Arsenal Thread

Pretty important half for Arsenal this. (am writing at half time). Shownnothing in the first, but still 45 minutes to prove title creds.

Well played Arsenal!

Good second half performance, didn't really get out the blocks in the first but you got the result you wanted.

Manutd vs Arsenal innit. 3 goals 1 from us to go on top Karma! anyhoot Over the moon result! can`t wait to hear what they say on MOTD2 :BOP:

:TTTH:the games 90 min mate. No shots on target in second half. Still need a couple new signnigs but its nice to win a 'big match'

:D

You won because I said that, I swear.

All it takes is a little bit of good fortune and some magic from the brilliant little Russian...

Nasri really impressed me today as well, such a tidy player, hugely talented, good to see he's back in fitness after the horrible leg break.

does anyone else find this pic disturbing ....

Yeah, that pic reminds me of school ground football. Arsene, the gym teacher says "Nice one kiddo!"

Fantastic result and fantastic strike by our Russian genius. We're back in the game with this, but still have a lot to improve. Without RVP, Arshavin seems our only real option to offer some danger, since he's the only striker who actually shoots it on goal!

Need a good tall CF on loan in Jan! And a sidekick for Alex Song wouldn't hurt us.

Excellent weekend for us :)

The first half performance worried me, we CANNOT afford to do that again. A better team than Liverpool (lets face it, there are plenty better!) would have punished us more.

The real test is to go to Burnley on Wednesday and get 3 points otherwise yesterday will be a waste.....come on boys.

Arshavin is such a match winner. He has played twice for us at Anfield, not really done much in either game apart from scoring 5 goals, 3 of which were belters!! :)

Our defence looks very suspect, Liverpool ripped us apart so easily in the first half. If Torres was on form, they would have been 2-0 up easily at half time. Also if the penalty was given (Which it should have been, but I dont care because they robbed us in the champions league a couple of seasons ago ;)) ) they would have been 3-0 up.

So Happy we won, but it glosses over so many problems that we have at the moment, most of them stem from the abundance of injuries we have , but it needs to be addressed.

Has anybody seen our fixtures at the end of January early Feb?! I think it goes something like;

Aston Villa Away
Man United Home
Chelsea Away
Liverpool Home

All in a row!, that is fucking tough!!!

Injuries aside, I don't think we are that far away. Although I have been saying for years we will never win the league with the keepers we have and I still stand by that :(

you lot played really well in the second half yesterday against a fully strenghed Liverpool team, Arshavin is a truly amazing player, most strikers wouldnt of even thought about shooting from that angle, and with no back lift, If we dont win the league then I hope you lot do, you deserve it tbh.

lol nah mate i mean it, it would of been better for us if liverpool had won but i was happy you lot did

Valencia just bought rubin kazan Striker Dominguez...Maybe that means they will let david villa leave for Arsenal in january??? =p aahah that would be a dream come true to me ahah lets hope...?

Denilson and Traore out for Burnley :CURSE: so who will play on the left?
Clichy, Gibbs and Traore are all injured, I hope Eboue will fill this position and not Silvestre.
