We need a happy medium, its unfair to have someone at the back because its a boring and unspectacular role to play. I think a DM like becanes who sits back all the time is the only option to sort alot of the AI fuck ups out

Know exactly what you mean - was fun, but I wasnt unhappy to call it a day, becomes a bit of a chore 3 v 3.

Think when its 5 v 5 someone normally goes at the back - I wouldnt mind the role myself, but the 1 and only time I played there, I was worse than the AI and we lost 5-0!!!

I think the team should decide where they want their people. If they want someone back in defense (Bitter) or DM (CW, myself) then that's cool. If they don't put someone back there, then they pay the price of have AI defenders. Team decision. Also I think the teams are split pretty evenly to provide support in the back. CW and myself are on different teams and we usually try to patrol the back as much as we can. And there are also other midfielders that backtrack. So that right there should solve the problem somewhat. But it won't be completely solved until there is 10 v 10. And that will create other problems.

Because I'm sheeeeeeeeeeeeite at FIFA, especially when I'm one player, and I would have to pack my bags and leave Evo-Web after losing every single game I'm involved in. :)

It's not much fun when that happens - believe me, I have a 63-year-old dad who swears his buttons have been altered every night, begging for a game. It drains you in the end, you have him on your team and you lose, you play him and you win 5-0. I wouldn't want to do that to anybody (well I do it to the people I have to play in the league but then they only have to play me twice in a season ;)).

we got done 3 times by AI mistakes, you can argue that AI problems are caused by the humans pressuring and putting them out of position, or calling for a pass when there is clearing a player in between you and the ball or simply not giving the AI an option to pass to by not being in a position for a pass

BUT

when the AI turns away and stares at the crowd or completley runs in the opposite direction of the ball, when it is upto him to get it with him being the nearest man

then that does put a dampner on it

obviously the more humans the better, but what i find strange is the big difference between 3-3 and 4-4

3-3 makes it much more hard work, with more mistakes than 4-4 and with only one player extra not sure how this really matters

but there is deffo something wrong with the balance of the team when playing 3-3, unless it is us humans who are not controlling the AI's properly

what i do believe is, if you can get the right lads who play as a team and know how each other plays, it should all click into place, this does happen in some games and it works a treat

other times, it can be so scrappy you get drawn into your own battle and lose position and this can alter the balance of the team

easily done and allot of discipline needed

try adding your xbox 360's ip to the dmz zone, this should allow all traffic to pass through the xbox360, giving you an open nat

I think people take turns as a DC and they're the only ones in charge of asking players to press for the ball. I think a lot of the time, all of the human players are holding the press button and it's resulting in the CPU being all over the show.

Nobody wants to be a DC ... apart from Bitter maybe, but if we all take turns, then it's fair enough, right?

The CPU holding onto the ball and spinning on the spot, even when one of us is in space and asking for a pass, pisses me right off. It was pissing Coopz off last night too, first time I've heard Coopz pissed off :shock: There's nothing we can do about that, I've said before that I think the online AI doesn't play at Pro level. I refuse to believe that Coopz and Tim and sprint onto the DC holding onto the ball and take it off them so easily when they play against the CPU on Pro. That happens far too often when playing 5v5 and it's annoying to lose a goal because of the amateur online AI.

You always seem to shy away from the team games for some reason when you say you enjoy playing them

yea jack

no-one cares if you mess a pass up, get caught in possession

it's all about the fun side and we do get some good games, even with every player making a mistake

we all do it, it's when you play a decent pass or make a good tackle that makes up for it

give it a go and play it simple you will be good at that

can even use tele cam or whatever your used to in single player

the more you play the more you will get used to it

I would genuinely like to play it but as I say I am nowhere near the level of the regulars and I'd hate to stuff it up for everyone. It's supposed to be fun and it's not fun if one guy is always screwing up your chances of winning, and I say that from experience.

I will join in with it when you can start your own clubs and play in competitions etc... You won't be able to keep me away.

Really mate, nobody cares if you're not the best in the world. My league position shows I'm far from the best but who cares? Kevano is a shit left back but he still plays :)

Trust me, nobody would complain about someone letting the team down. And if they do, then they're out of order.

I'm dying to play with you guys, but my XB died ELEVEN DAYS AFTER I bought Fifa 08.

I'm playing on my father's XB (he uses his XB like 10 times a year, for Tiger Woods, or something with his grandkids) and, though he's not yet noticed I "borrowed" his XB, he doesn't have XBL, so no online until mine arrives back from wherever it is they repair XBs...

The first 2 games I played last night I owned at left back. I tackled you all the time, won almost every header AND skinned you with Ben THATCHER. The rest of the night I was txting and not looking at the screen. Infact I belive i won 2 clearances not looking at the screen and just hammering Shoot whilst i was txting :)
