Congrats to Dudu, what a great comeback :)

He's still out of pace for obvious reasons, so scoring twice like this and playing the way he did shows how class he is. Let's wait 4-5 weeks of regular footie and watch the man get back his best form!

I`ve said that a while back but nobody seem to notice beside a few in here. Him and wilshire are very clinical so young and has better vision in reading the game than nasri imo, he holds the ball too long I hope his vision and reading our game catches up sooner than later

Better vision than Nasri?? Srry I'd had to disagree with you there but yea Vela will be one hell of a player.

Well it was Eddys injury what I think ruined our season last year. I'm hoping that his return will inspire the entire team to play with HEART!!!! Watching Ed today was AMAZING!!! To comeback in such a short time and play like he did is miraculous. A true GOONER right there!!! My hats go off to Mr Killer Instinct
 
Vela was already a key player in Osasuna. I always rated him highly, so I couldn't ever understand why Wenger holds him back so much. He should be used more often IMO

I'd say a bit of both. However Arsenal's wingers are more midfield-orientated (e.g. Nasri). So maybe he would show up more as striker seeing how he is very offensive.
 
I've always been watching Vela with interest at how he's progressing since he was a wonderkid in an old Football Manager game :LOL:

I agree it's a shame Wenger is holding him back.

When do you lot play Liverpool again? I'm hoping it's reasonably soon, as your squad is starting to get back to tasty-ness. You have the best record against the top4 this year right?
 
We play Liverpool on the Sat 18th April.

We have won against Man U and Chelsea and Drew against Liverpool.

We Play Chelsea and Man U right after eachother in May. 9th and the 16th of May.
 
Rumours are there that Wenger has agreed to sell Ade to Barca and buy Huntelaar instead from Real Madrid. anyone happy??

Well lets see what happens....btw, will Huntelaar be a good replacement??

and wats this with Wenger signing some big names...Arshavin and now rumours abt Huntelaar. Good thing...coz thats wat we need but someone else seems to be behind this i guess. Is it Pat Rice??

Huntelaar will definitly stay at Real, he already said that
he want to enforce at Madrid. Maybe Adebayor will go in the
near future but I hope he will stay and come back to his
best condition.
 
I doubt he would look to replace Adebayor if he was sold, With Van Persie, Eduardo, Bendtner, Walcott and Vela all able to play their he would probably spend it on a CB and a CM.

But he should replace Ade in case he goes. If you think about it, Ade and Bendtner are the only tall and strong CFs that can win headers and protect the ball. The others are quick, skillful and technically better than the 2 of them, but they're not 'Post Players' as Pro Evo calls it ;)

Gunners striker ruled out for two weeks with hamstring injury

Arsenal striker Eduardo has suffered a setback following his return
to first-team action with the news that he will be out for two weeks.
The Croatia international made his return for the Gunners on Monday
night following the broken fibula and dislocated ankle injury he
sustained last February.

Eduardo netted a brace on his comeback, helping Arsenal to a 4-0 FA Cup win over
Cardiff City, and was replaced by manager Arsene Wenger on 67 minutes.
It has since emerged that the 25-year-old sustained a minor hamstring injury and
will now be sidelined for a fortnight.
Wenger told the club's official website: "Eduardo is out for two weeks.

Rosicky will be back in March end or so. But he'll start playing properly next season itself i guess.
By the way, Arshavin is going to make his debut against Sunderland. Looking forward for that match.
Too bad Dudu is gone again. But he'll be back real soon!!

I don't think you need a great "post player", just someone who can complement the other more skillful players around him.
Depending on how much you'd get for selling Adebayor, you could probably get two half decent players, a "Post player" and defender maybe if you add a bit of extra cash on top.

I think I know what you mean. Selling him and getting defenders and defensive midfielders would be a good way to balance our squad. But somehow a player like Ade would be missed IMO. We all know he's a prick but he's the one who can find the odd goal out of a Corner Kick when we're in a tight match. And Bendtner (still) isn't good enough. Not only he doesn't complement the others but he can ruin our attacks in a bad day.
