Arsenal Thread

So we're almost ready to chase the title for Injury Champions League:

------------ Almunia -------------
* ----- * ----- Gallas - Clichy --
-------- * ------ Diaby ----------
Bendtner - Van Persie - Rosicky
------------ Eduardo -------------

So for Arsenal its better to start asking whos available rather then who is injured, so here it goes: whos available for the CL?

Most of our defence is out - if we get another defensive injury we are completely fucked!

Fabianski

Sagna Silvestre Toure Gibbs

Walcott Fabregas Song Nasri

Adebayor Van Persie

That might be our team on Wednesday?

Whos in the bench besides Wenger and the assistance and rosicky? (as actual substitutes)

Eduardo may be back, Bendtner, eboue, maybe someone ramsey/wilshere, but we have no other cover for defence.

It looked like we were going to have a nearly full squad at last. Then we go and have a defensive crisis  it is ridiculous!!

How bad is Djourou's injury? There's nothing on it yet. Not even in Arsenal.com

seems like all our players have legs made of glass

May have to recall Senderos if we get any further defensive setbacks.

This really is ridiculous though - the spate of injuries, the frequency of injuries and the recovery time - surely someone in the club is looking into this and a root cause.

You are not wrong mate....our injury record over the past 2 seasons is shocking. There has got to be more to it than just bad luck.

I think it is bad luck myself. Rosicky has some strange injury that nobody has seen before - thats why it is taking so long to recover and find a fix for it.

Van Persie was out for a long while. Diaby keeps getting injured and so to Nasri. But they are injury prone players. Nasri was known to have quite a few injuries before coming to us.

The rest are injuries that are unlucky. Walcotts weird dislocated arm/shoulder. Gallas had a player fall awkwardly on his leg. Alumnia had some cunts studs stuck into his ankle. Eduardo Had some cunt break his leg.

I don't think it is our medical staff to be honest. But I do agree we should stay away from buying injury prone players.

I think players are kept out a bit longer with us now, like Fabregas. Because we want them to recover better. Before, we were rushing players back after injury and they were getting injured straight away again.

Diaby is a player that needs an extra week or so than normal players, otherwise he gets injured straight away again

Sagna out, too. I can't believe that

Fabianski - Eboue, Toure, Silvestre, Gibbs - Song, Fabregas -
Walcott, Nasri - Van Persie, Adebayor

Brilliant!
Arsenal seems like FM 2009 and a Hard Intensity training, lol. LOTS of injuries.
So how is your Champions League Injuried Quarter-Finals team looking like atm? lol (sarcasm apart)

its gonna be a great semi final with the 2 best footballing teams in the league

Going to be quality, two teams going at each other. Liverpool and Chelsea showed one side of the top four, I think we'll show the real level of the PL when both teams meet :DD

Very good match tonight but we don't have to shout it from the housetops
because Villarreal wasn't quality, too.
Walcott performance was awesome, he was linchpin in the full
time he played and finally Ade and RVP scored both in one
match again. :)
Going to be a great match against United.

Btw. We are still with a clean sheet at Emirates.

I had an interesting evening. Watched the match in different seats in the upper tier. Sat next to Mark Randall and his bird. He is a proper Gooner, giving it large when we scored. A fun evening.

Can't wait for the semi-final, it should be a great couple of games. Quietly confident about them which isn't like me at all! Bring on the Mancs!
