Arsenal Thread

He's been brilliant Bobby to be fair, he's only 21 so this was his first year were hes turned potential into being a top player. That consistency will get tuned and he'll become even better.

15 goals and 4 assists with a 3-4 to is a very good season.

Yeah he's a bit older, but I did say if we keep him he will get better and more consistant...hopefully ;))

His stats are good/great this season but the majority of that was at the first part of the season. We need players to be good throughout the season, when the going is tough and we need players to be counted. That is our big problem.

I really hope we keep him, it's only by keeping players like him and bringing in better players that we are going to get anywhere.

I'm watching the reserves right now, and it's Alilalalialialialiaidere! Who knew!

He also just got rightly booked for diving. In a freakin reserve match! How some have fallen....

I think it's highly likely that Gary Cahill will be with us next season. Do you guys think he can be the error-free cold-blooded leader that we need in defense?

That's the thing though, he is a good defender, but you never know how he is going to be in our team and against teams in the Champs league etc and he will cost the earth probably.

If we do buy him though, I really hope he does well of course.

He's too young to be a leader but he's a great talent but again not a leader.

Im not even sure you can really buy leaders? They need to be experienced players at your club.

Any predictions for tommorow? Clichy to cost us a goal? Arsene Wenger rages at more water bottles? The team lacks mental strength? Jonney can I get a "SACK WENGER"?

I can't see us winning, unless our team get some strength from somewhere that has been lacking all season.

If we win I will be suprised.

I really hope they show passion and a will to win though.

Hats off to the team. I thought we did well all over the pitch today, very good defensively aswell.

Lets hope we can finish off the remainder of the season with wins and not drop below 3rd.

They showed alot of heart today, going into challenges, going for 50/50 headers. Arshavin was showing alot aswell when he came on, some good challenges and alot of fight in him.

Nice to see Ramsey get a goal after his injury problems, he's been unfortunate to go off the radar with all the hype surrounding Wilshere.

great win for us but i feel its too little too late

Definately too little too late, that's why I am not jumping through the roof.

But it goes to show how we can be and without Fab aswell. Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott and Nasri seem to be our future if we can keep hold of them all and build on that.

If we cut out the silly mistakes and finish more of our chances we could be on the brink of doing very well for years to come. Few players out and a few in. Looking forward to the summer and to see what happens.

it still did not prove much because today there was no pressure on arsenal to deliver a result today.

when there is no pressure, we play great, but when there is pressure and we need a win, we end up messing up big time.

i feel that had we still been in the title hunt before this game, united would have beaten us

Lets enjoy the victory...did great and we manage to get a win against Man U. Lets hope hope man U loose or draw against chelsea and we might have a chance. If we finish the season on a high note, I'd be happy and optimistic about next season.

TBH I dont mind nasri leaving us. He is a great player, but doesnt have the size or the consistency that we need. We have players of the same calibur that can contribute and do what he did this season. What we need a leader in that midfield, a defender and a pires type of player on the wing that have some size... and bring back that 4-4-2 that changed the epl for life =p

good point ! I saw Ramsey, Jack and Theo playing very well together looking for each other like mates at a club. Song was breaking up the movement well and silly vidic Handball  what a disgrace. Fergie said "Let win it with style" their better off beating us with loong ball tactics. It would be nice if we could catch Chels to 2nd spot :BOP:

gooners defo better team today, a deserved win.

played some showboat tyoe stuff at times in the first half imo...

seemed as tho arsene was trying to prove a point, maybe to the supporters or his opponents...

anyway, blows the title wide open agaim(!)

Let's face it, however wins the title will have deserved it, but will not be a memorable or "big" champion...

It still proves we can play well without Fab, we were still playing a Man United team that really needed to beat us or at least get a point and we were solid imo. I do agree about the pressure thing though it could have been a different story if we were still in with a shout of the league.

If Man United had a harder run in after chelsea I may of thought we still might have a chance of snatching the league :DD but after chelsea they have Blackburn and Blackpool I think? Chelsea have Newcastle and Everton which is a bit more tricky but the form they are in I can't see them dropping points to either of those.

It's as "Big" as they come for me personally. 19 is probably only 2nd to the first PL title we won in 1993.

I doubt many Man Utd fans will agree with you, especially those who lived through Liverpool's dominance in the '70's and '80's and probably never imagined they'd ever get close to 'Pool's 18 league title record, nevermind overtake it.

All I see is BEL19VE  can`t get bigger than that I`m afraid. We know mutd n their slogans to sell shirts, banners and whatever have you!

I did not said that because United will probaly win the title, but because the big clubs all lost a huge amount of points...and that in a season where traditional clubs who come after the big four (Everton and Villa) had also bad seasons...

what do you guys think of what graham said? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_6910011,00.html
he's very polite and praises almost wenger for being world class, but with the questions he's raising it seems to me he does question his ability. just my oppinion.
he's talking a bout a keeper that's not in anyone else's team. who might he be talking about? he might be right about burning Szczesny and our defenders would really do well in the midfield of some teams. but let's be serious.

the united match was great. and without cesc. maybe that counted in a good way, because jack and ramsey opened up the game across the wings more, when cesc always prefers to take the responsibility and open the opposing the defence more in the middle area. just an impression. but it is comforting to know we have jack and ramsey coming through, so losing cesc is not that scary. arsenal's future is with them.
bobby is right. walcott, jack and ramsey are players that should and will be the backbone of the team for years to come.

Oh, there's no doubting the quality of the top four has waned. The largest points total that Man Utd could finish with is 82 points, in another season that might have only been enough to scrape into the top 4.

But on the flip-side, it's made for a more entertaining title race.

lords....wengers think about replacing Arshavin with some midget still...I just hope its newspaper talk cause bojan or willian is def not what we need...We need proven players that have experience...

Like who?

Arshavin just doesn't look interested anymore when we play the smaller teams....against Man Utd and Barca he comes alive.

Sell him, we need players who perform in every match not just the big ones.
