Arsenal Thread

reading back through the last few pages, i dont think a change of manager is required, but a change of approach. Ok i love the passing game that arsenal play, however when teams come to the emirates and set up shop with 10 / 11 men behind the ball at all times and defending their hearts out, then we need to adopt a different more direct way of playing.

I know there have been a lot of 0 - 0s but think, a team comes to arsenal to defend, if they consead a goal they dont still play a defensive game, they will look to score. Obviously this increases the chances of another arsenal goal.

I just think thats when its tough the players only know how to play wengerball and when it doesnt work, they are scared t play anything else.
 
The only way I know to open up a 11 man defense is bay passing the ball around and trying to open up gaps for final passes. This is why Argentina, Barcelona, and other successful teams in the world are considered the best, because they are the teams who do this best.

Brasil doesn't do that, at least anymore. Brazil just increase/decrease the tempo of the game with quick heel flicks, Brazilian dribble and lots of imagination (but still years away from the Original brazil).
Barcelona/Argentina hold the ball until some1 gets pissed and tries to steal it from the defender after that player some1 will follow and attack the receiving player, then the team starts the cruyff move, the triangulations, which consists in a player having the ball with himself and 2 more players froming some kind of a triangle, with those other 2 points of the triangle being clean pass targets, then the beatiful football starts (as every1 sees in barcelona) the rest is technique and pass skills.
Thats what you see in Barcelona and thats what you see in Argentina, but not in Brazil.

your manager is a complete knob, surely by mentioning potential terrorist attacks during a football match, he has just increased the possibility of it happening, Wenger should shut the hell up and stop coming out with his needless, pointless comments, that add nothing but controversy!! And if football is ever targeted, clearly Manchester United are the club most under threat, no one's gonna blow up the KC Stadium or the Hawthornes are they!!! what a french w@nker!

Why is this in the Arsenal thread? - I think most of these people have you on their ignore list anyway, so thats probably why they are not responding to you.

I can't wait to see Vela goal later. Was meant to be lovely. Hopefully we have a good chance to win the FA cup.

Youre right Bob, Vela reminded me of Romario in the Barça days. Trapped the ball with a nutmeg past the defender and threw a sweet lob over the keeper. Real classy stuff.

last time i checked we have a right to free speech in this country, plus iv made some excellent valid points! Arsenal surely have an advantage by being a round behind everyone else! its not fair!

You do have the right to free speech but not when it is negative all the time especially towards our rivals.. I've posted a few times in those threads but it is nothing compared to what you have posted... Arsenal being a round behind is good thus meaning they play more games in so many days thus meaning when the semi final comes around they could be tired...

I'll say it again.. in your posts treat others as you wish to be treated otherwise you'll surely find yourself being ignored by the majority of people on this forum and your posting privilleges taken away...

You have made some points, but wether they are valid and excellent is debatable.

And it is so unfair that we are a round behind, it makes so much difference :ROLL: if anything it is worse for us, because we have an extra game to play, in a period where we basically need to win every game to get 4th place.
