Sansom says Clichy should be the captain. I think taking all the age factor into consideration and honest playing for Arsenal, Toure, Clichy and Fabregas are the only players who can be the candidates for Captaincy. Fabregas is still young though. But i would surely prefer Toure. I just hope that Gallas asshole doesnt give away a goal or scores an own goal deliberately tomorrow!
 
there is only 3 players I see running and yelling at every play...Clichy ,Toure and obvious reason Doppy.

Another loss for arsenal and Wenger needs to be questioned weather he is fit for the job. everyone with half a brain knew the problems and issues way before the season started yet wenger turns a blind eye and waits till the bitter last minute before he realizes what MANY people have seen before:

Lets start of with gallas. Gallas wasn't fit for a captain right from the get go and when he sulked like a child back in feb against bham, every arsenal fan and most neutral fans can see that gallas wasn't fit to lead our team

Now lets discuss the squad itself. getting rid of flamini and hleb without replacing them last summer was a big concern. not only did we need to replace these two players, we ALSO had to add more for the depth in the squad because lets be honest. arsenal's first team last season where a match for united and chelsea but because injuries/suspensions happen, you need strength in depth.

Now back to a particular player we got rid of, GILBERTO. towards the end of last season, he showed why he is a great DM player and a GREAT leader for arsenal. He has showed great leadership, determination and balls throughout his career at arsenal but because his not a kid anymore, wenger had to sell him.

Right at the start of last season, people where convince that gilberto will be the new captain of arsenal. so what did wenger did instead? hand it over to a player who hasn't proven himself to be a leader and a player who was about to start his second season with arsenal.

You see, These are why arsenal are where they are at at the moment and rightly slow. all because of Wenger turning a blind eye in the above obvious issues/problems spamming since last season.

imo he really needs to go before he turns arsenal into a team no better then the likes of blackburn, everton etc(a mid table team) no desrespects to the teams i just mentioned but from being unbeatable to a team that has now lost 5 games before christmas and the SHAMBOLIC 4:4 draw, wenger needs to go before its too late.
 
I say we give Wenger one more season after this one. If he doesn't get it right (by that i mean, buy the players that'll strengthen the midfield, strikers and the defense) after the next season and should we repeat this level of performance (and it's likely if not much is corrected)Wenger will have to go.

If this was any other 'BIG' European team, their manager would have been sacked seasons ago. Riijkard who won Barca 2 leagues (back to back) and a Champions League after 6 yrs of Barca winning nothing left the club in 'mutual consent' after just two seasons of not winning anything (even though, they only lost on head-to-heads in one of those seasons).
 
Getting rid of Wenger would be a huge mistake. He put you where you are today. Your main problem is having to pay for the stadium and gambling that a small squad can keep competing. In any other league you'd be okay but the other 3 BIG teams are among the best in Europe.
A couple of experienced players in Jamuary would do well for you.

keepers? nothing special, but o.k.; not the biggest problem, thogh the positioning of Almunia on that chip shot from Robinho was awful.
wtf there was a highway in the middle of the deffence. a good CB would do. in colaboration with at least one good DMF. A real one like ALOU DIARA! and i say at least one because there isn't one single real defensive midfielder in the squad.
I have doubts about some players: Diaby is crap in the middle, helping defend, he's crap on the sides in offence, what's his purpose?! Song, he too short to be a real CB, too slow for a SB, doesn't get enough balls from opponents to be DMF; Bendtner?!?! he should be left on the bench for some matches, or should be loaned too improve himself, because he obviously can't reach Arsenal's hight.

What manager would you like to see?

I wouldn't want any other manager.

There is still alot of the season to go - If we finish out of the top 5 then it will be serious as we will have no European football.

But there is no way he will get sacked - unless we get relegated.

Games like yesterday were tough - we had alot of injuries etc - plus our captain decided to be a complete cunt.

With Gallas gone I can see us improving alot - so lets just wait and see.
 
he won't get sacked, cuz he built this young team, a different manager would be a blow for the team.
so, i won't think he'll leave the youngsters when it's the hardest for them.
he just has to buy some experienced players for the team, for the youngsters even.

p.s.: adriano will leave inter...hint hint. what do you guys think? (i know that we have attackers, but he has the finishing touch, unlike others...)
