Since i watched MOTD,i obviuously did not see Hery's tackle. Cesc definitely should have got a red card for his tackle however. There is no discussion possible about that.
Beautiful centre from Song and Fabianski man of the match.
I doubt many people are discussing about Fabs tackle whether it was fair or not. It was late and dangerous and should have been a red.
But there has been a spate of bad tackles recently and because everybody sees Arsene complaining the most about them (because his players keep on getting injured by them) then they are having a field day with Wilsheres tackle the other week and now Fabs.
The thing is late tack$les do happen. But there are certain players where they make their living from going in hard and not thinking of the concequences. Karl Henry is one of those. I think he has had about 3-4 incidences already this season when he could have easily done a great deal of damage. So if they were going to show one tackle, I feel it should have been Karls because he is a persistant perpetrator of the bad late tackle.
If they are going to make an issue of Fabs challenge (which they should do) then it is only right that they show other bad challenges, especially from the other team.
There needs to be some responsibility from broadcastors to show an even representation. Otherwise people are living off of half truths.
At the moment their are alot of people saying how hypocritical Arsene and Arsenal are? when they complain and their own players make those challenges. So reporters are highlighting even more situations where it can make out, how much of a hypocrite Arsenal are.
When in fact if you look at it, we were complaining about teams committing recklass tackles concentrated on Arsenal. 3 bad breaks in 3 years from bad challenges shows why we were complaining. It is the consistant bad tacklers that need to be shown in their true colours and action must be taken against ALL bad and late tackles, to stop people going for those challenges that may injure people.
Arsenal in the rare occasion they make a bad challenge (bad late, career threatening) are usually very sorry and do not condone it and don't try to justify it. Compare that to other managers and teams who rely on playing 'Tough'.
Mick McCarthys reaction and implying that Arsenal should stop moaning about bad challenges is stupid. Like he was taking the moral highground is ridiculous, when he has a thug on his team.
Late challenges are mistakes every player does them, they are stupid and put players careers at stake. But one horrible challenge a season pretty much shows it was an accident. When you do challenges like that every other week, then it is less of an accident in my opinion.
Anyway, just frustrating to not get the whole picture on the situation.
By the way I think Woles are playing good football and deserve to be higher up the league. They don't need to resort to playing to hard etc.
