Arsenal Thread

That's a bit more like it, we should have done that in the first match though.

Now we have Man United away after the Barca game

this is what it is all about though I suppose :DD

but bring on Sunderland 1st :SMUG: It`s good for Bendtner to get a hat-trick. I assume Nasri, Jack were brought in for fans to see them in the flesh? Clichy`s goal was great to see not many from him .

Good result. Nice hattrick for Nick to gain confidence, we will need him to score at Camp Nou. I was thinking maybe we should play Gibbs in front of Clichy, the kid has great crossing to serve Nick and stamina to detain Alves.

Wenger will play Arshavin there...wait... that's not good defensive wise.
Like Bendtner needed more confidence. jk. you can see that confidence is one of his strenghs.

I just cant beleve this!!!
How much more times the refs will fuck our games!!!!!
I am just furious!!!!!

Sorry 4 my language!!!

Ripped off again, 2 points that will never come back.

The penalty on Arshavin wasn't easy to notice if you're the referee's place, but it definitely made Arshavin miss. A big guy pushing a small man like Arshavin with BOTH hands on his back. No, actually it was indeed scandalous. Both this AND the offside.

Very happy with Sczezny's performance though. Kos was very nervous with the ball at his feet and almost gave away a goal, but other than that he was very good in the physical battle, Gyan couldn't get near the ball at times.

Oh, well. We deserved better. And we will get better results when we get rid of Diabolical and Denilson for good.

Did they play 2 men down then? It's always harder that way :D

It's funny to see United fans complaining about referees now, when their goal was scored by a guy who should've gotten a 3 match ban.

:)) Referee's Eh?

To be fair, I'm sooooo sick of referees being the talking point week in, week out. Just boring after a while. Need technology. Sigh.

:)) Referee's Eh?

Some referees, I tell ya!
The curious thing is that Arsenal is the only title contender which is ripped off at home. Chelsea and United get decisions going their way when they play at home
That penalty on Zhirkov was very debatable, today's one on Arshavin was much clearer, let alone the offside. As for United, when they need a result at OT you get "Fergie time", something that could amount up to 7 minutes injury time.

I'm just babbling on at this point, still a mix of anger at referees and frustration with my own team's performance. Arsenal was shockingly casual until the hour mark, when something clicked and they realised some effort was needed to get a result. Diaby at some point was walking with the ball inside the box, WALKING! Who am I fooling here? I don't expect to defeat a Premier League side when we field Denilson and Diaby together.

[/rant]
nuff said.

we were poor, mate. no excuses. very poor. and it was predictable that we wouldn't win. you're right, when i saw diaby and denilson on the pitch i knew we would strugle.
nasri was the only one with ideas. but them two were horrible. at least denilson defended but diaby didn't contribute with nothing.
i don't want to fuel jonneymendoza, but it was down to bad manager decisions. jack can't play alone in the midfield and nasri is very bright at that wide right position.
oh well. we need to accept that we do not have what it takes.
wenger should have cleaned the team out, because when the injuries come we are left butt naked relying on average players. that's the feeling i got from this match we were average because the central "engine" of the team we're just walking the pig in the park.

rant not over. :P

Heh, I remember beboq having a jibe at us for being annoyed at Atkinson after the Chelsea game.

Well now he knows how we felt!

 Well, I think the ref in the center was pretty fair! , but the side line was napping not to see Bramble holding or the falling down push as he crashed into the pitch pish style or the offsides that looked onside for Arshavin . I`m more bother how bendtner couldn`t finish, way too many chances . He is not Arsenal material enough said sorry for those who fancy him. He wasn`t playing Orient express ,but still needs to be loan out to convince the world what I know already. Henry n Bergkamp would have had hat-tricks a piece . Now, we just need to continue grinding out results and hope MUTD concentrates on CL and leave us FA Cup n League :COAT:

btw No worry lads 3pts behind a slow crawl to the top enough not to feel the pressure. We couldn`t handle being on top for 3 month we just need to get their by 3 weeks left of the season me think. C`mon Arsenal!

Don't worry lads, Barcelona next. :))

So what's the expected line-up for that?

We're expecting Fabregas and Song to be back, both of them, so we can be spared of Diabolical and Denialson.

Still, neither Walcott or RVP. So, Arshavin and Bendtner are expected. Sagna will be back.

Personally I think it doesn't matter too much the lineup, more the attitude. If we play like yesterday, I predict a mauling, 4-1 like last year's.

OMG if we would win this game against Sunderland and then next one we would be at the top!!!

Because Man Utd have lost again!!!

Im DAMN TIRED of our missed opportunity those kids doesnt have the heart to win at all cost it seem... We're still in a good position since Man U lost but geez we need to win those games against squad like stoke and sunderland... Now the title is in our hand like it was 2-3 years ago...this time around we have a mature and old enough squad to ensure that we win this title otherwize it will demonstrate that we need to change our squad since we have talented players but with no mental strenght to win a god damn title...

More good news which didn't occur to me til today for you guys: United will be without Park, Valencia and Nani for the FA cup match. And the way to play Arsenal is to use width.

I know you guys have some injuries too at the moment, so won't be vintage stuff, but we're pulling an Arsenal right now (get to turn of year, lose half the first team and drop points).

It's a matter of coping with the insane pressure Barcelona puts.
Diaby's form is better and he's likely to start, but he gives the ball away too easy, he was crap last year. Play Denilson and we can expect a lot of backward pass to Szczesny. Another option would be Rosicky, as he can swing past the pressure and take the ball forward, but I can't see Wenger starting him.

On other note, RVP fit? :CONFUSE:

ding_dong diaby or puppy chow denilson will partner with jack. I prefer cesc holding with jack and give ramsey behind GOOD LORD beny lol

Gutted for Arsenal.
Yes it was not an off-side and yes was Bramble did was definitely a penalty.

But Arsenal screwed up, missed chances, had bad luck and Mignolet was great...as much as i prefer Arsenal..i'm pretty sure Man Utd would have won this match.
