I can see you have a point there. But IMO the current hierarchy should be maintained for the sake of the competition's quality. Otherwise the CL group stages will turn even more into a bloody "European Congress of Football" and it may get less attention from the media and fans until the bigger clubs start facing each other in the knockout stages.

This whole idea of football inclusion is great in theory but I dont know if the CL money would be enough for them. The most important thing is to have competition within domestic football first.

If one of these smaller clubs assemble a good squad they will get through anyway. Hell, look at Shaktar in the UEFA Cup final and looking good.

IceMan - I agree, Buying players will go a long way to sorting out the problem. We need players who understand how to play their positions. Denilson hasn't got a clue, and Song in the long run isn't good enough.

For example Poulsen at Juventus will be much better as a DMF, experienced in Europe and international level and has awesome work rate. And his a player we can get. Am hearing that Real Madrid want to get rid of Robben too, His proven player we could get.

He must be expensive. Even if we could afford him, he's injury prone. At Arsenal he'd be super injury prone :SHOCK:

Karim Benzema would be a dream but I doubt very much...

But all in all you guys are right. Many of our current players are far from being ready/good enough.

You need 2 CB's, 1 DMC and maybe 1-3 more "Squad Players" and your sorted. Adebayor isn't needed and could fetch 30M which could be used on for those 3 signings.

Apperently Wenger's signing a new player in the summer. Its gonna take a while to get a permit for obvious reasons.

He is indeed. Also when he concentrates on playing football he's very good. But every match I watch he's being booked or being sent off.

Mascherano is the same with bookings but we definately know when he's playing, and so do the opposition :)
 
Exactly, you guys got the point. We need a lot more bite in midfield. But I think Mascherano and Vieira are fairplay compared to Van Bommel. Angels, if you will :LOL:

I may be exaggerating but always had the impression that Mark Van Bommel is a really really mean bloke.
 
Yep I agree get rid of adebayor and Nasri, I dont understand how anyone havent complain about nasri... hes startin everygame but hes the ultimate shit on the pitch... he never gives his 100% ,always up for the simple back pass instead of trying to create somthing, we get scored a goal and its like the end of the world and he suddently stop playing, we should get rid of him , hes not good enough period.

with nasri and adebayor we could get a 10+ 30 millions increased to our budget to get a quality DM, a world class CB, no disrepect to clinchy or gibbs but I think we should get a good defender on one of our wings cause playing with 2 offensive type WB on both wing is hurting us in a long run.
 
I can't believe you want to get rid of Nasri.

He's the only one who actually cares about playing at the moment in seems, he's definitely talented and he'd be great if he didn't have to play as the holding midfielder at the minute.
 
No way, Nasri wouldn't and shouldn't go. This is only his 1st season and he will certainly improve.

I agree with most of what Lee Dixon said in the article. Not just Vieira in the midfield, but the back four were much more solid. Adams-Keown were much more reliable than what we have now.
 
Personally, I think people like, walcott,song,a eboue,should go, and we need more veterans.... with lots of experience :)
 
Nasri was probably our most consistant player in the first half of the season. Getting rid of him is silly. He is also one of the guys who I feel does put his heart into the games.

Walcott is no where near the finished article but he is very very young still. He has the potential to be a world beater, it would be ridiculous to get rid of him.

I think we need 2 cb's two cm's and get rid of adebayor and get a new striker. Then we will be well on our way.

but I reckon he will only get two players maximum - which I think will be a huge mistake! He has already stated that he doesn't want more cm's because that would hinder the likes of denilson and Diaby progressing. That is bollucks and we need an experienced head to partner Fabregas.

The players I wouldn.t mind getting rid of are Adebayor and Diaby. All the rest I want to keep - hopefully when they have more competition for places they will be more motivated.
