Arsenal Thread

I don't think it was lucky at all. Over two legs Arsenal were the better side. We completely dominated the first and only had ourselves to blame for not putting the tie completely beyond Roma. Their goal last night was from awful, schoolboy defending. Again, only ourselves to blame.

The game after that was turgid, very little goal mouth action from either side, misplaced passes all over the shop. I swear there was a sequence in extra time when possession changed hands about five times in the space of two minutes. Sure they must have been tired, but both teams had completely lost their composure by the end.

I swear their violence will catch up with them! Stadio Olimpico should not be allowed to host a fucking final after the violence Man United fans suffered what is a few seasons ago? Move it to San Siro or away from Italy as it is raising doubts about Rome as a city. The Police will do fuck all when it is a last 16 game, how do you think their resources will cope with a Final when alot of fans will travel over the majority not having tickets for the game!

To be fair, that is just the British perspective. Over 50 Arsenal fans were arrested for vandalizing Roman monuments and attacking people on the streets. I blame the media for this, because it makes both sets of fans think the other is the enemy, so problems always arise.

i think it was an own goal, you could see by his celebration he didnt even want to claim it. it bounced off the one defender and was going wide then off the other one that was sliding in.

Arshavin - looked a bit Stanley Matthews didn't he? However, I thought Bendtner needed to be cut some slack. He will come good, but the boo-boo boys seem to have moved their jeering from Eboue to Bendtner.
 
he only scored 1 goal, it'll get taken away from him if the match day officials gave it to him.

he played well though from what i saw, i was watching a few games and switching between them. hes starting to gel with the team it seems.

once eduardo gets fit and you guys have a natural finisher taking all those chances that you create you guys'll be dangerous.

I think Bendtner shouldn't be booed no matter what. Did they see him playing those through balls brilliantly and still boo him?
