yea before wenger i know we wasnt consistant but we have been since wenger has been in charge. your stats prove that out of 10 seasons we have finished in the top 2 8 times. if that aint consistancy than what is lol. i would say in the past 20 years arsenal have been the most consistant team in the league minus manchester united

The only way he will be under immense pressure is if we do not challenge for the title this season and/or we go out of the top 4.

Although the champions league would be desirable, I think the league is more of a goal.

As soon as we slip up a little, you are on it like a fly on shit!

We are not going to win every game, but hopefully we will still be challenging for the league at the end of the season.

But the only way Wenger will leave is when he wants to, unless we do super shit, then there is no way he will get sacked.

Even if we don't finish in the top four he wont be sacked. He might step aside for a new manager, but I doubt they will get rid of him.
 
Fuck Wenger. The prick has to buy a fucking goal keeper!!! and Song, Diaby and Eboue r has dumb as fuck, replace the cunts. Shit, just when i started to beieve in this team. No season aint over, but it might as well be when where not winning games that we ought to be especially when rivals r dropping points. Same Old shit!!!

If we win our game in hand we will be second in the league, two points off of the leader.

Really, I don't know how people get this stressed out!!

If we were where Liverpool were and dropped the points then maybe, but now?! come on?

Its obvious this year the league is going to be alot more competitive and the top teams are going to drop alot more points. Its a long season.

People should save the stressing out for when there is something to actually stress about.

You not hearing me. i know the league is gonna be a whole lottougher this year. The point am making is, the manner in which where not winning games that we ought to be. A 2-0 up we were cruising, then within six minutes they're level and we're hanging on. Theres issues with our defending and goalkeeps that have yet to be resolved for 5 yrs now. Whats the point of scoring when you're gonna concede just as many. look at ManU, Man City, AZ, WestHAM, Even Blackburn, Individual errors especially from keepers are costing us goals.

If Wenger had/does address the problem with a good goal keeper and a proper DMF we could be 1st easily.
 
well credit to WH they took their chances and we need to improve...We don`t have a world class keeper and don`t think Wenger has employed any or nurtured as well. Im content we kept a point at least :COAT: .Fergie said he doesn`t think the top 4 will change yet? I think he has a valid point.

I heard you, but in most of the other games we scored much more than we let in, we averaged 3 goals a game. It was all going well (and still is). Then we have this hiccup and you start going mental about Wenger?! and what he should and shouldn't do.

I was just pointing out, that if you are getting this uptight now, you are in a whole world of pain for the rest of the season ;))

The way we play, we are always going to let in goals, I think we just have to accept that. Hopefully we score more than we let in.

I agree it is very frustrating even more so as it is a thing Arsenal have been doing for the last couple of seasons. Where we go ahead and then just play half hearted and shit, just expecting that we will win. I think it is the mentality of the team that needs to be sorted.

Whenever we go on a bit of a run now, we come crashing down, because we seem to get a bit cocky. Its like they all have memories of a fish.

It is frustrating, but it could be ALOT worse. I am happy we are competing for the league at the moment, long may it continue.

On a serious note, west ham got lucky. flukey goal by carlton cole and a dive for the penalty mixed with a fantastic lucky save by green at the end by van persies shot
 
West Ham played well for one half - first half they were rubbish.

1st Goal - Good Poach by Carlton "roasting" Cole from Mannone's stupid one handed save.

2nd - 4 guys couldn't knock him off the ball in the corner, but a little flick by stupid stupid Song drops Cole like an old lady got hit by a car.

Fair enough they pegged us back, but we must peg back this triat of losing concentration in the second half.

Almunia and Fabianski are fit. I have no confidence in any of our keepers. Fabianski is just as error prone - Carling Cup final vs Chelsea was evident enough.
 
Just one of those games. Hard to swallow but sh*t happens sometimes. Carlton Cole deserves a move up to a bigger club IMO. Not top four but he could easily turn out for Villa, Everton or Sp*rs.
 
Ramsey plays like a veteran imo and Merida is not too off the mark.I feel we have a Keeper crisis we seem to find the back of the net fairly easy but so does our opponent :( . I`m happy to see Nasri,Eduardo and Bendtner back I do miss Theeeo! Theeeo!
 
Wow, Arsenal really do play like mini-Barcelona at time. Last night was highly enjoyable, some of the one touch pass and move (and little shimmies to dodge attackers) was utterly brilliant.

Given how the other big 4 have kind of stagnated/gotten worse, maybe Arsenal aren't such a bad bet this year...
 
I thought Eastmond had a great game in DMF. Let Ramsey (hat's off, top top game) and Merida (mini Cesc) to roam. If i was Diaby, i'd be worried.

I thought Merida's deliveries into the box were amazing. One thing that always gets me is our crosses (looking at you Clichy) and corners mostly end up in the keepers hands. Maybe i'm being a tad too critical, but other teams seem to take advantage of corners, and we tend not too...... though i did like the corner in Leige when Eduardo stuck out a knee :)
