Battlefield : Bad Company Series

The dog tags are different because they were carried over from the demo to the full game, so the only one on that is the ones you've had in the full game.
 
I read the quick ways are:

Assault - Drop ammo and get kills
Medic - Revive and heal players
Engineer - Repair and destroy vehicles
Recon - Spot targets and get marksman points for long range head shots

The other way for all classes.


Get assist or avenge kills.

Kill someone enough without them killing you to make them your nemesis

Aim at a target like A/B in rush and hit select/back to order your squad mates to attack/defend them. If you're attacking and give the order and someone plants a bomb after that you get points. The same for defending if someone disarms the bomb after you give the order.

It doesn't work if they were already planting/disarming the bomb and they have to do it all before the flashing icon over A/B stops.

Also if you are in a squad and do any of the above happens in combination with a squad mate you get an added bonus.



If you play too badly and ignore the objectives or kill yourself a lot you can get this message:

I was stuck at 190 for a while... I'm now at 197. I've not really gone out of my way to gain any points. I play as recon mostly and just spot people, call in mortar strikes and sniper the defending team as much as possible. when defending I play as engineer or medic and try to keep tanks away and heal my team.

I don't think I've done anything special to get a score of 197.
 
I completed the medic. I don't see myself enjoying the recon class and I keep assault for later. So I'm starting engineer now.
I had an amazing session where I didn't die on the desert map. I repaired our tank a million times ! That was crazy. I got 2500 points easy.

If we all do squad deathematch and don't squad up before the game - we just allow 1 of us to join the map and then we join him via the in game 'play with friends' menu. It usually outs you on opposites sides so you can do it that way easier than in the other modes.

Of course the cheat way is 4 vs 4 rush and you do the join friend thing and then run off and hide somewhere as a lot of people seem to be doing.

With the matchups, are we matched with similar skill levels or ranks?

I seem to always be playing against rank 20s and 25s and I'm only a measly rank 4 (:CRY:), which seems a little unfair as they have all these extra perks and guns. Or is this just because I'm joining Rad and tobi who are ranked in the teens?
 
I'm not sure but I've been bunched in with rank 20's since day 1. sod law as well is that most of the time it's the OPPOSITE team that all the rank 20 guys and I'm on a side full of 1's and 2's

Its linear, repetitive, short and with a predictable, weak story. So its pretty much 95% the same as most 'modern combat' FPS games. I found it slightly more enjoyable in single player compared to Modern Warfare 2 but thats hardly saying much as their both pretty crap in that department. The meat of the game is in the multi player. I hope EA's Medal of Honor coming out in Autumn has a decent single player storyline.
 
Its not that hard to do per se, I unlocked all the Engineer weapons a few days ago.

THIS! I just levelled up to get my revive thingies - but bloody hell its now hard to find people close enough to revive if you are not playing with friends.

Simply the worst Medic ever! I always spawned were Grim was, and sure enough got shot, but the clown never revived me once!

Playing online for the first time last night, it's a fooking disaster, why does no one talk in these games anymore? I havent played many shooters online in ages, but in Rainbow you were always saying, they are on the right etc, this, no one speaks, and the squad me and Grim were in were fucking awful, you spawn back at the main point, they jump in the tanks, or on the quad and just fuck off the assclowns. What's the fucking point, this game is not a free for all, it's squad based, you get points for doing the objectives.

Snipers, I mean how da fuck are you ever going to see them bastards in all their camo gear? Played some of the single player after. Thinking it's gotten too much like CoD really. Clear an area and then trip the next wave of enemies. Honestly it that the best way to do it? Also think there is more funneling in this game than the last too.

I was playing rush last night and the team we were up against freaking owned us on a level. It was that grassy one with the first 2 bombs on an island.

Well the attackers all piled into a chopper... flew over us... everyone but the pilot jumped out and as 90% of our team were stupid bastards who were trying to rush the defenders and spawn camp them our entire base was left to me and maybe 2 other people.

Safe to say they planted both bombs, the people spawning on the team mates out numbered us. By the time we respawn the bombs were exploding, the chopper came down, everyone jumped in and flew off to the next 2 bombs. We all had to scramble to find something to get to the next island and before we even got halfwy they had more bombs planted on A and B. Repeat again to the last 2 bombs and again chopper drops guys.... plant... 3 of us trying to defend and they win.



I have no idea what everyone on our team was doing after the first 2 bombs went - they should have just hit 'suicide' to respawn and help but i bet the bastards were thinking about their K/D record and stats too much and were all running across the map.
 
i've had a few games where my team and squad are just stupid, but i've also had quite a few where they've been pretty good as well. it's definitely better when i've played with jay and tuta.
 
I got obsessed with trying to take down that bloody chopper in that game Rad, I got carried away, kept on dying.

Regarding the Medic, once you unlock the M60 you'll be mowing down enemies for fun.

Yup, but it's having the dedication to stick with the Medic class and trying to unlock that gun in the first place. Takes ages, no doubt.

I've currently got 0 points as Medic. :LOL:

I usually play as Engineer, but switched to Recon a few nights ago and finally mastered the rifle with bullet drop from huge distances away. Brilliantly satisfying.
