Arsenal Thread

That's admitting guilt, maybe after he has been banned he may come out with some convoluted apology but he will be advised very strongly, to never say he did it on purpose...
It doesnt matter if it was on purpose or not. saying sorry doesnt ALWAYS mean your guilty. it just means you made a mistake/accident and in this case he did something to hurt van perise and there is no denying that.

an apology would probably make Ade look less like a fucking cunt.

Taylor broke Eduardo's legs and yet he had the balls to say sorry.

That's what I meant by convoluted Jonney, he won't come out and say I did it. He will apologise though in some way... ;)

The celebration on the other hand, in my view, is a storm in a tea cup. A touch distasteful? Sure, but it wasn't like he gave the away end the finger. Henry made an almost identical celebration after scoring 'that goal' against Sp*rs some years ago, so it's a bit rich for Arsenal fans to condemn Adebayor for the same thing. It happens all the time, and is in truth part of the great heroes and villains pantomime we all (perhaps secretly) love so much.

am I missing something...Did Henry play for Spurs? When Ronaldo shh! the fans at Highbury on that cold night in Feb. that is cruel but imo he had every right. Ade was stupid just like when he refused to step off the pitch when handed the red card vs Chels in the final. Nothing new to us his cuntactics hasn`t changed

No, but that's hardly the point is it? If you're talking on the grounds of away fans incitement then this is identical.

For reference, I'm talking about this one: YouTube - Thierry Henry

I think it's fair to say we all loved that, myself included. Shoe's on the other foot now, and yeah it sucks, but it's part of the game in my book. We can say Ade's a cunt because we don't like him now but I personally don't think that celebration is worthy of punishment.

The stamp(s) on the other hand...

Yeah I agree. Celebrating to the other fans is fair game, especially when they are getting stick. But I also agree that this was a bit different than the Henry one, its hard to call. But I wouldn't complain if he got banned for it :DD

It is definately the kick in the head and the tackle on Fab that should get lengthy bans. Just the kick to the face he should get a decent amount of games out, as it was extrememly violent conduct! There is no doubt it was intentional. He said he was going for the ball, when the ball was nowhere to be seen?!

The weekend was dissapointing but I think we will still have a good season and the team will get back to winning.

I am almost certain aswell that Adebayor will show his true colours to the City fans and at some point he will go through the same thing he did with us. He is just that kind of player......a CUNT! :DD

Hopefully when they come to the Emirates we are stronger and give them a hiding and I hope Adebayor is on the pitch for that.

Also to Blaccat, you keep going on about Adebayor. But I am EXTREMELY happy that we don't have that wanker on our team any more. Not everything is about just the playing of football, it is attitude and how he interacts with the team aswell.

He is definately not as good as you keep making out he is and he will always have bad patches and I am sure when it happens, then he will sulk and become a dick again.

Do you ever think fans look back at footage of themselves at games and think about how they look like a bunch of savage animals. :D

Did anyone see Turner score against Hull, he instinctively ran towards the Hull Fans at the same end where he scored, and then realised he made a mistake and apologised to the fans...:D However, I dont think Adebayor can use that as an excuse when your run the whole length of the pitch :D

The fans should take some blame in the whole situation I think. They were giving him shit all game, calling him every name under the sun and he was already wound up on the day from being booed while he was an Arsenal player and the fans actively trying to get him sold. You can't scream at someone all the time and then react like that when he does a little knee slide in front of you! Don't give it if you cant take it back lads!!

It wasn't just Ade who was being aggresive though, RvP had just tried to take him out when he raked him and when he went on that brilliant run in the 2nd half Bendtner tried to nail him and not for the first time. The whole match was heated and I hope Adebayor gets a ban because he deserves one for the rake, but he wasn't alone in being guilty.

Adebayor epitomizes everything that is wrong with football today.

Match going, abuse spouting fans are cunts anyway. How they get away with some of the abuse they give out and the horrid songs they sing is beyond me. They're not even there to watch the football.

So what if the fans crucify you and abuse you during a game? you should be "above" all that and ignore it. Thierry Henry and sol cambell has been abused alot worse in away matches (champions league )when he was at arsenal.

Heck wasnt Wenger abused heavily when he stood right next to the United fans at old trafford? did he react like a child? Nope. he kept his calm and composure and Had Adebaoyr did the same, he would of got the last laugh on arsenal and their fans but instead he made himself look like a complete headless chicken.

I heard its much worse in italy though.

on a side note, Look how mature Toure was on the day. Even bellamy kept his head up! Adebaoyr ruined what should have been a perfect day for Man city. instead people will talk about what a cunt Adebayor is.

i can imagine it now in the dressing room in man city with toure saying "wtf is wrong with adebayor! relax man!!

Yeah I agree he was wrong to do it but the celebration is childs play compared to the stamp etc. Others have acted better in similar circumstances but Ade was wound up and he did it. The fans who were pouring down and injured that steward didnt need to react how they did to his knee slide, it's just the same.

And he didnt make himself look like 'a complete headless chicken' either, he knew exactly what he was doing.

Please!...Ade has been abused even from our fans when he was a gunner.Me personally I dont want Ade to be banned Robin was not injured.I just think Ade is a daft cunt Cheers for the memory of Henry ;)

fucking brilliant on the Eduardo front, common sense has prevailed!

Hopefully they do something against divers and bring is some legislation and not just start banning people whenever they feel like it!

Has to start somewhere, but they have no balls in FIFA, cheating needs to be punished in a big way from the top down the spineless fecks...

The best way to start it is during pre season. They should come up with a set of rules and punishments and work it out properly. They need to get the infrastructure in place to deal with all of the different incidents and to make it fair and punishments go right across the board.

The worst way to start it, is to suddenly pick a player that dives and then punish them (try to) when they haven't been warned of how that action will be punished. Then say that they will not do it to every player that also is found to dive. Its shoddy and they rightly so, have egg on their faces. Because it was ridiculous!

There wasn't one Arsenal supporter that wouldn't have accepted the ban if it was the start of every diver getting banned. But they need to do it properly.

I am happy that he hasn't been banned because the whole thing was stupid and unprofessional.

Agreed. Hopefully they'll start with Eduardo.....

...Oh wait a minute!!

Class from Adebayor, those Arsenal fans are a disgrace, almost killing a steward.

Tried very hard to get on the park to get at him eh with the 3 stewards and couple of police...............hahaha!

Fans can't take it after dishing it out.

...Oh wait a minute!!

Why should they start with anybody?! - they need to start with being professional and start properly by fining everybody for diving, not singling out one person.

From what I read the steward got hit on the head from something thrown? is that right?

If so who is to say that a Man City supporter didn't throw it at the Arsenal fans and it hit them? people are only assuming it is an Arsenal fan.

Don't get me wrong, I think the fans reactions were stupid and they shouldn't get so upset, but from what I read there is no proof that the thing thrown was from an Arsenal fan.

Just seen you are a Celtic fan, maybe you putting a post in here has something to do with Eduardo getting let off his ban? :DD

Also a bit of a cheek mentioning Arsenal fans considering your rivalry with Rangers has seen some pretty horrible things from your own fans (and vice-versa).

Anyway if you think that anything Adebayor did that day (Apart from the goal :PP) was class, you have a really messed up view.
