Barcelona wont get Fabregas and wont spend 50m on him because they know for fact that they will hardly use him. he'll be barcelona's super sub and no matter how good a player is, 50m for a bench warmer is too much for a club.

A team spends 50m on a first team world class player, not a bench warmer. Barcelona realizes this and has even stated they wont break the bank for him either. not because they dont have the money(they do they just sold Toure) They cant justify the price tag for a bench warmer.
 
nah its just some typical spanish negotiation... You should get your mind ready to wake up in a few days ...turn the tv on to your favorite sports channel and heard the news that fab is gone to barca for a 40m ish price...

I believe Koscielny will be a strong signing for Arsenal and well-worth the £8-10 million that some believe it will take to convince Lorient to part with him. However, it seems clear that he is not ready for the full-time starting job and that his style of play and physical attributes are too similar to Vermaelen's for them to be effectively paired at this point in time.

tbh mate we could buy rio ferdinand, sergio ramos and Puyol tomorrow and we would still defend like a sunday league team.

The problem with arsenals defence(and has been for the past 5 seasons+) is not that our defenders cant defend, its because they cant defend as a "team" and thats all down to the defensive coach/the way we train in defending.

recruiting a decent defensive coach is alot more valuable then buying new cb's imho
 
you migt be right, jonney. might be the way we attack with 8 men at a time too, leaving only the center-backs to guard our back. a good keeper, which directs his defenders good can really help too.

well, i think a strong tall center-back would be better.
 
he's in. number 6 for him. it worries me that sky say that gallas and campbel are already free agents. how come? won't wenger rely on them at all for next season to give them an extension? maybe he anticipates a downfall for the two (expected for 33, 35 yo players). don't know.
 
Gallas isn't worth having in the dressing room. Not sure why you wouldn't keep Sol, he was pretty good imo - certainly could do worse as a backup for certain matches!

If Fabregas leaves, would you prefer Ozil or Gourcuff? (or someone else I guess)

Barcelona are in the shit financially.

They say they wont be paying 40-50mill EUROS! for Fab.

So It looks like unless they change their minds or get a bit of extra cash, they wont be getting him this season.

If Arsenal sell him for under 40million EUROS then I will be disgusted. There is absolutely no reason to sell him now for under 50million Pounds (not even euros).
 
Good for Barca, they shouldn't buy things they can't afford. On the other hand we still have to make affordable signings, so yeah Wenger is still a great manager.
 
looks like AW is still looking for another CB and will clarify the GK issues. I expect he will reiterate his trust for Almunia, unless a gk is for grabs for cheap.

He'll probably stay at this point, but what's to say he won't up and leave as soon as next summer rolls around? Barca will probably be back next summer to reclaim their "property".

Arsene said that Fabregas has 5 years left :CONFUSE: thought it was 4years. I`m a bit confuse though if Wenger admitted he never spoke to Cesc about his future. Why did cesc said he had the best conversation w/ Wenger...obviously Cesc is playing both sides to friends n fam he wants barca ,but to Wenger I rather be King at Arsenal then jester to barca.
