a good few games in.

I f we can get ten of us - then all the better.

Anyway if people are on around sunday afternoon evening - I should be around.

this has re-newed my fifa interest and i should be online this weekend. only prob is finding good people to play. ive had atleast 4 morons singing souljah boy or some other junk and screaming all the time.

It was 3-4 Tim. I scored in the last min. I played shite though, I think I'm gonna have to practise a bit in the training mode I've never used the be a pro cam before and it's tough.

You know you don't have to use pro-cam?

I finally got a few 5v5 matches in last night and the game is so good!Some of the play and goals (and misses) were so realistic. EA really have managed to capture football in a console in a way I've never seen before. Truly next-gen.

Despite the initial connection problems, once I finally got into playing some matches, no lag whatsoever. Great work, EA.

Only problem is it's so damn addictive.

when will they do full 10v10 online? in the next patch or the next fifa game? this mode i amazing. RIP pro evo you had your days now its fifa's turn

I played as Gerrard yesterday in a holding role for England at it was amazing, i just sat in front of the defence, broke up play and rarely went forward

i think we need to sort out were we all play so we can become a top team on it :)

Striker or defensive mid for me

I like to hold the ball up and play little first time passes forwards and backwards. Im like AMF because I owned with Obi Mikel for Nigeria ;)

They need an option to disable "ANY" to stop people fannying around all over the pitch with different players.

Would be nice to play a match where some of the others players, as soon as they receive the ball, don't just charge in straight line towards the opposition goal.

Also, it it just me that finds it even more unresponsive in 5v5. You can see someone passing to you and immediately press lob pass as soon as the ball has left their foot, yet by the time it's reached you, your player still delays for about 1 second before swinging his leg. How much time does he need? Do we have to send him a postcard to let him know we would like to swing his leg sometime within the next week?

No worries, just thought you didnt want to add me when I saw this morning!! :-)

Anyway, played this for the first time last night and it was superb. I really like to play realistic, so if I was a DM, I was holding back etc. Really peed me off at times that when I was playing as Arsenal, I liked to be Fabregas a run midfield, but the person playing Gilberto had no regard for tactics and was just steaming forward, meaning I had to hang back and hold all the time.

When you get a decent crowd though and everyone sticks to their roles its fab! Whilst playing last night though, the lag for me was awful and my last game, I was Nani for ManUre and every time I got the ball I either lost it cheaply, or got tackled and everyone was moaning at me - that really pissed me off, so I called that a night.

Then this morning, I realised I was downloading last night when I was playing it - DOH! Tried again this morning and it is really dead smooth - I am so impressed that EA have pulled this off - 10 people online at once, with chat and CPU players.... very impressive!

Anyway, hope to catch some of you online tonight and play some proper footie!!

I agree with everyone who says the "Any" options shouldnt be there

who cares if the CPU is shit its the same for both sides

Yeah its the 360 version we are all on. We actually had 6 forum members online playing last night so we went 3 on 3 and it worked a treat, well it worked a treat for my team ;)

What an awesome game mode, well done EA - proper good laugh.

The only thing that bothers me (apart from no leagues) is the amount of times people keep pausing the game.

Other than that its great fun.

well if there is a selective few doing a private lockin, then we should get our own team and play them (if were not elite enough :lmao:)
