Arsenal Thread

We have Tevez, Nani, Fletcher to come in, I couldnt see us not winning without the players you listed against fulham tbh, you was just unlucky today, any other day it would have been 4-0

At the moment our midfield is not very quality like that, I think
it's better to play with Nasri as Central Midfielder at the moment
without Fabregas because Diaby and Denilson can't play the final
pass to get some more goals of our forwards. Maybe a 4-1-3-2
is the right way to score some more goals.

That's what I want to see:

------------------Almunia--------------------
---Sagna----Gallas----Toure------Clichy----
-----------------Denilson--------------------
----Eboue--------Nasri-------Arshavin------
-------Van Persie----Eduardo/Vela----------

sacking wenger is the answer

Yup lets wait untill we become a mid table team before you Wenger fanboy realize wenger has lost his magic years ago.

AT the end of the day, how bad do you want things to go further with arsenal under wenger before your blindess is cured? We have been a complete joke this season. Wenger's management skills needs to be questioned.

selling gilberto? flamini and hleb? diddnt bother fucking replacing them for fucksakes. redicolous. at this rate everton will leap ahead of us but of course u and many wenger fanboys will stand beside wenger

Do you know everything that happens behind doors? Maybe the players Arsene saw suited for his team were beyond the budget of the team, and he chose to trust the players he had been raising instead of spending money uselessly on players who would only serve as temporary replacement, or slightly better than the ones he has today. Do you believe they told Arsene "Ok, we're gonna buy you Sneijder and Joao Moutinho and Iniesta" and Wenger said "Nahhh. We don't need them, they cost too much. I'd rather play with Song and risk the success of my team and my credentials."

I reckon Nasri is a suitable replacement for Hleb. I believe Wenger believed young players like Walcott, Denilson, Song, Vela, and Diaby would step-up along with other players. Is it wrong that he had faith in his players? Even if he was wrong, he doesn't have even that much credit? It's fine when he wins cups and etc, but when he makes a mistake then get rid of him? Plus, the injury situation of Arsenal is one for the books. How can you just ignore the fact that 4-5 players who would be playing for the Starting XI are injured?

It's obvious that Arsenal is going through a transition from the glory days. It takes years to create a winning squad don't forget that.

no i dont know what happens in closed doors and its hard for anyone to do so. all we fans can do is make assumptions and opinions based on what we see on the pitch.

Arsenal have been going through a transition period for well over 3 years now. You say Hleb as been replaced by nasri, well what about flamini and gilberto?

We do have some great young players but again where is the exepreienced players to assist them in there development in their career. Like in real life, you cannot run a business full of unexperienced people who got a 1st in cambridge/oxford(top uni in the uk) university. they still need guidance to fullfill there full potential.

shit....I was writing a long response and i clicked one of the bookmark buttons up top instead of one of the tabs by accident and it all got erased...damn ittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I don't feel like rewriting the whole message. Basically, in short:

If it were up to Wenger, I think Hleb, Flamini, and maybe even Gilberto would be in this seasons roster and most likely starting XI. These players decided to leave, thus furthening the process of transitioning. Last year can be considered a pretty unlucky season, but I don't think you can say finishing 4 points behind the leader is an unsuccesful season. Just think if Wenger had those players and a chance to build up on that. Instead he had to step back and rebuild over.

Secondly, the replacements I believe are a result of finances. Nasri was the replacement for Hleb, and that was all the power the club could muster for transfer. Arsene Wenger had to make a choice and he chose offense. I'm sure Arsene would love to have a top class holding midfield on the squad. Who wouldn't. But I believe he simply couldn't afford the quality of player he wanted for the budget, so he chose to trust in his students that he had been raising for years. Maybe they didn't deliver, and maybe they weren't as good as he thought, but what other choice did he have.

About the experience. Players on the squad who I would count as used to the EPL and a possible source of leadership on the field for other players.

Almunia, Fabregas, Toure, Gallas, Rosicky, Van Persie, Eboue, Adebayor. Now these are all players who ideally would be in XI or at least forcing their way in. I don't think it would be fair to call that deprived of experienced players. But think of it like this as well. Ideally Hleb, Flamini, and Eduardo would be on that list this season as well. But they're not, and when Fabregas and Rosicky and Adebayor and Toure and etc get injured out of that list it really becomes a problem, but you cant say much about injuries can you?

OK that's not really in short. I wrote much more than I wanted to, and I dont want to elaborate more. I honestly don't see anything positive coming from a coach change for Arsenal right now.

Ok, its been said before. A manager like Wenger can't be dismissed because of one bad season. Even if we don't get a CL place. He's benn with Arsenal through thick and thin for over ten years and shouldn't go without a second chance really.

So what ?

Id love to see Rafa with injury problems Arsenal have suffered this season. What Torres does for Liverpool Arsenal have equally lost out on the same class as what Fabregas brings to the plate, not to mention all the other thosands of injuries they've had. Its about time Rafa thought instead of flapping his gums.

Look at all the injuries and suspensions we've had in defence alone, and then look at how many cleansheets we've kept.
Moaning about one Fernando Torres is just pathetic. I really do feel sorry for Arsene cuz it seems like his managing skills are questioned for their performances when people seem to over look the amount of injuries he seems to get with his key players over the last 3 years. Whenever Arsenal are on form, they've always been very hard to catch.
I just think maybe the players are pushing themselves a little too much at times cuz I don't think all these injuries could be a coincidence cuz you lot get way too many.

today our two forwards are Arshavin and Bendtner against WBA :)

Almunia - Sagna, Toure, Djourou, Clichy - Eboue, Denilson, Song,
Nasri - Bendtner, Arshavin

Let's win again :)

edit: yeees, we can score again (4.min Bendtner 0-1)
edit²: oh no (7.min Brunt 1-1)

Last season is regarded as a bad one because of bad injuries and Arsenal falling short near the end. But still we finished 4 points behind the champions. Not getting a CL place is what I call a real bad season.

About Benitez, yes, what a fuckin tit. No matter how good Torres is, he is just one player and he isn't their best and most important one.

I waited all day for this game, and match time I couldn't find a freaking stream that would work...

At least Gooners won today.

Brilliant performance today but we had to score more goals with this
huge amount of big chances. Let's hope Villa will lose against the
Citizens tomorrow and we are only 3 points away from 4th place :)

I think bendtner had the game of his life...but why does he make the impossible goals and not the easy one he should`ve gotten a hat-trick. Arshavin needs some work in the finishing department  also seems like teams dont hide behind the ball w/ us anymore I sure miss those 1 touches passes we dont see them that much everyone seems to turn around in a full-circle before laying it off

Villa lost and Everton Drew. Nearly perfect evening :DD

Lets hope Villa go into freefall and we get 4th place, which is vital for us.

tbh villa are lucky to be in the position they are in now. they had their best run of games but now its time for arsenal to have that same run and what a time to have it.
